How do I re install S planner from Titanium backup?
I have a rooted Galaxy S3. The S planner and Smemo apps corrupted when upgrading to 4.1.2. I ran a full system TB back up immediately after upgrading which saved the corrupted Splanner. I uninstalled the app from the phone and replaced them in the TB backup folder with the files done before the upgrade. But TB does not see the older version in the restore menu. I have refreshed and run TB " replace all missing apps and system data". But since TB doesn't recognize or see the replaced apps, it's not installing the backup. The files are clearly there and can be seen with explorer. How do I fix this?
Thanks for any help you can provide,
Noob

Update: I tried using Astro File Manager to install S Planner apk from the TB back up folder but get nothing but "parsing error".

I have a problem when selecting contacts from some applications
Now when I use some apps like maps or a simple app I made that requires me to select a contact it force closes
I have deleted the standard contacts app and replaced it with phonebook, which might be the problem
Is their any way to get it back?
A assume, that you run on 2.1.
In attached .7z: both contacts, and provider.
Push them to your /system/app and change permissions, to:

After doing that just restart your mini.
Thanks, it works but now all the details of my contacts dont match the name in the list and seem to be in a random order
Try to delete all contacts (first do a bakup ofc), and load them again. May work.
I deleted the com.sonyerricson.conacts directory from /data/data all works now
I noticed a file was downloaded to my Samsung Galaxy S2 whilst the phone wasn't in use with the screen off and locked. I've attached a screenshot of the download to show the file name hoping it might mean something to someone.

The same file was downloaded again approximately ten minutes later, again without instruction.
I then ran AVG which didn't identify anything (the Settings Security Issue is having USB Debugging switched on)
I recently restored my applications using Titanium Back Up after flashing a new ROM.
Noticed the images were unavailable. They should be visible now.
maybe an app in background downloaded it? maybe you also restored the "malware" with your backup. try a different scanner, if nothing helps -> hard reset without ti backup
because every time you uninstall an application I get this (the process has stopped android.process.acore.)?? help please : Confused:

did you install custom phonebook.apk? (ex. Xperia S apps)
1. if yes, try to install the original phonebook.apk manually and open it. (do not import contacts cause you contacts are still there)
2. then install back the custom phonebook.apk manually.
In my case, it solved the problem.
It just means that the process has had to stop, it must be linked into your applications. I get a similar issue on some of the bloatware.
Yep, quick google shows it as syncing issues, try clearing data on contact storage remember to backup first as it'll probably delete your numbers etc.

Now i know this problem is pretty common, however most methods require deleting or editing the nandroid.md5 file. My particular backup does not seem to contain the file (i suppose this is why the mismatch is occuring). I havent edited any of the contents what-so-ever, so i dont know why CWM did not make make the file. Does anyway know a work around to fix for this?

If the apps are from the market why not reset, then go get your apps?
Another possibility: qhen I've had a crappy restore, I restored a second time and things went smoother.
I would try that, but I would be ready to reset and visit the market.
Can I somehow restore using this? I literally have a folder on my desktop with a ton of .properties, .tar.gz, and .apk.gz files. Can I get all my apps back from this or is it impossible?
Hi Byyz,
Not sure which is your phone, has it only internal memory or also external storage via micro-SD ?
It shouldn't be an issue as long as you respect the same folder logic prior formatting.
->Get your system back to your phone
-> Install Titanium and check where it gets installed, most probably on the internal memory
-> Copy that TitaniumBackup folder to your device
-> You can chose in Titanium where to look for the TB location: Go to Backup/Restore - Preferences - Backup Folder Location
