Did you do a clean flash? Have you tried doing a factory reset? Have you ruled out the possibility of other users of your ROM who have had this similar issue? If yes, report this bug in the SlimBean thread.
Yes, clean flash.
Yes, wipe/factory reset
Wanted to report there, but not enough posts.
Thx.

Then I suggest you wait until you have the required number of posts to report in the Slimbean thread.
Hi, I'm having the same problem on both slimbean and sentinel roms. This happens especially often when I rotate youtube videos to make them fullscreen. I think the issue is within either the cyanogenmod source, or simply android 4.3 on the galaxy s2 originally. I really hope this gets fixed soon though.

Try rebooting the phone at first, if that did not help do a data factory reset. After that if not solved you might reflash a stock rom. Still no remedy, take it to the shop/repair center.

Am I missing something here? At what point did they even mention rooting the phone? And rooting is still the best way of disabling bandwidth hungry ads in apps.

What type of flickering? This may sound stupid, but it is a legit question. Try making a photo of it.
If it is going downwards in bar-like formation, it's the display.
If it is blinking, it is Android, or a loose connection...
Hi guys, i have by far only used TouchWiz rom. For days, i tried the aokp mr1 build 6.It was super awesome and smooth but just that sometimes, there would be a message stating that the camera was not connected. and when i flashed custom kernels(Siyah) it crashed and i had to reinstall the rom. I was wondering if there are any other roms out there that are like aokp that do not have this problem. Thanks for taking your time to see this thread, and i wish you guys have a pleasant day! I hope to get some answers soon!^^
As you might have read, all aosp aokp roms have this camera issue.

The rom sure, but the camera might have some glitches, e.g. slimbean has the same camera not connecting when you use the Canberra wrong, if I remember well: from camera scroll to album, close to homescreen and next time camera will not connect. I read that this is a aosp aokp problem, whereas please correct me if it was fixed

hi all
I have had my S3 for just under a year and recently have been growing really frustrated of its performance. It feels slow at time (which is understandable) and it freezes and completely crashes on me randomly through out the day.
I have been running the _null rom for a very long time and find this an amazing experience. I have just today moved over to chaos final v2 rom and that seems just as smooth. I am still however having these crashes!
Any body know what it could be? I must admit my memory is virtually full externally and I have about a cool 3GB internally. This should not make a difference to the system crashes though!
All ideas and responses would be much appreciated.
Thank you
Please read "unusual freeze" thread in general.
This should be in q&a though.

I've factory reset my phone already and although it's smoother it shouldn't crash and require a restart! I initially upgraded to this phone so I didn't get these issues but it's getting ridiculous to be honest!

Its not relevant. If you're unfamiliar with the s3 specifically, fyi "generic advice" is not applicable here. Faults and quirks of the s3 are unique to this device so really only owners or developers of the s3 will be able to help through experience.

Great, so you'll be fully versed in the update 7 kernel source code for the S3 that introduced the MOVINAND fix to address the faulty wear levelling code in the 0xf1 VTU00M eMMC memory? And that the issues the OP has mentioned are conducive with the side effects that this fix has on the device?
