Hi, My camera is not working I tried SAD ICS Rom which deleted my stock rom and infact it wasn't installed rather it gave an error of 'assert failed'. I tried certain roms a few just started working, in a GB rom both the wifi and camera were not working then I tried Yoda's ICS this time luckily my wifi just started working but both the front and rear camera are not working when i tap this app it screen just splashes and it returns to homescreen i tried Amaze Camera app found on a forum on XDA, it got installed but whenever i tap this app it just force closes... pl help me get out of this condition I m 70/100 without my camera so pl...
P.S: in certain forums i found that the camera starts working when phone is opened by its screws and the camera is pressed a bit, i tried that too but in vein so...

Nevertheless: did your perform a full wipe before trying others ROMs? Camera has to work... Try to reflash stock rom

Yeah i wiped every thing except sd card before installing the kernel and flashing rom.

seen a guy over at the development threads ask about this, but I didn't see a response. I am having the same issue, when I try to "log in" to sync my facebookgives to the widget , I get a "invalid-key"error ... the first time I flashed rocko's rom worked fine, then I tried cm9 alpha ics rom, ended up reflashing back to rocko's, then the problem started.. any suggestions/fix ? Thanks in advanced..
I am not sure what is causing the issue, but it is possible that ICS modified something in a file the ROCKO's rom didn't touch so it could be causing the problem.
Once suggestion i have is to revert back to the stock rom and then flash rocko's rom again. I would think that should do the trick.

So launcher pro is causing this issue?

Am not entirely sure if launcher pro is the cause, like I said when I flashed rocko's rom from stock, the widget worked. After going to ics and back to rocko's I encountered the problem. Ill try to go bak to stock, then reflash rocko's and ill See if it works.

One more ?....wouldn't the wipe and system format prior to flashing roms erase any settings and files from the previous rom?

I am glad my suggestion help you out a bit.
As for your gallery issues, I would take a look in the forums to see if anyone else is having the same problem with the gallery using Rocko's rom. It is possible it is a bug in the rom and not something with your device alone.
Sorry for delay in responding, lol I noticed I had 2 gallery icons.. one stock true other was also gallery but different from stock. That one seemed to work fine.

Hi my stock camera photo light isn't working on se camera,it works on vignette and other light/torch apps,was wondering if theres a script in root explorer to make it work again? Iv also tried reflashing back to stock gb didnt work,anyone else experienced this and know how to fix?

Good.I hardly use the camera cos the light should work automatically,like the flash in a normal camera.
Ive tried about 7 custom roms and kernels in the last 2 weeks and they all have problems.Ive come to the conclusion that dkv06-1113 with optimized stock rom speeds up system and more importantly-stuff continues working.
App removal
Startup optimizing
Memory optimizing
The only thing I miss would be a slight increase in speaker volume(not full- on xloud which thrashes your speaker).

I see you were getting involved in theme changing stuff-that could have some impact on your camera/system.Im tempted to muck about with that,but I'll wait.
The galaxy rom was my favourite,but I see alzbac has abandoned that and I think hes doing a donut one.
And I think the best utility is the restore option in xrecovery......its well used

Im not sure.I unlocked my bootloader with FT,but in the DK thread he says that way is a "bypass" opposed to the "proper method"(the one with running a zip file beginning with q).It did once relock,but I cant remember if I reflashed or restored for it to happen.

Am when i go to take a picture the flas doent work on flash off which is normal it works on perflash on setting but i put it to auto flash an it dont work at all even in a dark room at night nothing restarted my phone battery pull an everything theres nothing anyone help?

Try another rom. If that works, try wiping and reflashing your current rom. If it still doesn't work, it's a rom problem.

So i flashed mean bean today. When i try to use netflix, the screen freezes, but the sound keep on playing. Tried uninstalling,wiping data and cache but nothing works..... I didnt have this problem on aosp roms like cm10. Is this particular to sense jb roms ? And is there a fix?

I am on MeanBean 2.83 and not having any problems with Netflix. Have you tried a full wipe and a clean install?

This indicates it's not the ROM, it's something with either Netflix or JB (or both). It happened to me yesterday for the first time as well, I just had to seek back and forth a couple of times for it to get going again, and I am on MeanBean, but that's likely just coincidence.
It's likely a Netflix problem, it's happened to me on mobile and set top on a few movies and shows
I'm not on the latest but it plays fine on my meanbean version

Hi,
I had a problem before about 1 year, i was young in developing back then, i installed a ROM in S-ON, and because i didn't know too much, i S-OFF-ed it with RIFF JTAG, and then installed a ROM, when it booted, I was happy, but when i tried to open Camera app, it opens and closes in an instant, and it started rebooting by itself, and i throw my phone in my house, today i changed my mind (I got some skill there in XDA), flashed a RUU, now it doesn't reboot, but Camera app it's the same, i tried replacing Camera in HARDWARE but nothing, and i don't have warranty, any idea? Flashlight works, but Camera and Camcorder are not working
I really want to save my EVO 3D .
