Hi guys,
I made a mistake today and flashed a kernel which the download was corrupted. I downloaded sliding_xp 7.4 img file and flashed it. However, the file size of the file I downloaded is less than the original file size. (I know it is a stupid mistake and now I am paying the price for what I did )
Now, when I try to boot the phone or enter fastboot or enter flashmode, the red led just blinks(and the screen remains blank). I tried pressing the power + volume up long enough for two separate vibration and then the three continuous vibrations. Still it didn't switch back on or at least enter fastboot or flashmode so that I can flash the kernel again.
What should I do? Please help me.
When your phone is off, hold and press up, and then connect to pc while holding up, when blue led turns on,it means ur in fastboot
Sent from my LT22i using Tapatalk 2
Or hold down to enter flashmode and flash stock rom.
I tried both (holding volume button up while connecting to usb cable and holding volume down button while connecting usb cable). I am not able to enter into flashmode or fastboot. Only red led blinks
Flashtool log
Finally, the green led has started coming. But I get the following error in flashtool

What is the FTF that you flashed? And could you please give a more clear description of your problem and what you did to cause it? This will assist us in giving you the correct info.

Try to update it again.. Is your PC Companion detecting the phone?
like, does it say,a new firmware has been released?
This probably happened because the process got aborted.. No need to worry..

Yes i've tried like several times already, on pc companion and SEUS but I always encountered an error during the repair process, it says try again with full batt (actually its battery full when I start repairing the phone), I dont know whats wrong, the good thing is pc companion is able to detect my phone (sony ericsson phone connected), generally but not specifically (sony ericsson st18i).
Any idea about my dead phone?? Pls HELP!thank you!
My phone doesnt charge anymore so i had to charge my batt on a separate charger,
Have you even tried flashtool? Download the .62 firmware and flash it that way

hye there ithink that you ray got bricked here the solution
This will fix your unlocked Phones which got bricked through OTA update and are dead now!
Please download this package:
Code:
h.t.t.p:/./w.w.w.multiupload.com/Q103V01CV1
mirror: h..t.tp:/./filetram.c.o.m/multiupload/flashtool-0-9-1-fotaunbrick-exe-8817236590
[please remove the dot]
Let it extract to a destination of your choice.
After that run Flashtool.exe.
Now hit the button FLASH and select the package which is included.
Follow the steps and connect your phone in flashmode. This is the same mode Pc Companion and SEUS uses to flash your phone to newer firmare (Indicated by green LED), if you got BLUE LED you are in the wrong mode!
Flashtool will now detect your phone and start the repair.
After all is done your phone should be up and running again.
hope it works... pls update it if working.. thanksss
Try Wotan their flash tool might be able to fix your phone
tnx everyone!you were such a big help!

Hello, guys !
My old Sony Ericsson x10 stopped working 4 months ago and back then I tried everything I could think of to fix it myself, without luck though. Today I decided to give it another last try. I think the phone just shat down by itself back then, but sadly I don't remember much of the details. I was using Advanced Xperia X10i ROM and it was working fine, I didn't get any errors during the flashing or while I was running it. And yes, the phone was rooted / with unlocked bootloader.
When I press the power button the phone vibrates for half a sec or less and that's it, the screen doesn't light up or anything. When I connect the phone to a charger or PC the green light comes on, I haven't seen it turn red so far.
This is the s1tool log I get when I 'identify' the phone.

So I cannot flash any firmware or enter recovery mode because the phone doesn't turn on.
It seems the problem comes from that 'sin header' , whatever that is. I noticed that flashtool has a Sin Editor in the Tools, but I have no idea what to do with that.
I've seen 30+ posts with the same "SIN header verification failed" problem but I didn't find a solution in them, that's why I'm asking.
Bump. By the way, SEUS says I'm running the latest version so it doesn't help either.

Hi.
Today I wanted to install this rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/u-development/rom-infinityrom-xperia-v3-released-t1946478
I had installed many roms in my device, so I know how the process is, also I followed the instructions of the thread, but something that I find strange is that in the Zip that I downloaded there's no a .img file, so I guessed that it was not necessary using the Flashtool for installing this rom.
I entered in recovery mode and made the wipes, installed the zip, and rebooted the device, but when my phone turned on it showed the Sony logo of my previous rom, and just that, it just freezes in that logo and nothing happens :crying:.
I'm so worried, please, can you help me?
It's for locked bootloader, so the correct kernel for an unlocked phone is one for stock {ICS|JB} depending on what that ROM is based on

Just unbrick it with flashtool and the stock file ! (because if you didn't touch the kernel , there's should be nothing to worry about. )

Tick "no final verification" checkbox and flash. If still cant, try to download other .ftf preferably WORLD_GENERIC version.

Try these steps to get into flashmode so you can flash a FTF with flashtool:
Have flashtool setup and running with a c6833 FTF loaded and waiting for device
Connect ZU to PC
Hold the volume down key
While doing the above press the red reset button under in the SIM card flap
That should kick it into flash mode
