I had a custom rom on my phone and i wanted to flash a new one so i did a system wipe from TWRP and now i have nothing on my phone besides TWRP.
I can still get into recovery mode and into the bootloader, so i was wondering if there was any way to flash a rom to my phone without downloading the zip to my phone?
I thought there was a way to completely flash it through fastboot but i cannot figure it out.
is my phone bricked or is there any way to put a rom on it?
ANY support would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Garrett
Download the DNA toolkit and a Rom and you can sideload it from there

Just use adb push or adb sideload. I assume you know how to use adb.

If you don't know how to use adb very well like me you could try relocking the device and running the ruu. It worked for me after I formatted data on accident. The ruu is located in the development section.

Okay, so I bought a Note 2 that was rooted and unlocked. It's running CleanRom 4.8 with TWRP recovery. Its baseband is I605VRALL4. I have downloaded everything I think I need to return it back to stock. I have Odin3 v3.07, Kies, and I have the pit file downloaded. I downloaded the alternate restore for VRALJRB like droidstyle said to. My problem is this. Odin does not see this file at all. It will see the pit file, but when I open PDA, it can't find the alternate restore file. I downloaded the original file, and Odin sees it just fine. Here's my question. If I try to flash the original file instead of the alternate restore file, will it brick my device or will it flash it just fine but lock the bootloader? I don't mind having a locked bootloader.

Ok thanks. That's where I was getting hung up on. The only difference between the 2 files, is one has a locked bootloader and the other one doesn't correct?

Hi Guys,
My phone has become almost unusable.
It is currently on version 2.3.6, UCKK6 stock un rooted.
From few weeks I am trying to root it, reset it but nothing is working.
Already browsed through countless threads but to no use.
Below are the things I tried
1) Factory Reset through settings menu
2) Factory reset through stock recovery
3) Factory reset through *# code
4) Update firmware through ODIN
5) Update recovery through ODIN
6) Revert to UCKH7 through ODIN
7) Revert to UCKH7, tried re-partition option as last straw through ODIN
Once the phone switches off all the old data/baseband/firmware/files (before April 30th 2012) is restored and new data (after April 30th 2012) gets delete no matter what.
One thing I noticed while trying to factory reset was below message
Can't access to '/system/csc/ATT/system/'
Need your help as you can see I tried most of the available options

Tried it. Installed the 1.42 and rooted. Once the phone reboots there is no trace of the apk or the root and it is back to the old version.
Somehow after the reboot whatever may be the change they are not sticking and it is always going back to the old version.

How do I apply the system update to the stock rom? Right now I have TWRP installed and when I try to do the update it brings me to TWRP and stops. I am guessing the stock rom is looking for the stock recovery. Can I revert to the stock recovery temporarily or manually flash the update using TWRP? If so where is the stock update downloaded?

You need to flash the stock recovery before the update will work. After update you can flash back to twrp but I would recommended trying our 4ext if you have not already.

However, don't think you will be able to update.
I'm pretty sure its been discussed before, and the ROM needs to be unaltered...which is very unlikely in your situation.
Unfortunately your best option, i believe, is to obtain soff.

Hi everyone. Got this phone just a few days ago and updated it to 4.4 the next day. Sadly I didn't do any research before doing so and realized I can't transfer files to the memory card with 4.4. Is there a way to flash the older 4.3JB the easy way? Like the Samsung Odin way? The last time I had an HTC was with the One X and I did not do any tinkering with it. So please forgive my noobness. Or is there another way to have the old access to mem card without having to root? Thanks guys.

I have the vzw HTC one max it was rooted soff with NUsense six 4.4.2 rom installed. Well I left my phone laying on the table and went to the store and when I got back my son had it playing around with it. As soon as I walked through the front door he had this look on his face like OH SH$!. My little boy managed to wipe everything everything on my sd card is gone all of my backups everything. So now I'm stuck on the TWRP recovery screen I'm afraid to turn it off. I can still get to bootloader/hboot stuff. There's no OS installed on my phone. Man I don't know what I'm gonna do. You can use adb to push a Rom to your phone in twrp I believe.
in Command Prompt,
type "adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/ROM.zip" replacing ROM with the EXACT name of the ROM file and including the .zip piece on both ends.

Ok. So in twrp go to advanced and choose adb sideload. Swipe to enter sideload mode.
Put the Rom you would like to be running in your fastboot/adb directory. Open cmd prompt to that directory and issue the following command ..
Adb sideload nameofrom.zip
Of course using the actual name of your Rom zip instead of nameofrom.zip.
