Now that I had a look into the test build of the Jelly Bean for Xperia P, I thought of sharing my views on it. I'll include a couple of screenshots of the new features as well. (See the attachment)
This is a test build so, No comments to :
1. Is it smooth or is it lagging?
2. How is the battery life?
This is a quick review of the updated stuff in the ROM. If you want to know anything more, please ask. I think I didn't miss anything though.
Camera
I don't know why DoomLord said the camera seems to have changed because I didn't see any changes at all. It's just the same as it is on ICS.
Media Apps
The Media apps (Album, Movies, Walkman) have been updated to the latest versions. In the Album app you get an option to add tags to the photos (See the SS). In the Walkman app you'll get more options to tweak the sound like, Surround sound, ClearAudio+, Clearsterero, ClearPhase, xLoud and Dynamic normalizer.
BE
It's just the BE not BE2 and I failed to enable it. (Guess it's the unlocked bootloader)
Power Management
It also has changes. Now we have more options like Stamina mode, Low battery mode and location based WiFi. (See the SS for more deatils on these features)
Themes/Lock Screen
We've a new theme chooser. (See the SS) The lock screen is also new. I think it's the Xperia Z stuff. As you might have guessed, we cannot have notifications on the losk screen anymore.
Launcher, Status bar and notification panel, Misc
The launcher is the same. (the one with the options to add 7 home screens).
The status bar remains the same but now with the option to display the battery percentage or not.
The notification panel has been changed to te latest from Sony (Same as of Xperia T JB). Now we can have quick toggles for WiFi, Bluetooth, Sound, Data and there's a shortcut to the settings menu.
Contacts, Messaging apps are also updated. (See the SS)
Google Now
The first thing I tried to figure out was Google now; tried the home button, searched the lock screen etc but it seems it's not there! May be Sony is still to add it or they abandoned it! Anyway I couldn't find it anywhere!
Conlusion.
Apart from the missing Google now, it's quite a nice package I should say.
If test version has few bugs then it means official version will be almost lagfree and bug free.
What about battery life? Any improvement?

I install xperia s app package last night and i notice much better scrolling performance with cosmic flow as background, and with standard wallpaper scrolling is like on gb, i am on 4.0.3 so i thin on 4.0.4 is even better. it seems that xperia s home app is much more optimized for ics than ray stock home
Because Sony turned off the gpu acceleration in 4.0.4, regardless of the device in use. In Xperia s there won't be any slowdown with disabled acceleration since they use dual core for starters, unlike our phone.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1240 This is the general section of this...section. Applies to all phones, including Ray, but for some reasons it is not written there.
Development section is for developing custom ROMs, kernels, tweaks, tools and other stuff.

Well that makes it a bit pointless to put this thread imo, because the one on 4.0.4 official is already as fast as gb one. Why don't you update first to 4.0.4?

To install : Put the file on the sd card and copy it Go to system / app and delete your home .apk and paste the copied file and set permission to rw-r-r
I Have tested it on my Neov running Xperia Ultimate 2.03 and it works fabulously

Hey guys, try out SJB for 2011 xperia line, its an awesome rom !
As a begineer I would like other pro users here, to share there apps or mods that work on this rom (SJB) . It will help other users too.
Users can post their requests on this post :sly:
Sony Xperia Arc
Powered by Super Jelly Bean
Kernel : Super Fusion
I use v.7.1 with SuperFusion v2
Good ROM, great performances and battery drain.
- I use "Xperia Honami Keyboard for CM10" MOD and works well
- with this ROM works all theme for CM10.
- Motorola camera app works perfect, and isn't affected by green preview problem. I recommend using this.
Only problem that I notice it's google maps compass/indicator problem....indicator go crazy and there are graphical artifacts when navigate.
This is a CM10 bug, and if someone can help us to fix it, will be good. Maps navigation it's impossible...
does anyone have the same problem as me?
i have always done all 3 wipes etc but everytime i try to copy something to system/app, it fails
this occured to me in sjb 7 and 7.1
You guys know that this is the apps section and not the q&a section of the arc forums?

No, stock ICS don't work on JB.
I use Motorola Camera app (pushed it into system/apps) and works very well. But even the included camera app in v7.1 version goes well, but it's affected by green preview bug.
Motorola camera app don't have this bug.

But THIS isn't a thread to discuss APPS, THEMES, MOD or TROUBLE SHOOTING for Super Jelly Bean?
Because for now, I read less about it...In my post I wrote mods that I've use, Apps...Camera app that I suggest to use...
I think that It's time to rename this thread in something else...
This forum works well because there are sections: Q&A section it's dedicated to every questions do you have to post. Every. Noob or not.
But, when you write questions about others in a thread "title" to a specific argument, you're going OT.
Sorry my controversy, but at this point I don' t understand the meaning of this thread.
In the first post I would put links to dedicated kernel, optimal configuration, tips about battery safe settings, themes that you used with this rom...mods compatible or personal experience about mod don't indicated as compatible, but that works...
Then, In my opinion this should be the direction.
So, if you want to live up to the title, the next posts should be:
- Version of the SJB ROM Installed
- Kernel version
- Mods installed, or about you want to ask the functioning in this ROM.
- Installed Themes (tested and works)
- Apps recommended or ideals for this ROM.
- Any tips or inquiries about these topics.
What do you think? It's this the sense of this thread?
@DomusX10 agree with you.
Have a question though. Do you think this thread was really needed. Q and A thread for SJB already exist
And there's a dev thread too. And as OP says its the "best" rom. Do you think there is something like best rom or best kernel?
If someone is asking you "walkman for 4.3" and if this is Q and A thread you can simply tell him the answer. And last, theres nothing like discussing abt themes, apps, mods abt rom(s). Op already has the compatible mods list in dev thread. And apps and themes taste vary from person to person. I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

Yes, I agree that already exist a Q&A...I think that creator of this thread thought to make a thing like that made for slimbean...a kind of container for opinions and advice, directly by users..
In order not to encroach on the main discussion of questions on a specific app or maybe a mod.
But it is not working well and that's why I wrote .. I think as it is useless.

Hey guys, I want to share a ROM cooked by me with ya all.. This is based on firmware 6.2.A.1.100
While using various ROMs I found that there were a lot bloatware which would slow the phone.. moreover another observation of mine was the gmail and other google apps which further contributed to slow the system. So, in this version of ROM I got rid of 'em all!!
Its an all in one ROM means the latest Movies, Album and Walkman app from Xperia Z1 and Ultra are pre-installed.
I loved the Nexus 5 Boot animation so I also added that!!! We waste a lot of time installing a ROM and then installing the mods, why not use a ROM with all the mods and tweaks preinstalled!!
Check Features!! Enjoyyyy!!!!!!!!!! :good::good:
Working:
Everything
Bugs:
None!!! I didn't find any
Features:
#better img quality tweak
#free more ram when needed tweak
#z1 movies, walkman and videos
#Cybershot 5.7.2 by Rizal Lovins Camera
#6.2.A.1.1100 firmware
#Android 4.4 Kit-Kat chargemon
#Google Nexus 5 Boot animation
#superSU preinstalled
#heavily debloated
#no google gibbrish gmail, gtalk, hangouts etc.
#no timescape and FBiX
#busyboxed
#zipaligned
#z1 system sounds
#device name = Xperia sola
#super fast!!!
Thanks to XDA
And to munjeni for porting JB for our sola!!!!

bad zip can't open
Size.. Explaination
Guys, it is debloated but the thing is that I took a base ROM on which I did 'what I did' and that ROM was over 500mb, It was a port of this newer firmware 6.2.A.1.100 so I believe its coz of this that the size is pretty large.. I'll see what I can do to reduce the size..
It does work...

Camera problem
I found out recently that there is a problem in this mod. When I'm recording, the camera forces close but sometimes when I stop recording it will freeze for a long time and it will say "camera not available". I tried to force stop and clear data but the results are the same. So I have to restart my phone to record videos again. Please can you fix this? Also tried to flash it again but did not work. This is the only problem I found in this mod. Btw it's from my XSola running stock ICS

I think you should make a pack for last cm11 build. It will probably be final build.

If you can take permissions, home keyboard Walkman album etc. ported for cm11. Only need framework port. If I had time I would try to do it.
