Cyanogenmod 10.1
Built with GCC 4.7.3 and Linaro 13.05 toolchain (thanks to IAmTheOneTheyCallNeo)
Funky Kernel 3.3.4 (AOSP) by Snuzzo (donate)
Hue (Red) CM Theme by kroz (donate)
** In the post attachments, there is a flashable zip by kroz to make your lockscreen shortcuts / UI red in color to match the system theme. Please fix permissions in recovery after flashing the lock screen color mod. **
If you use Apollo for your music player, go into the settings and under theme chooser, there's a red theme for Apollo.
No longer included in the ROM but seen in the screenshots and highly recommended is the RED POWER Apex theme by Samer Zayer
Instructions:
Boot to Custom Recovery
Factory Reset * 2
Wipe Dalvik-Cache * 2
Wipe Boot
Wipe System
Flash Gotham-1.2 Complete.zip
S-On Only:
In custom recovery, go to Developer Options and reboot to bootloader
On your PC, do the command: fastboot flash boot boot.img (where boot.img is the file you got after expanding ROM zip on your PC)
After flashing and rebooting, wait a couple minutes for the ROM to boot up to the welcome wizard.
When it asks you if you would like to Restore or Backup your device with Google, uncheck both boxes and click Next.
The wizard will appear to hang after you get to the end, just press Home to get to the launcher.
You will want to turn on Developer Options and USB debugging. If you don't know how to unlock those, go into System Settings -> About Phone -> and down where it says Build Number, click on the text seven times. The Developer Options menu will be unlocked in System Settings. In Developer Options, check the box for Android debugging. There is also a setting for Root Access: make it so the choice says to give root access to both Apps and ADB.
To get this ROM looking proper with a nice red-and-black theme system-wide:
Go into System Settings -> Themes and choose the Hue Red theme.
Then go to Apex Settings > Themes > and click on the RED POWER theme. Check the boxes marked Icon Pack, Skin and Wallpaper. It comes with a custom font, but personally I like to keep the default theme's font.
The RED POWER icons are a little small IMO. If you want, go into Apex settings and increase the icon size in the menus under Dock, Drawer and Home Screen to 110 or 120 percent.
For the best user experience, I recommend you use the bundled NotifierPro app. Just try it, I think you will like what it does. To get it working, launch it once and go through its brief tutorial. Then back out of the app, go into System Settings -> Accessibility and turn on the service for NotifierPro with the switch. For some reason, trying to turn on the service from within the app does not work, so you have to do it from System Settings. Then, go back into the app and you can select which apps you would like for Notifier Pro to monitor. I recommend Messaging, Gmail/Email, Missed Calls, Google Talk, Play Store, Titanium Backup--basically any app that you would like to get a nice banner-style notification from.
This rom is also bundled with some cool widgets.
On your home screen, try adding the UUCW widget -> 4 * 2 -> then choose Minimal Clock. The default is a elegant white digital clock, but you can click on it and change the colors to red or whatever you want. (UUCW will say changing the color is unsupported for Minimal Clock, but after you go back to the home screen it will change colors.)
Two widgets I like to put on my farthest left home screen are: Power Toggles (you can customize the colors to be red and black or whatever you want) and Wifi Manager. In Wifi Manager settings, you can choose to run the app's "dark" theme and if you like the app and buy it, you can even get a dark theme for the widget.
Known issues:
Video chat doesn't work in inverted Google Talk. This is an issue with the Jellybean code for our device and is not specific to this rom. Looking for a working apk. (Fixed in Gotham 1.1, thanks flyhalf205)
Some text is gray and a little hard-to-read in Google Talk, Tapatalk and possibly other apps. This is a design choice made by the developer of the Hue CM theme, as he has to support scenarios with both inverted and non-inverted apps. I will work on getting permission to modify the theme slightly.
Notes:
By default, the kernel that ships with this ROM is set to use lulzactive as the cpu governor and row as the I/O scheduler. Use Trickster Mod or another app to change it if you want. The SD Card read-ahead is set at 512 kb. The default CPU speed is 1620 mhz.
The CM code included in this ROM supports pressing the volume buttons to wake the device. To turn it on, go to system settings -≥ display and check the box.

Well, sort of. When you first install, its the stock CM theme. But the stuff you need to make it look like the screen is in the ROM. Instructions are in the OP, but basically, you go to system settings, themes to set Hue Red as the system theme. Then you go to apex launcher settings, themes, and use the RED POWER icon pack, skin and wallpaper.
The clock is Minimal Clock. You have to place a UUCW widget, 4*2 in size, and choose minimal clock, either analog or digital, as the "skin."
And there's a red theme for Apollo you can set.
I promise I will work on making the next release where all of that is in place when you first start up the ROM.

Funky kernel 3.0 HD playback doesn't work at all in YouTube app. Snuzzo is aware of this.

Congrats on your first ROM Brenuga! Excited to flash this tonight! As for building it the red theme into future releases, you will still be able to revert to normal theme right? Just toggle it in settings/ themes ritht?
Also, GAPP are baked in right? the dl in the op is just the inverted versions correct?
Thanks for this, and thanks for your hard work!

K, thanks. I tested youtube and noticed about the same tearing as in other JB 4.2 roms, but I will look into it. I thought he had just added vinylfreak's video fix, which worked well with hiro kernel. Do me a favor and try turning on zram in trickster mod, and see if that improves things.
A while back, when I was running ermagherd kernel on TRON, and turned on zram, it improved youtube for me. Dunno the technical reasons.

Warez???? XDA Tapatalk was downloaded from the Market for free!
The term "warez" means using a paid app for free, in case you didn't know! No warez here.
But, I'll make a new ROM now to be safe if the developer doesn't want people using his app here on XDA. Doesn't make sense to me, but I'll do it.

The term "warez" means using a paid app for free, in case you didn't know! No warez here.
But, I'll make a new ROM now to be safe if the developer doesn't want people using his app here on XDA. Doesn't make sense to me, but I'll do it.

Just an automated response lol. If its not warez then it should be okay. I've been out of android for quite some time. So Pardon if my app talk is archaic lol.
Does make sense as so the App creator can track how many users are using his app
Yeah but that's not a solid reason to really exclude it from anything. I say leave it how it is lol. For ROMs I can understand, but something like an app where DL's can be duplicated in one day and such, not much big of a deal.
Actually wouldn't it be if the author stated he doesn't want it in any Rom's? Shouldn't that be enough even though its free?
I use 950.can somebody else confirm this restarting thing on this rom.
PS you can move taptalk we can install this from market.

It might be that for some reason, the Wildmonk kernel is not liking your Nexus One. Guess it can happen. Try downloading my regular cyan theme that will put Enom's Kernel back on your ROM and see what happens.

Hey everyone, welcome to Supra ROM!
This ROM is a split between Sense and AOSP, carrying over some of my favorite aesthetic features of vanilla Gingerbread while maintaining a Sense base for a unique experience unlike any ROM available for the EVO 3D.
**If you like it just post a reply telling me what you'd like to see improved, changed, added, removed, or any bugs that come up.**
Zedomax posted a quick review of this ROM on YouTube, check it out if you wanna see what it's like! Thanks zedomax!

- Brand new Market v3.0.27

- Changed WiFi scan interval to 90 for better battery
- Bloatware REMOVED

Known issues:
- Hot restart option in extended reboot menu does not work, requires battery pull.
- Personalize menu and System Updates menu in Settings both FC because there isn't the required Sense framework it needs.
- Notification noise/ringtone cannot be set from the Settings menu either.
Confirmed working with both ClockWork and TeamWin's recovery images!
These kernels have been confirmed to work with this ROM, all others are unknown until updated here.
- Silverneedle
- RCMIX
- Stock HTC
- NOLIGHTS
If you mess up your phone I'm not responsible for it and by flashing this you assume all risks associated with doing so yada yada, you all know this.
Thank you to JoelZ9614 and the whole Cyanogen team for making great ROMs to base this off of, to tehbeetus for being the best partner to dev this ROM with, to everyone mirroring my files, and fowenati for helping answer questions and moderate this thread.

Q&A Section:
Q: What do I need to be running first to flash eclipse?
A: You will have to be on a rooted version of gingerbread before hand
Q: How do I install Eclipse?
1. sbf to 234
2. Root using MotorolaOneclick
3. Install Voodoo OTA rootkeeper and protect root but temp unroot
4. Apply 235 update in stock recovery
5. Restore root in Voodoo rootkeeper and delete backup (make sure root is restored before deleting!)
6. Install bootstrap
7. Reboot into bootstrap recovery
8. Wipe data
9. Flash eclipse
10. Profit from its beauty
Q: I am geting force closes and other weird stuff
A: It is highly recommended to wipe data each time you flash eclipse. If the problem persists I would re-download the rom, wipe data and flash again.
Q. My wifi isn't working
A. You MUST be on the latest OTA 2.3.5, 418 build first...

For you GO Launcher users out there I have a matching theme you can download from the market. When using the theme make sure you open launcher Preferences -> Visual Settings -> Icons -> Theme Icon and change it to default style to remove the weird background on the images.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.gau.go.launcherex.theme.EclipseBlue
Notes:
You must be on the latest 2.3.5 build prior to flashing this due to no kernel being included!!!!! You can flash v2.3 on top of v2.2.1. If you have issues just wipe data.
Dock will force close on first use. Select "Clock" on first dock and it will default to it and no longer force close. Need to set this as default.
Wiping Data is recommended
You do not need to install previous versions first. Just flash the latest version. If you flash a theme not designed for 2.3 nyan cats will die.

cool, installing now
Installed and working fine as of now. Thanks for the post.
Thank you! I'll be trying this out very soon.
Hell to the yes. I'm actually right in the middle of installing the pre-root gingerbread from P3. I was trying to hold out until a debloated ROM was released, but I couldn't wait any longer. It figures as soon as I start the process, a debloated ROM would be released. I'm downloading now and will give it a shot as soon as P3's installs.
Nitro! you rock man!
It won't work for me.
E: Can't open /sdcard/Debloated_x2_v0.1.zip
(bad)
Installation aborted.
Very nice. Can't wait to try this out later tonight. Currently running the affinity rom on 2.2 because I was waiting for a debloated rom like this.
So is the general consensus that the V6 supercharger or other scripts are not needed for GB? Thanks.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but doesn't the ROM need to use the Edify scripting system (with an updater-script and update-binary) rather than the Amend scripting system that you are currently using with your update-script file?
Not with this version of clockwork. This version uses both amend and edify. Back on the fascinate this version of cwm had issues with edify as well. 3.0.x.x is the first version to support only edify. GB is supposed to use edify but I think we need to update the version of clockwork that comes with the bootstrap.

EDIT: Install was successful! VERY NICE NITRO. It's very snappy and I'm hovering right around 150MB of free RAM.
So this is a de-bloated rom? Improvement in Quadrant/Antutu scored or general snappiness?

It is just a debloated version. Nothing too special for the time being. It is really hard to improve benchmarks dramatically without overclocking or AOSP. If you want a little snappier feeling I would install a different launcher and remove the blur launcher.
Ok just wanted to get an understanding of what it was, downloading now.

Use a tool such as root explorer and delete the blurhome.apk from system/app. It will probably force close hella after it is removed until a reboot.

WiFi Issues
Disregard. My buddy at work just came over and said he was having problems getting on the network too. Sorry.
Hey, nice work on the ROM, Nitro. I'm only having on issue so far, I can't connect to wifi. I get a constant "trying to obtain IP address" message. I had P3's rooted GB installed before I flashed your ROM, and this wasn't issue a previously. Any suggestions?

APP per dpi explained
With the new mod you need to change the dpi you wanna use in the build prop but you also need to match it for the keyboards and others inside hyb.prop otherwise it will not work well, just look at the zip attached in the OP and you will see how I did it .
To add more apps to have there own customized dpi :
take the facebook application.. its name inside of data/app folder would be facebook.katana-1.apk
so in order to have it run its own custom dpi you would type
pa.com.facebook.katana.dd=260
260 = the dpi you want it to use .
No reboot needed just force close the application and voila (via applications menu)
Play with it and try to make it work and post your pad.prop and results .[/B]
additional info thx to rsalib :
Here are some instructions with the new pad.prop:
I have found it easier to run tablet UI and push apps to higher than 213 to make them look like normal phone apps and keep whatever works tablet mode untouched. You also have the option to use Phone UI and force apps the apps that have a tablet UI into DPI 213 and under.
The build.prop and pad.prop work as a team.
The line in build.prop:
# for 480x800 panel
ro.sf.lcd_density=
decides if your phone is going to be base tablet or base phone.
-if you put 213 or lower it will be base tablet with the fancy buttons at the bottom of the screen and the pop notification from the lower right.
-if you put 214 or higher it will be base phone with the normal phone look
if you want tablet UI with forcing phone into apps that do not have a tablet UI or look weird in tablethow i do it)
build.prop line should be 213
pad.prop:
pa.system_default_dpi=213
pa.user_default_dpi=(whatever you want, just remember the bigger you go, the harder it is to see text on tablet UI apps)
If you want Phone UI with forcing apps with tablet UI into tablet mode
build.prop line should be 214 or higher
pad.prop:
pa.system_default_dpi=213(this make the status bar and fonts really small)
pa.user_default_dpi=(again, whatever you want, but the bigger you go the harder it is to see text in tablet UI apps)
AND AND AND AND AND
you have to put the apps that have tablet UI into /system/app folder

Running like a champ here. No rotation issues with nova (didnt try with stock launcher). LOVE the nav bar tweaks. Any chance on getting height adjustment on them?
Btw, will we be able to flash updates without wiping? Hope so.
Thanks to the devs!

Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Up and running great so far (1 hour. haha). Feels just as great as it did on my GNex. Auto-rotate on stock launcher isn't working for me... although now that I read back I'm not sure it's supposed to (yet?). No matter, not a big requirement for me while on my home screen.
Thanks guys this is just what I was hoping for.
Same here ...well if I can get ROM to download

Yup. I wiped data then flashed ROM, patch, GAPPS all before booting once. No issues here.
