Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you have a locked BL and you're rooted, if you install a Locked BL CWM, is other not the option in Advanced- Create firmware zip? Can someone do that for him?

In this case Im out of the game :crying:
Im so sorry but I cant help

I also faced that problem a while ago, as a stock update.zip would be very useful. Flashing a file via cwm is much more faster than booting up flashtool and flash a ftf file. I was able to extract the firmware files from a ftf file with flashtool but I just didn't know how to pack them into an update.zip. My main problem is that I didn't know how to set the permissions correctly.
EDIT: Ah. I think I found something out. This website sounds good. I think that is what you are looking for. http://www.xda-developers.com/android/easily-extract-ics-system-files-from-sony-xperia-ftf-files/
EDIT2: To build an update.zip package this could work. http://www.xda-developers.com/android/extract-ftf-files-and-turn-them-into-flashable-zips/
EDIT3: And with this tool you can unpack the ext4 files of a xu ics ftf file. http://sourceforge.net/projects/androidicsjbext/files/20130408/ext4_unpacker_exe.zip/download
EDIT4: I sum up the extraction process:
0. Get a ftf file(e.g. this generic ics ftf http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2075526)
1. Get flashtool, 7zip and the ext4_unpacker(see above)
2. Open firmware ftf file with 7zip and extract system.sin
3. Flashtool->Tools->Sin Editor-> Select system.sin file. -> Dump data
4. Open extracted system.ext4 file with the ext4_unpacker and extract system files to a folder called system/.
Now anyone has to figure out how to create an update.zip file. I think that's the harder part.

Mini Original/Stock Kernel

Does anyone have the original kernel?
I could be blind but in all the kernel and roms pages I haven't yet seen a posting of the original...so how would you flash back? Just SEUS?
If you do a serious mod you should always have the original ready....
search ST15i_4.0.2.A.0.62_(1251-0020).ftf for flash tool, that is the stock kernell
Are you sure? I thought that was the entire rom?
I upgraded to .62 then couldn't root so flashed .42 ftf and that was the entire rom.
Thanks
Just download semc .ftf, open it as .zip and search kernel.sin. Flash it via fastboot and you're fine!
this didn't work. I tried flashing just kernel and it flashed the whole rom anyway.

Did you extract only kernel.sin to the folder and flashed the whole rom?Maybe you have the whole rom on flash folder and somehow you flash it...?
What I have is a .42 ftf. So using the flash tool I selected only kernel.
Do you mean to open and extract the ftf? How do you do that? Windows has no idea how to open it.
Thanks
QeneX just told youRename it to blablabla.zip and then extract to some folder or right click open with whatever program you use (winrar 7zip etc) and extract files somewhere.Find kernel.sin and flash only that not the whole rom

W8 Stock Rom E16i 2.1.1.A.0.53

W8 Stock ROM 2.1.1.A.0.53
Download link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/61155616/E16i_2.1.1.A.0.53_Sony Stock 2.1-update1.ftf (218 MB)
This is the original untouched stock firmware (E16i) directly extracted from binary blob from PCC using flash tool (not a nandroid backup).Maybe useful for flashing to original stock or as a base for new ROMs.
Hope this helps.

When updating using PCC.The firmware will be stored in db folder of PCC .(C:\ProgramData\Sony Ericsson\Update Engine\db\).
Update /Repair your phone using PCC. Then search for blob_fs folder in db folder. There you can find 3 files with name starting FILE_. Then start Flash tool.In
Advanced menu select "Decrypt Files'. Point blob_fs as source folder and select the "FILE_" files. After decrypting select "create bundle" from Advanced menu. After completion you can find ftf file in firmwares folder.hope this helps

maybe the W8 Version is not fully compactible with X8 and i can't download apps with W8 Rom getting random reboots and i can't flash back because PCC says Update-Server not available atm
Edit: Reparing Phone works again after i flashed 2.1 ftf and rebootet PC (i think rebooting PC worked for me)
Thats sucks, then I will try it later if it won't be dangerous.
Anyway, you can't flash with PCC. Have you tried with seus?

no but i do atm seems it works with SEUS and PPC works again too as i installed Stock Rom ftf and rebootet PC
i found it out and it was before 2.1.1.C.0.0 (i have found download link but im not sure what the newest version is)
found out that 2.1.1.C.0.0 should be newer than the 2.1.1.A.0.6 (should)

You have to flash the entire ftf file of .587 just as you would flash the .431 ftf. No changes at all. Also, kernel does not contain the system folder(ROM) but contains only the ramdisk and zImage binary. The system.sin file in your ftf package actually contains the "system" folder. Anyway, it is just safer to flash the entire package. Good luck!

Just place your ftf in firmwares folder, start flashtool and select the ftf from the list and click the flash button! Don't uncheck any options there and press flash. Then connect your phone in download mode and done! Don't worry about the kernel and all that stuff. Flashing a stock ftf should take care of all the problems in your phone.

[Q] Extract Xperia Go JB FTF

I downloaded the Xperia Go Jelly Bean FTF but am unable to extract the system.sin and retrieve the system files. I followed this method but it did not work, is there another compression value I could use or another method?
Also I've tried that method on GB and ICS FTF's and it worked it is just this JB FTF which it does not work on.
Just open ftf file with winrar, extract sin files and then extract sin files using sin editor.
