Is it possible to rebuild the xperia J JB source to get it work on.xperia neo
I mean , build a jb rom for neo from xperia J JB source (no cm10 as base just rebuild a rom from source)
I know its difficult
I would pay if someone plan to do something like this

My question is , why dont build the devs in this forum an unofficial sony xperia jellybean rom for the Neo/V ..
Is it possible ? If yes why dont the devs build a rom from the T source ?
If it is hard todo, than i can understand
I would like to do it or better have to say try it with my friend but our knowledge is to low

Well its difficult dude.... i did get that thought and downloaded the sources... But I couldn't understand anything... So don't think much about developing yourself... Let the devs do it... Developing from the source to any device takes lot of time... So have some patience...:laugh:

Xperia P is QHDP so its hard to port it to Sola.
But why in the name there are 2 threads like this??

and i have completed port but kernel have problem...after flash..bootanimation work...but stuck and reboot again...

Obviously cause the ramdisk image is different so its stuck on bootlap...
You need to compare kernels and alter the ramdisk!! Not an easy job...

This is a great news, i think soul is right, and you will need help from someone who knows kernels very well: deep unknown, munjeni, devswift, nickholtus, thebrainskafka ... PM them for help buddy.

one thing that i cant understand , sony wont be releasing JB for U and Sola because they have 512 Ram and 480x854 resolution . while Xperia J have the same Ram and resolution but with a single core low end processor and an old Adreno 200 and they released JB on it. please explain .
Xperia J has Adreno 200 which uses less RAM than Mali-400, hence Xperia J is updated and sola and U are not.
Lol!! Sony's marketing & business strategies didn't let it...
Sony sold many Solas & U and achieved its target of selling those devices now they don't care a sh!t
But they cdnt sell that much of Go & P and had to support its newer sh!tty configuration phones like J & E to keep up , it released JB for em and gave lame excuses for Sola & U!!
Its all business not compatibility & performance issues like Sh!tony says...

Then you should've waited for a dev create a thread when they were ready.
The only difference beetween xgo and xu are touch drivers!
I think that, maybe, we just need to repack xgo ramdisk with xu zimage in order to get it almost booting. Isn't it true?

It´s not the same kernel per se, just Sony used the same version of linux kernel 3.08.
The date that the kernel was compiled is at March which means a new kernel!

The developer would mention your device clearly in his post if your device was supported. As for GB rom, I don't know of any bug free GB rom for the neo l but you can try cm7, check the list of all the roms for it, the list is in the neo android development thread somewhere, search for it.

To answer your question. you can use any xperia play rom as long as its stock based
and neo means the original neo
There 3 phones in neo lineup.
