probems with App2SD and boot stuck

hi there,
yesterday i was using Villain5.4 ROM and bought new 8GB MicroSD
i was trying to use app2SD so i partitioned the MicroSD to
- FAT32 6.8GB
- Ext2 512MB
- Swap the remained allocation
(all using Paragon Partition Manager)
and i've rebooted my HTC Hero so the App2SD was working!
but i couldn't mount my SD to my PC and couldn't reach any data in my SD
so i tried to format my SD and reallocated it into 8GB (using paragon partition too)
then rebooted my phone....
and i got stucked in bootscreen!!!
so i've tried to use my old 2GB MicroSD (without using App2SD)
got the same problem
i've tried to
- Wipe data and flash the new Villain5.5: FAIL
- Flash the official rom: FAIL
now my phone still stuck at the bootscreen
what i can do??
plz somebody get me out of here !!!
thx a lot
can you give some more details, what exactly is the problem when mounting the card to the pc etc.
"FAIL" isn't an error message that we could evaluate here...

Sorry I'm some kind of newbie here
when I mount the card to pc(through my htc hero) and chose "disk drive"
then, nothing happened
"FAIL" that I mean is "it didn't work"
ps. I think the App2sd function maybe not disabled yet, is that possible?
If that's possible, how can I disable it?
Thanks
"fail" and "don't work" are both equally useless. imagine your car breaks down, would you got to a car forum and ask "my car doesn't work, can you help me?"...
tell us what happens. if nothing happens then tell us that nothing happens. if you get an error message quote it here. and describe exactly what you did.
now take your phone, install the latest amon ra (1.6.2) if you haven't done already. use the recovery to partition your sdcard to fat only or fat and ext2, do not use ext3, ext4 or swap. then go through all the wipe options, then try to flash a rom.

[Q] <Vibrant> Fixing SD Card Mount Error

Hello guys,
I have a problem that is very rare and I have not got into any other other threads to fix this one in particular.

So I got the phone into Download mode flashed the Boot loader for Frojo and then Odin again but with Eugene_2E_JK2_Froyo.tar.md5

Is there anything I can do to restore my SD CARD?
With this problem there will be pretty much anything to do to the phone any more as it wont read the SD CARD for files, apps or anything

[Q] Error mounting sd card

Hi,
I know there are many threads around about this issue, but none of them are really my situation....or have any solutions to my problem.
I've flashed miui 2.10.26 rom onto my s2 today (android version 4.0.3), and when trying to mount sd card in CWM mode, it gives the error "Cant mount sd card."
Could Odin be able to fix this?
any help appreciated! ><

[Q] CMW Cant mount SD card, please help!

Hi,
I have not long bought my first tablet - its an ly-f1 / alldro speed etc clone. It came with android 4.0.4 and was already rooted. Play store access isn't bad for standard, i have found most things i have looked for, although some say device is not compatible - for example the speedtest.net app and itv player. There's some it cant find either like grand theft auto 3 for example.
The performance for the tablet is ok but i understand a custom rom could improve it and also give better play store access/compatibility. So i started looking at what roms were available, i found troys CM9 and CM10, so wanted to try CM9 first. This is where i started running into problems. Mainly finding everything i needed - CMW, ADB drivers etc.. oh and mounting the sdcard! as below..
I managed to find CMW 6 for the ly-f1, which i copied across onto the tablet and ran using a shell to install it. I copied across the CM9, compatibility and gapps zip files to the internal sdcard. So far so good, however......
when i rebooted into CMW and went to "install zip from sdcard" then "choose zip from internal sdcard" it comes up saying "cant mount /emmc/"
If i try "choose zip from sdcard" rather than internal sdcard, it says "cant mount /sdcard" - to be expected as i dont have one in it! but i cant figure out why the internal one doesn't work and the whole thing is doing my head in! so need help!
When the tablet is on i can get into the internal sdcard fine and if i connect it to the pc i can see it fine. I've looked around google and the forums and tried a few various things with no joy - for example i tried copying everything off the internal sdcard and formatting it - done this through the android setttings and through windows - both fat32 and ntfs just to see, none made any difference.
I then thought i'd try find another version of CMW in case it was that, i found a version 5 which is when i required the ADB drivers as it was a different method for installing it - got it installed and it rebooted into CMW but i had the exact same problem, still cant mount it, so i am still unable to flash to a new rom.
Am i missing something?? I am quite new to all this so not sure if i need to do anything else first or for this to work such as new kernels or something? Is there another method i can use to flash the device? I know theres livesuite but not sure if this is suitable for CM9 since theres 3 zips that need installed? i cant understand why it cant mount the internal sdcard, any ideas??
Any help would be very much appreciated!
Thanks
D
Can anyone please help? I want to flash CM9 or CM10 as above.
I found a version 5 and 6 of cwm for the ly-f1/clones and installed it, can reboot into recovery but everytime i go to install zip from sdcard it says it cant mount it.
What is the best version of cwm to use and where can i get it? I take it there is no other method to install CM9/10, it must be done using cwm? Do i need to do anything other than simply having a rooted device and installing cwm to get it all to work?
any help much appreciated!

[Q] Trio stealth g2 hype copying firmware from good unit to bad

Hi,
I have 2 Trio Stealth G2 Hype tablets that I bought for very cheap for my kids. Last weekend one of them got stuck on the initial boot screen. Originally this is all it did but I've played around a bit, using AML flash and gotten it to the point where it is now booting into recovery (<3e>). When it does so I get an error that says E:Bad bootloader arguments "(null)" followed by E:failed to mount /sdcard (No such file or directory) 4 times and then errors that it cannot mount /sdcard, Can't mount /sdcard/factory_update_param.aml and "unknown volume for path [/udisk/factory_update_param.aml].
I do get all the normal options for wiping data/factory reset, apply update from sd card etc. I tried wiping/factory resetting but it just boots into recovery. I'm not exactly sure what this means but I suspect that the firmware has been wiped from my device or that the internal SD card is somehow corrupt. I could be way off, any thoughts are appreciated.
Since I have a working tablet I was wondering if there was a way to pull the factory firmware off of that one so I can use it on this one by putting it on an external SD card. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Or if anyone knew of a 3rd party firmware for this tablet I'd try to flash that.
Sorry if this is the wrong forum and for my relatively newbie questions. I am a software developer by trade and have done some Android work but am relatively inexperienced in this field.
