[Q] Help Unbrick my xperia P - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi everyone...
Yesterday my sxp was working alright when i decided to relock bootloader. So I used relock ftf file and flashed it via flashtool. Now I used SUS to update my phone. But when i pressed Vol down and plugged in usb, i just got a red led and sus didn't detect my phone. I thoght battery is not enough, now the situation is:
***when i connect my phone to wall socket, red led turn on for few seconds, then it turn into green led for 1-2 second and then led goes off.
***if i try to use power + vol up/down....no vibration...only blinking red led for couple of seconds
***phone is not being detected by SUS or flashtool, as connecting via usb holding vol down button only gives red led.
I am stuck here. Any help is appreciated.

Which relock file did u flashed... And after that did u flashed stock firmware also???

Its even better if you flash stock before you flash relock tft. Stock kernel works with locked and unlocked bootloader. But if you are using custom or cm kernel, then it will cause exactly what happened to you...

Ohai there... Had this problem myself, and i found out that you have to flash stock firmware after relocking... This also happend to my XGo, and flashing stock firmware fixed the problem! Hope you have a working Xperia P afterwards!
Also charge your phone over night before flashing!

If u cant turn ur phone after hours of charging. ..Take out battery...charge with auto charger...put it on..it will vibrate than flash it...

there used to glow a green or blue led light when i connected the device in flash or fastboot mode.

im willing to give the device away if someone wants to change for any working sony smartphone..

I have an unlocked bootloader. I tried using fastboot to flash the kernel.elf file in the JB rom zip file but it failed. It said my device had to be rooted and all but my device was already rooted. I used the flashboot fix specified in the thread attached below. It worked and i flashed a stock rom just to be safe and get a working phone.

[Q] Xperia sola not starting, red LED on charging

Today my Xperia sola completely discharged while usage and automatically turned off.
I connected it to charger after an hour, red LED turned on but the screen didn't show up the charging state.
It has been three hours now, and it is not responding to anything.
No effect on pressing power button alone or in combination with volume (up or down) button.
Also, the red LED turns off after half an hour, while it is still connected to the charger.
I have connected and disconnected three times now, and it's the same story: red LED for half an hour, then nothing, absolutely nothing.
Please, help!!!
Have you fixed it? If yes, how? Got the same problem!!

To enter flash mode, press volume down while connection USB, the led should turn on green.
If it works you can ftray repair with PC Companion, or Sony Update Service.
It may install a different formware than you have (latest available at your region)
You can download flashtool, and install older firmware.

[Help] [Xperia U] my device is dead

Sorry to post this here but after two days searching, I don't know what to do. Three days back my xu was very weird, rebooting and didn't recognize the sim card. After that I try to flash a stock untouched rom and kernel... and now it doesn't boot, charge and connect to flashmode. I searched in google and xda for answers and tried some methods to bring it back to life, but nothing works. Help me please u.u, maybe there's something I've missing

Did you try to flash a custom kernel too to see if boots? Maybe from miui since there is a version for locked bootloader too.

yes, but when I try to boot up it doesn't, keeps stucked in flashmode
When i was locked bootloader it happens more or less the same:
Out batery for 5min+-
Then you put in batery
You pluged in charger if will so a red light.
Trie to power on you will see green ligth this is a proces unpluged it..
Here we have to divide:
If ypu have linux conect with flashmode mode and type in terminal usblist it show you a list of plugged devices in your computer take the line of sony erison and compare with the rules you have before mayne the code have change.
In windows i dont know hoq to do it...
Open flashtool preparate the ftf and plugged your mobile phone pres volume - until it start to flashing it forces not to go out from flashmode
Tell what happen

that hapened to me when i've flashed custom kernel on locked bootloader.....my device didn't get boot so i took out my battery & waited for 10-15 sec & allowed xperia u to discharge completely by draining ststic charge left, this can be done by pressing power button..without inserting the battery....
after that i directly booted into fastboot mode & flashed stock ftf....hurray..!
note: this trick won't work if ur battery is completely discharged....so for that use any universal charger..& charge it & the do the above process....
also if u have locked bootloader..there are less chances of getting hard bricked....!

Ur device can bring led will booting
And you can charge your phone

Charge ur phone about 1 hour
Make sure their is enough battery
Now try unlocking ur device bootloader
Don't use flash tool to unlock
Make sure you done it right
Then flash a custom kernel
If it opens go to recovery and do factory reset
Or
Flash recovery for stock ics locked bootloader
Boot and flash an ics stock based Rom
For LOcked bootloader
Do a factory reset
And done
Hope this help
If I did not work
Pm me I will try to solve this problem
Don't worry this is a softbreak
So. It is due to device fw/software
Problem so it can be fixed here on xda

many thanks, I'll post feedback soon
EDIT: @Mtakween, I can't charge my device, when I plug the wall charger or pc usb (not universal charger) it boots (no sony logo) but like it is connected to flashmode or sometimes the red notification led turns on. I will try to charge the original battery with another method, because I was using a small battery but doesn't fit. For all of this and my locked bootloader, I can't do what you say (flash a custom kernel) or you mean I should try it anyway?. Thanks for your time
@Mtakween I can't unlock the bootloader (bootloader unlock status: no) so I can't connect to fastboot, don't matter what I do. I can still flash stock kernels/roms successfully, but the phone doesn't boot, keeping always with the same behavior: red led notification/green led bar (flashmode) when is connected to charger :/
after try all I can and leave it in the technical service, my device is totally dead. I want to say thanks to all devs and users. For now, I'm out of the android world. Good bye friends

Green led means chared too.
How do you tell it is in flash mode? What is flashtool reporting?
Flash mode IS what you need to flash new firmware.

phone is not detected on pc and can't start phone in fast or flashboot, the LED turns green for 1 or 2 sec than turns red then the phone start (sony logo then black screen)
Then install drivers again
Install those from flashtool\drivers folder choose the ones for xperia u,p,sola,go and last 2 optins also, thats fastboot and flash drivers.
Open flashtool and try plug phone in fastboot mode, watch the led, if it start booting remove phone and watch right down on your pc screen to see if its installing. When it finish try again.
This is 99% of these problems...

yes do as said on above post. it couldnt be a hard brick. AFAIK hard bricks only occur if you flash something not meant for your device. except in Z series.

What windows versioon do you have?
Force power off, press power + volume up untill you feel (1+) 3 vibrations and try.
Try fastboot too and see if there is anything in flashtool log.

You had fastboot/flash mode working before and now they don't?
Do you feel the 3 vibrations?
Is it charging when pluged to cahrger when off, or even with sony logo?

I don't understand?! I can't go in flashboot mode, how can I flash with stock firmware ? and does stock firmware means the factory one?
if the led is turning green it means you can. but if you dont immeadiately flash stock firmware. it will boot. so you need to prepare stock ftf firmware for your device, choose it, wait for flashtool to tell you to connect your phone in flashmode. then connect your phone in flashmode

Yes it's a problem, but I've seen a few that have managed to fix it by disconnecting the battery.

Nope, u need to open it and disconnect it
You dont need disconnect anything. Your phone is not bricked, its working. The only problem is your drivers, you have to manage install them and it will work. This has been here thousand times.
