Bootlop after installing Custom Rom - HTC Amaze 4G

I was on the Stock GB for amaze 4g and I unlocked my bootloader useing the All in one tool. I was able to unlock the bootloader successfully. However when I install a custom rom it boots into the rom but then the phone reboots just as the rom boots. Ive tried installing different roms but to no avail. Please help me resolve the Issue as i want to use Jb on my phone rather than GB or ICS.
I will be really great full.
PS. my phone is S-off, I dont know whether that makes a difference.
Thanks.

The thing is you can't flash any ics jb custom Rom while your on Gb Rom you have to flash an ics ruu 1st before doing anything else..now all you have to do is go to 4ext format everything except sd card and download the latest ota update which sportsstar has posted on dev section and flash it from 4ext then you have ics firmware..then you can flash any Rom just make sure you do a full wipe before flashing any custom roms

Did you wipe cache, dalvik cache and data/factory reset? (Complete wipe)
What recovery did you flash?

[Q] S-off or S-on ?

What exactly are the benefits of gaining s-off ??
I am confused...i have a gsm evo 3d and some tutorials are of s-off and others s-on ?
What will be the best... i am a newbie at this !
Click Thanks if i helped !!
With S-OFF you can flash PG86IMG.zip files from SD card in bootloader (ICS firmware, radio...), also you don't have to always flash boot.img via fastboot after flashing of new ROM.
Forgot I something?

To add to this, s-on seems to not play well with ics. Most of the issues people have with ics not working right or bootlooping come from s-on users. I highly recommend s-off if possible.

Yeah, you should definitely go with the tutorials for S-OFF if you are flashing new Roms, and expertimenting with your phone. For the most ICS roms, you have to flash new firmware packages (PG86IMG.zip), and you can do this if you are S-OFF.
It means if i have s-on i can't flash every rom but if i gain s-off it allows full compatibilty?
Am i right ?

I would say go with S-off. I had S-on and it took so much work to get new roms and it was just a pain in the butt. I am now running revolutionary S-off and am using 4ext recovery so i can easily put on new roms in just a few mins. I hope i helped.
Ah crap i just reported this thread for posting warez by goddamn mistake!
My bad
Keeping on topic: I'd say definitely S-off and there is loads of threads on how to do it. Just have a read through them all and try it out, ask for help if you need it and someone is bound to help

But 4ext recovery is available on s-on !
S off makes it easier to flash roms along with any kernel . Best route to go.

I have two EVO 3d's one is s-on and the other is s-off, both running 4ext touch recovery and both have the same experiance and the same battery life, no extra steps needed to flash roms or kernels..only thing is that only signed packages can be flashed through the bootloader, other than that...no difference.
S off is a life saver. It just is. No matter what HTC does if a dev can get s off for my device. I'm doing it.

Another 1/2Noob wants Rom'N help

I am only 1/2 a noob cause I did this back in June - I rooted & installed CleanRom. I am 98% sure I did not go S-off, I am not sure what firmware I am on - Screenshot attached - hope it is helpful. Actually, from your baseband version, you're on gingerbread firmware.
So you can either flash NeoMax with an old firmware patch, or update to ics with a RUU.
I recommend updating to ics firmware.

Yes update to the latest ruu first. It will make things so much easier. Be aware that you need to get everything off you phone before you start the process, it will erase everything except for what is on the external sd card.
And yes this qualifies you as a full blown n00b. Sorry.

yep, as stated by other memebers you are runing GB with ICS firmware patch. which is fine but your radios are out dated.
you have 2 options at this point.
option 1 is to update to the .12 ruu, the one before the global release. this will give you the ability to flash newer roms that are not built off the global release, which there are more options to flash. this method will keep you s-on and still enjoy all the wonderful roms out there.
option 2 is to update to the global ruu. this will give you the most up to date rom s, but the downside is if you want to go back to an earlier build of ICS like neo's non global rom you will need to s-off the device.
let me know what option you want and i can help you with a mini guide on updating.

I think 3.14 based roms still work on global firmware as long as you use the right kernel.
But nonetheless, it's always best to be on a rom matching your firmware.

Man you guys rock!
What reason is there to stay s-on other than it is a bit trick to achieve s-off? I think everything becomes easier once I am s-off? So maybe I should just but the bullet (or the paperclip so to speak) and do it.
ASOP looks so interesting - when that is out and stable I most likely will want to try it - does that change what I should do in any way?

When you s off, you have to be on a rom matching your firmware. So ics rom on gingerbread firmware is a no go.
Either flash a gingerbread rom, or update to ics firmware.

So I need to flash an updated firmware, I am sorry to be dense but firmware and rom are not the same? When I google 3.14.605.10 firmware download I get links to the OTA update that would seem to be the official rom.
Once I get that figured out I can Run Juopunut's S-OFF And then install any rom I want. .
I think.

Just flash 4EXT with help of AIO Toolkit, and remember: no S-OFF - no ICS for you.. (your handheld CID is 44 hence T-Mobile ROM won't install )

before flashing a rom do a proper full wipe i think thats the reason well run this script it'll do the full wipe job instead flash it on 4ext before flashing roms

i tried all of the above....nothing helped
Reflash 4ext with Hassoon's kit.. Or another recovery like clockwork
Then boot to the recovery to set it up (4ext needs to set itself up before use)
Soff=smart flash off

[Q] Help Amaze 4g Soft Bricked

Hey guys!
I have an unbranded HTC Amaze 4g. I am using this one in Pakistan. I just HTC Unlocked my mobile, then installed Custom Recovery and then rooted my mobile. Everything was fine till then. Then I tried to S-OFF my device and it was unsuccessful. I tried again and again. But it was unsuccessful. Now I have a bricked HTC Amaze.
Actually it's starting and soon after HTC logo, a mobile device comes which have two arrows (meaning update) above it. Please help me out.
Thank you and appreciated.
