We don't know if it's safe to unlock your bootloader, that depends on the manufacturing date of your new board.
And for what the best ROM is, that is hard to say, it depends on what you want from your phone. I usually recommend MiniCM7, version 2.0,7, which is the last to run on the stock kernel, (that is Gingerbread 2.3.5) but you could also try MiniCM7Pro, which is for the x10mini-pro, but also runs well on the x10mini (that one is based on Gingerbread 2.3.7).

I want a rom which has good performance in games
Is minicm7 better than minicm6
And are you sure that minicm7pro works on x10 mini without problems

I recommend you Xperia Blaze 3 or ArcMini Nxt6 for stock kernel if you don't want to unlock bootloader , but i think Arcmini is better because you may not like the sound effects of blaze xperia 3 ( SRS effect that makes volume even higher but that only works with the stock earphones they provide with the phone ).
If i helped press thanks
Cheers

Which rom is faster?

As i said, those 2 are the best for stock rom, but i think arcmini is still a bit better.

Ups sorry mate i forgot about the Mini/Pro part xD , sorry mate but if you want good battery in your Mini phone forget 2.2 android versions and 2.3 as well because i think there isn't any yet. But what you can do is to flash 2.1 Roms ( stock eclair but modified ) because the battery is better and you can change the themes ( that blue theme on eclair is horrible ), and you don't have any bugs .

Slow touch/response!

Why is the touch so slow on my x10? When im using an Samsung Galaxy S or even an HTC Wildfire the touch response is very good, for example when i drag down the status bar it follows my finger perfectly. But when I drag down the status bar with my x10 it rolls down after my finger. Iv'e installed alot of roms, but none of them makes the response faster. Is there anyway I can fix this?
Im on an pretty old baseband, can it be that?

That's the 32fps cap doing it's thing. There's not much you can do about it right now, unless you wan't to try zdzihu's alpha-kernel, but it has it's problems and I'd rather wait for a properly tested and supported kernel instead.
add this to your build prop
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=260
I'm also aware that..I've tried freekernel but it is still the same..it is not so responsive..for me iphone has the best responsive..

You mean freekernel as in the one jerpelea cooked, or the alpha-kernel as in the first kernel that was released for use to the community? Because the freekernel doesn't unlock the FPS while the alpha-kernel does.

It just can be used with baseband .52,and bb .52 is not supported by 2.2 rom..if I not mistake usb debugging is not working and many more probs, that why it is call alpha-kernel..Maybe it take weeks or months before our devs can make it stable and support all baseband versions..

Nope you have to add it.
I dunno since when was a dev jesus? Maybe he doesn't know about it?
Im currently using trips miui with the custom kernel and I must say that finger tracking is HUGELY improved. It may no be up to par with the galaxy s or iphone but its much much better

There isnt a best rom. There are several very good roms and it can depend on what you want to do with it[is the one you go for].
The one I use is Feravolts v10.3 and I have trimmed it down.He has 3 newer versions(and I think a 4th on the way lol) that you could look into installing.
More importantly is them rom threads take ages to read about problems and fixing them,so be aware of that.......

using doomkernel v6 and fera volt v14.2...unlocked bootloader
The best way to find out is to try them out, but since your asking. Doomkernel is one of the best ( my opinion) and roms there are so many, dixperia 7 , mm cm 7., championswimmer, chikencito Rom.

Not really. I'd rather grammar troll but thanks for asking
changed it.happy now?
I found v10. whatever was the fastest rom.Versions between that and v.14 were really laggy.
You could try Alzbacs donut rom as its good battery life and hes cut out crap like facebook etc from the rom.
And what do you need 150 apps for as that will slow your phone down and eat up battery.

Advice???

I currently have a x10i and have had it for years now its been flashed and rooted but sometimes the phone freezes during some games ie pool break pro which is a pain also the rom development has slowed down considerable so
I have been offered a swap for a x10 mini pro but would like some advice whether its worth it and how far the device is with development I'm looking to stay on cm based roms and any downfalls of the device?

The x10i is the 'big' experia X10. It has seen more development than it's smaller cousins (x10 mini and x10 mini pro), but i'm guessing any CM-based roms are roughly on par with what you have now. The hardware (processor, memory etc.) are roughly the same so you shouldn't expect miracles.
i know its pretty similar but the x10i ics roms has no video camera and has been the issue for nearly 6 months and that is why im kinda leaning away from the x10i are you able to tell me if the mini pro ics roms are the same and how does ics/jb roms run on mini pro

They're ok-ish, especially MiniCM10 (JB) by nobodyAtall (nAa) is pretty impressive, and he sort of managed to fix the camera and video. Not perfect, but usable at least. But if you have problems with laggy games, then ICS or JB wouldn't be the right choice anyway, because they're very memory-hungry. In that case you should stick to a GB rom, which has a lower memory footprint and uses up less cpu. GingerDX v 029 looks very ICS/JB like but is based on CM7-GB, and is very fast.
And besides that, the hardware keyboard will not work 'out of the box' on ICS or JB, there is a workaround, but you'll have to fix that yourself. There are instructions in the dev-threads on how to do that.
thank you for your reply does the mini pro use the flastool by bin4ry and androxyde the x10i uses to flash kernals and one more thing im currently on miui gb on my x10i and would like to stay on miui mainly due to the ease of customisation is there a fully working miui version available and if so what kernal and rom and any add ons would i need for everything to work

Flashtool: Yes
Miui: GB-version by Rempty seems to have reached 'just-about-perfect' status, you'll need nAa-13 or nAa-14 kernel for that. Dev-thread is here
There are (I believe) two ICS-versions too, but i think they still lack the camera-fixes and haven't been updated in a while.
