guys right now am in really awkward situation..
my xrecovery working really fine untill i installed wolfxperia uibidoom rom (full wipe+dalvik cache)with ICs theme (ICS-ThemeV1.1),now m stucked xperia boot screen and cannot entered in xrecovery mode
guys please help in that case
btw is there any alternate method to install xrecovery without flashtool (coz i want to reinstall xrecovery in my x10 may be this will work)
one more question
can we install custom roms like wolfxperia's rom & cyno roms in x10 by using flashtool??
ulbldoom was not for locked bootloaders...you got wrong version my friend
Sent from my X10S using xda premium
Yes it appears ur bootloader is locked that is for unlocked bl so wont work. U can install xrec manually but it much easier to use flashtool. Use seus or flash global generic 2.3.3 then root and install xrec
Sent from my X10 using XDA
Try This
Restore your phone via SEUS, then do a complete Root, Bootloader unlock via Flashtool,
Unlocking bootloader will help you a lot, for many custom ROM's you'll require an unlocked bootloader so do that using the flashtool aswell.
Install xRecovery via flashtool (easiest way there is), you can install it manually but it tends to be a bit of a headache !!
thankss guys

same issue
Ive had the same issue only a few days ago where i was afraid i nearly screwed up my phone. I kept ready the forums here tho, and came to the conclusion that
a I used an "outdated" flashtool, and
b I used the wrong kernel file before i flashed... and
c (yes this was beyond stupid) i forgot to put the zip file onto the sd card... so when i was going to flash i didnt have anything to flash.
after that my baby kept still at the SonyEriccson screen.
I got the latest flashtool, flashed the Generic 2.3.3 and restarted from scratch.
I now have the Darkedition 1.5 installed. It looks really nice, but its just not my rom, so i will keep looking for a new rom. I'd like a smooth and sleak rom. just to keep it fast and furious.
i still love my phone, even after having it for over a year... something that's never happened to me before.
---------- Post added at 08:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:35 PM ----------
I downloaded the feralab 11 rom and will try and figure out how to get that installed properly without have to spend a few more days in a rom trying to fix my phone.
if anyone has any other suggestions for a clean and fast rom, i'm all ears.
Try feralab. Its pretty good

Ok, checking out Feralab v11.2 gaming edition rom. so far installation runs without problems... installed with unlocked bootloader Kernel from DooMKernel v6.
I hope it will run smooth. I'll keep you posted.
---------------
Rom istalled without a hitch. ran the script afterwards, and so far it runs smoother than i have ever seen this phone run!
Market isnt working yet, but that may require a few reboots and otherwise i'll get that fixed in another way.
Since i can post in the FeraVolt's thread, i'll just say THANK YOU over here. freaking nice work dude!
Google Play/Market not working
Did a complete reinstall, even preformatted the SD card, since it was full of crap anyway. did the install the way FeraVolt suggested. everything works fine, just not the market. anyone have a similar problem or sollution?
I tried to download the apk externally, didnt make a difference. I didnt see any other google apps? might the problem lie in a missing google framework? or missing other google apps? I havent had much time to spend reading into the issue, but hopefully tonight i can find out some more. meanwhile... any help is appreciated.

hey guys. I used XPlay a lot of. Now, what should I do to my S3. I want long battery life and good performance ( like all s3 users ^^ )
Which Roms, kernels should I use ? Or Should I use stock ? Aand, How can I unlock my bootloder ? ( What this action in Samsung development, s-off, or something like this ? )
Thanks and Hello to everyone !
unlike sony phone ... u just need to root ur samsung phone
theres nothing like unlocking bootloader thing to do in samsung
for best performance i will say u stay with default stock rom
just root it with cwm by chainfire v1.5
and that should be all

You don't need to flash a kernel, just stick with the default and stock rom.
I used to have a Samsung Captivate and flashed the hell out of that phone just coz out of the box it was pretty crap but this phone is so great on stock that all I've done is root. Haven't even bothered putting CWM on it.
Oh, and hi also!

Oh its good. I think I just need root. And, I want AOSP look. Is there any theme like this ? ( I asked Kernel question because In Sony, custom kernels have better battery life than stock kernels. So this isn't right in this section. ? Right ? )
yeah i guess dark knight kernal is quite gud
so far devs are making kernals better and better , but its quite a bit time more needed
so fot now i can say cwm 5.5.0.4 v 1.5 by chain fire is best for you
and there roms for that or just go for go launcher it has themes for that looks

All of sudden, I encounter a problem with my xperia p xLoud function...
I don't know what happens to my xloud function but the issue is, whenever I recieve a call and after attending, my xloud goes voilent and produce a sound above its frequency, I mean it produce some xtra loud voice which produce some noisy sound and seems somehow awkaward....
nd to normalize it, I have to toggle xloud 2 times to make it restart!!!
bt it again persist when I recieve another call!!!
if any1 having same prob or any1 have sol, plz post.
any help is overwhelmingly acceptable!!!
And the overloud exist in music, touch sounds, ringtone any many, i don't remember them all!!!
Odds are you just have a corrupted file. Try a factory reset and if that doenst work, flash the Stock ftf over it one more time and see if its fixed
Hope it helps
Cheers & Merry Christmas

As in the previous, I don't want to mess with my fone anymore, its been less dan 3 months and love my fone...
My phone's probably seen more FTF flashes in past 2 weeks alone than half the people over here Try 20-30 flashes And dude, try flashing with "Wipe data disabled".. You shouldnt lose any settings with that

Glad to c ur fone ability to be flashed around 20-30 times in just 2 weeks!!!!:fingers-crossed:
I've been flashing customs kernel like doomlord and thp ics, bt all that in the previous fw .544
and i've root it also in dat fw...
Bf after the latest update over xperia p i.e .54 , rooting method for binary doesnt works
So after that, I've make no alteration to my fone and I don't like any other custom kernel over stock!!!
So back to topic, I think I've solved the problem after ur said "Factory Reset" method....
Note: "I THINK" em not sure about it

As respond to ur reply, I haven't try B.1.10..... I just moved directly to .544 to .54 ...
nd wat is this AC!D Audio Engine???
Firstly, it was 20-30 per day Yeah. I did alot of testing and I was too lazy to make a quick restore as opposed to going back to Stock to test again
And rooting with .54 is possible by Bin4ry. What you do is, you flash the B.1.10 kernel over the .54 rom, then root it using Bin4ry, and after that flash back the .54 kernel
Simple and sweet
And I asked about .10 firmware because if it was an issue with .54, we could fix it by using the libs from .10
And finally, AC!D Audio Engine is a collection of Audio Tweaks If your xloud was corrupt, flashing that might replace corrupt xloud and add a few new filters too

Oh Dats gr8, u reply too soon....
So acc to me, I flashed only kernels and nothing more, bcuz wat I feel is stock rom is better than any other custom rom...
yeah I have seen many roms under xperia p rom section and take a look on the screenshots, but again the problem persist, backup and restore tool me a long procedure and I am too lazy as like you...:cyclops:
So plz do me a favour , I will now move towards rooting procedure, jst provide me with pure stock kernel of both .10 and .54....
remember, pure sony branded stock kernel...
and 1 thing I want to ask, if I flashed a kernel, my all data gets erased like settings messeges contacts and downloaded apps, em I ryte???
And the thing bout the acid audio engine, I need a cwm recovery, and its not there in stock kernel, I think so.. em I ryte again!!
$o give me a method thru which I still at the latest stock kernel with root and and cwm inside it...
Will b grateful to press thankx next time also if provided with certain requirements get fulfilled!!!
Unfortunately, I dont think anyone's made a Stock Kernel with just Root and CWM for P. And you'd need unlocked bootloader for it anyway.
Lets go step-by-step..
1) Stock Kernel without data loss
First of all,do you have the stock FTFs of .10 and .54 f/w? If so, then open up Flashtool, select the FTF and untick all the options on top right side (ie,the "WIpe data, etc stuff) and tick all the options on bottom right (ie the exclude baseband stuff.etc) EXCEPT the "Exclude Kernel" option.. Easy way to flash Kernel alone without losing data
If you dont have the Stock FTFs for both, you can get FTF with just the Kernel from here : Stock Kernels for P by naruto20007 And follow same procedure I said in above paragraph to flash Kernel without losing data
2) Rooting :
With .54 Rom flashed, and .10 Kernel, root with Bin4ry method ( I advise using v9 or v12 cause they always work for me.. Ignore errors and follow the prompts.. It gets rooted in the end ) Then flash back to .54 Kernel and you got Root
3) CWM : Checkout CWM by Atis
PS: While you're trying out roms, can you just flash my rom and see if it boots and works without lag ? I been waiting forever for feedback and noone responded yet :/ I want to release it on Christmas if possible hence the rush ;D If you got some extra time, check it out Its in General Section right now. And size is :38MB only
First of all, I don't have those .10 and .54 fw as I always upgrade thru OTA....
Bt last time I was on unlocked bootloader and I don't know that I can't update it anymore over the air...
So I give it to sony centre to update it, as I relock its bootloader and my fone didn't start and I don't know the rest of the process
So fortunately my bootloader get locked and sony service centre repaired and update it...
So wat links u have given are both of CWM by Atis....
plz give me links for both kernel as the fw are too big to download them....
And thess day em out of pc as my motherboard get ruined up, so usually do all stuffs on my frndz comp...
So I try it nd tell uh!!
At last plz post the links...
Thank You.
Yikes.. Sorry about that :

No but if the issue isnt there in .10, Ill bring that version of xloud to .54 so you can use latest firmware without that bug
So u jst bring that, i'll try it on my this fw, bt if this again persist, then i'll get shifted to .10 fw..
Hey mates.
The thing is: In my phone all roms running under kernel naa-14 suffer from random shut downs or from loss of signal once in a while, it doesn't happen many times but when it happens it's not good "example: you don't wanna sleep with your alarm not waking you because your phone is turned off, right?" xD.
So i was wondering: do you guys know another kernel for the most recent gb roms instead of kernel naa-14?, or if there is a rom that doesn't suffer from this shut downs/lost signal on this naa-14 kernel?.
Ps: Don't say something like: reinstall rom, go back to 2.1 and then install rom again, etc... i already did all of that.
Thanks

Yes it is more likely a kernel problem, and that's why i wanted to know if there is another kernel without this problems. I flashed this naa-kernel 14 on my computer and on my portable computer in different times, but the result is always the same because sooner or later the phone will shut down or loose signal out of nowhere. I thought about flashing a rom with stock kernel but the roms available for stock kernel all have some bugs :S.
Ps: do you think there is much difference between this phone and Sony Live With Walkman in terms of audio quality/loudness and camera?, i am tented to buy that phone and all my problems would be solved for good as i need a stable phone when i get a job xD.

it was the first rom ever that i tried, i don't remember now if it was good or not, but is this rom really more stable to use than the most recent gb roms that run on naa-14 kernel?. And does it have all the fixes "battery, camera quality, etc" that were made till now?.
I made a new thread, asking how i can port recent gb roms to work on Stock kernel, maybe it's better this way if possible.

Hi every1, I have an xu and it's been a while since i flashed it to 2.3.7 (Build .184) and now it's working kinda slow... also I wanna go back to ics for many reasons.. I was pretty sure that now i could just update my phone to ics using pcc but both, PCC and US tell me that I already have the latest android version for my device...
So my question is- how can I flash back to ics? which ics build is the best in ur opinion(most importantly smooth!!)? and how can I root my phone with that version? (cuz i know that last time i tried rooting .54 with Binary's root method it didn't work for me)
Can any1 please help me answer these questions? and add good guidelines, I'm a nub when it comes to this
Thanks in advance!!

The only Sony ICS I've used was .54, and to root it the hard way (that is, without BL unlock) you must replace the kernel with the one from .10
I'm also a very satisfied GB user, but trying AOSP 4.1.2 now

2- Yes, you still use the .10 kernel + flashtool root + reinstall stock kernel
1- You inspired me to try a home slimmed .100, but my opinion says it'll be worse than GB .188
should use pre rooted kernel, as the kernel Sliding ICS.
already root and cwm :good:
