Not registered on the network Galaxy S2 - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place, but I looked around the forum and found nothing on this subject
I was with the original firmware 4.0.3 installation, there was a jelly bean rom 4.2.2, now the s2 shows the signal network in the notification bar but when I make a connection HE says: "Not registered on network." The data appears linked the letter E or H in the notification bar, if I'm on more networks / mobile / network configurations / look for the network he finds the light, live, hi, Tim and if I click on any of them that imposivel says it is connecting. try later, already swapped the rom chip moved to the original firmware and nothing.
Can someone help me :crying:
sorry for my english

Maybe you have a bad efs folder . Have you backed it up before? Try a restore of that. You have ATM the same imei as on the back of the phone. ? Corrupted imei as a guess.

not registered on mobile network
Hi. I had the same situation with my S3.
First I removed the battery, then I pressed the turn off button, and selected "data network mode", it deactivates the mobile network, then turned on airplane mode just to make sure everything is really deactivated.
now wait a couple of seconds, and deactivate airplane mode, then select mobile data network again to turn it onm
This solved my problem. Hope it helps.

Dead Wifi on i9100

Sup guys.
I need some help.
I'm a Cyanogenmod user for a long time, been using 4.2.2 nightlies for some time already without any problems.
But after flashing XXMS2 modem from this topic, my WIFI went DEAD.
Flashed it normaly from CWM.
After the problem i tryed about everything, including flashing original rom from samsung via Odin, tryed my older modem (LQ6), nothing seems to get WIFI to work again.
Now im back to 4.2.2 CM 10.1 Nightlies but still have the problem.
WIFI is greyed out on the settings menu, completely dead.
3G connection and calls work fine.
Any help would be welcome. Thanks.
Maybe u could try running a ROM wipe/nuke script and flash CM again? Or try a different kernel...

I believe most of the methods here on XDA are safe, as long as u read the instructions carefully.
Search for 'corrupted efs' or 'recover imei' threads, and you will find what you are looking for.
I don't know how u can mess up anymore than this, but if u are so concerned, take a backup before u try anything.

LOL not being a anything . I have had android for about 15 months now. I've spent that time reading what people have done and messes up and fixed and flashed and how and why for what ? So I or anyone can save you bothering. I was nice at the start but you don't no nothing about your phone. Was still nice But after not bothering to study a little bit is reallllllly lazy of you. I joined xda about a month ago I held of joining cuz I had no input about android. I just read thread after thread after thread to help me to solve issues I mite have. As I don't have a pc to fall back on I read A lot before I do any thing to my phone to see if I may get into trouble and how I can sort it. You download an App of playstore and expect someone with the info to help you along.
I even look to see but now find it your self or ask some other mug to help you.

Dorimanx looks good, but i still got an SOD yesterday evening! Currently running on 'battery' profile, but are there any STweaks settings that might mitigate this?
Also, is SOD a problem that ALL i9100s suffer from?
Mine is under warranty and i have thought about returning it, but, from what i've read, Samsung will most likely just downgrade the kernel. As i do not want a phone running a stock network rom on ICS, i'm trying everything to avoid sending it back.
Yes you must tune to you liking. Sods are a prob but with time changing setting in stweaks you can have a solid kernel. Rootbox is a funny rom. Me I take of hyper and put on intdemand. Setting it up phone each one is dif. But that will help I think.

In case anyone's interested, dorimanx didn't work, nor did any other kernel. So i reverted to stock and sent back to Samsung for a warranty repair. They claim to have upgraded the software, but the firmware is exactly the same as it was before i sent it! I can only assume they have no idea what is causing it, and are trying to pretend they've fixed it.
Yep that sounds like a Samsung authorised repairer (unfortunately).

[Q] Internal SD card problem

Hello people!
I'm glad that i joined this great forum. I have some problems with my SGS2 (i9100). I've researched about this problem for weeks but couldnt get any answer so i feel this situation is appopriate to open a new thread. Let me describe my problem.
I'm running JellyBAM ROM in my i9100. I am not using any external SD card cause i find my internal storage quite enough. Everytime i put or download something to my internal storage (like mp3, picture) that file gets broken. For example i cant download images from WhatsApp because it says the download cannot be completed in my language. If i manage to download one, it gets "black" in few minutes i can only see it for a while. If i get a mp3 by download or bluetooth i can play it first but after 10 mins it cant be opened. Today i tried to backup my all applications using Titanium Backup, root folder of my internal sdcard or any folder in my sdcard, it says this folder is not writable. I tried to set chmod 777 but it doesnt work.
I really need an info about this situation cause i cannot do anything with my phone. Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you very much!
