[Q]How to restore Imei for LG P970? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

my sisters phone was having a sim card security error and after googling i came across this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1238066&page=3
i followed the proceeders written on page 3 and the error is gone but the imei number is gone too. So i was trying to restore it but i havent had luck yet. I have already searched and tried to restore it with tutty but havent had any luck yet.
The phone is not rooted and i honestly dont know what i am doing lol. i just start messing with it since i was bored. Can anybody just give me plain simple way of restoring it. I did write number on a notepad before doing anything it.

Please Check
your IMEI no. by dialing *#06#
if it is saying invalid
then
- go to engineer mode with this code "* # * # 3646633 # * # *" (just type it on call pad)
2- then follow that path --> CDS info --> Radio info --> Phone1 (for the first imei)
3- at the top there is a command line which begins "AT+" just type there "AT +EGMR=1,7,"IMEI_1" (instead of IMEI_1 put your first imei number)
4- hit send command
5-if you done just reboot the phone, if you change the second imei go to step 2 and select "Phone2"
6-and enter the code "AT +EGMR=1,10,"IMEI_2" (instead of IMEI_2 put your second imei number) hit send command
7-reboot
Initialy when you give a send commend it may not respond. Unless you have a rooted ;phone and write or edit system is enabled. For this You should root your phone. Install ES. Explores r Root explores etc or by available means you should enable write permission. Then send command well be executed.
If this is not responding.
Then use this LG Flash tool, an old one. Through the process your IMEI may be restored, if you have registered your phone with LG.

[Q] Sim card Network Problem

Hi,
Suddenly my Canvas HD is not recognizing any simcard from today. Tried many different sim cards that are working on other phones but not working on any of the sim card slots on my Canvas HD.
What can I possibly do to resolve this? Any help will be appreciated as I am too scared.
P.S - My Canvas HD is rooted and I am on Android 4.2 ROM.
Update : I tried flashing .20 Stock ROM via SP tools also, but no luck.

did ur phone restored, from Forum or by MMX Customer Support,
I took it to service center. Both the simcard slots were broken and I had to pay hefty for it. It's working fine now but the slots are too sensitive as I saw a lot of people with similar problem.
isnt it covered in warrenty?

Hi
To set IMEI back using simple method follow th steps given below.
1. write *#*#3646633#*#* on your Dial pad. then an Engineer mode will ope.
2. Go to
Connectivity > CDS Information > Radio Information
3. For IMEI 1 select phone 1
Foe IMEI 2 select phone 2
4. In this window in irst line AT+ is already written,
just write E next to it, various commands will drop down,
5. If you selected phone 1, then select command AT+EGMR=1,7,""
If you selected phone 2, then select command AT+EGMR=1,10,""
6. write yor IMEI no. (you can find it on your mobile box or below battery) betwwen double inverted comma,
example. AT+EGMR=1,7,"911234567894567"
7. click on SEND AT COMMAND button,
8. Reboot your phone.
9. Check your IMEI using *#06# number on dial pad.
If your engineer mode is not opened, then go to settings > Apps.
then select all apps and open engineer mode.apk app
uninstall updates, and again try above steps.
If you are unable to do so try this one
MtkDroidTools 2.4.7 it will help you replace IMEI number
Press Thanks If I Helped You
I tried almost all the methods those are available except for one, that is SN_Station as my lappy is not accepting adb driver but none of the method helped me. Finally I went to Service center and I got my Motherboard replaced and now everything is working fine. I might have to write my wifi mac address using SN_Station and every time I flash new ROM I got a new wifi network named NVRAM Warning err 0x10, Though for now I have rectified my problem using this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2197378
But I would write my wifi MAC address using SN_Station as my mac address changes every time I flash new ROM.

IMEI BUG Issue fixed...

:angel:As we all know that in today's scenario most of the peoples are facing 'imei' issues,
due to which there mobile network has been lost..
so, I have solution of it....
It works for all devices but dont use it for wrong purpose...
I prefer you all to only enter your origional imei no. not the fake one..
and also dont change your imei no.
now here is the procedure, how to fixed your imei related bug....
Rooted device isn't needed for it..
applicable for both rooted or un-rooted device...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
first of all go to the dial menu of your mtk device.
1. enter *#*#3646633#*#* (this will make u enter in engineer mode)
2. select CDS information.
3. select radio information.
4. nw select phone 1 or 2 whosesoever's imei no. you want to change or fix.
5. nw type - 1st imei - AT+EGMR=1,7,"IMEI"
2nd imei - AT+EGMR=1,10,"IMEI"
6. then hit send command and reboot
***congratulation You have fixed the bug.****
In some devices it shows an error like "cannot be used in user build"
1. so in this condition.... the easiest solution is to Give space after "AT+"
for eg:- AT+ EGMR=1,7"987879678564556"
remember 1 thing 'EMEI' no. must be of 15 letters.....
and use only origional 'IMEI' no.
Thankyou

[Q] Restore Original IMEI LG P715

It was long before I have rooted my mobile and flashed various KDZ through flash tool and flashed many custom roms. Some how my IMEI has changed long before itself, but I didn't cared much of it since everything was ok. But now I just wondering if there is any way to restore my original IMEI.
There was guide for restoring IMEI after brick by @neutrondev that was only for SINGLE SIM version, Can anyone help to Restore IMEI of DUEL SIM version of L7 II or Anyone have duel_sim.qcn file?

Same here, bro! But I insuccessfully managed to restore atleast one of the IMEI. ( "15digit-number"00)
Having 2 zeros at the end. And 2nd showing 00.
I think there might be one on 4PDA, but I couldn't find it. You may ask @neutrondev, he quit deving for L7II but not left XDA. He might be able to create a imei_dual.qcn
If anyone having a good phone (dual sim) is willing to do something that I ask (I will also have his IMEI's which won't get public) I can solve your problem. @santhoosh

Will it work even If I have airidosas`s JellyKernel installed on my p715?
JellyKernel is for p710 which is single sim but still works on my dual sim p715.
Only buttons are not in order and I think only 1 sim will work.

OK! M8. So now we can backup IMEI Partition with @neutrondev 's TWRP.
If we mess up our IMEI's we can simply restore it with TWRP. (thanks @neutrondev)

Imei Problem

Hello xda users,
Yesterday I flashed a custom rom (Darksense) on my elephone p9000. Everything went fine, that's what I thought.
My imei are changed to 111111111111111 and 222222222222222 , I cant receive sms and calls anymore.
Is there any way to change imei for the elephone p9000 ?
I was looking on engineer mode but...
There's no 'cds informations' on this phone.
Thanks in advance for any help.
reflash the stock rom and then follow the video https://youtu.be/w9POQK3kf6U
Reinstalled the Stock ROM but there's still no 'cds informations'
I'm really lost, cant receive any sms nor call :crying:
http://bbs.elephone.hk/thread-12457-1-1.html#.WBzMwPqLQdU
This method returns me that error: "Execution Warning : NVRAM database file is inconsistent with target load"
Still having the imei problem. My phone is a toy right now.
Can anyone give me some help ?
Been waiting for months now to see if the IMEI can be recovered. At this point it's a glorified PDA...
Moved on to bigger better things...
Managed to fix it !

Trid this before but hell, try again.
Same results - after entering AT+EGMR"IMEI" (imei number, not IMEI....) I hit Send AT Command and get " INFO - This command is not allowed in UserBuild"
Still no love.....
@ultramag69
Add a space between AT+ and EGMR.
The command must looks like that:
For IMEI 1: AT+ EGMR=1,7,”YOUR NEW IMEI"
For IMEI 2: AT+ EGMR=1,10,”YOUR NEW IMEI"

Download MauiMeta 3G, install the drivers for P9000. I think you can use the same drivers as SP flash tool. Run Mauimeta, choose something like "flash imei", laod file witch is named MDDB_**********.EDB. Shut down your phone, press on start and turn your phone on. Write your imei into the textfields and flash it. (For me it worked only with Stockrom)
