Hi guys, i have by far only used TouchWiz rom. For days, i tried the aokp mr1 build 6.It was super awesome and smooth but just that sometimes, there would be a message stating that the camera was not connected. and when i flashed custom kernels(Siyah) it crashed and i had to reinstall the rom. I was wondering if there are any other roms out there that are like aokp that do not have this problem. Thanks for taking your time to see this thread, and i wish you guys have a pleasant day! I hope to get some answers soon!^^
As you might have read, all aosp aokp roms have this camera issue.

The rom sure, but the camera might have some glitches, e.g. slimbean has the same camera not connecting when you use the Canberra wrong, if I remember well: from camera scroll to album, close to homescreen and next time camera will not connect. I read that this is a aosp aokp problem, whereas please correct me if it was fixed

I think the question marks were more about the post....and same goes for me, so the whole point of the thread was to tell us to try that rom?

If someone likes cm. It is a nice rom. So yes try it. But there are many who like sense very much. But this is so fast compared to sense. I use TL kernel with it under clocked to 918. Still very fast.I also use trickster mod for kernel settings. It was simply a suggestion.

Yes thank you for this post. I don't see why recommending a rom in something like "general" chat would be questioned. But anyways, because of this post I'm now on this ROM and it's incredibly fast and stable.
I tried it but didn't like the gapps that came with it.

Whats about flash? Works or FC?
Havent needed to use it yet. Photosphere works well, just tested flash - FC gallery. I am still running original camera and gallery as well. This didnt replace stock cam or gallery. Stock camera flash still works no FC.

Yes, For now none will wrk on AOKP JB v4.2.2 or roms based on it
Bottom line is, if you really need it, run stock. If you want an alternative (to work on AOSP), code it yourself. Just about every dev who's ever been asked about this has gone 'Who cares ?' (Codeworkx did this quite memorably once & threw a bunch of expletives in for good measure).

The camera appears to work on the Slimbean ROM.
Well I'm asking the same thing about the INT version of my Player 5.0.
It's quite annoying to not being able to use the camera...
The camera somewhat works but the quality is grainy and terrible, think of those early camera phone quality. And sometimes the pictures will disappear after taking them. I'm using the PAC rom, 4.2.2 version. Picture related.

Did you do a clean flash? Have you tried doing a factory reset? Have you ruled out the possibility of other users of your ROM who have had this similar issue? If yes, report this bug in the SlimBean thread.
Yes, clean flash.
Yes, wipe/factory reset

Then I suggest you wait until you have the required number of posts to report in the Slimbean thread.
Hi, I'm having the same problem on both slimbean and sentinel roms. This happens especially often when I rotate youtube videos to make them fullscreen. I think the issue is within either the cyanogenmod source, or simply android 4.3 on the galaxy s2 originally. I really hope this gets fixed soon though.
