says you have to change the binary file to another folder, but as I do? but I have access to the system and the application root checker tells me I have no access

Is there any way to change the carrier name in the notification bar, I've been searching forever and I havn't found anything. I've looked through framework-res.apk with no success. Does anyone know how to do this?

I have an Motorola atrix 4g .
I searched in system and i didn't find that .xml file..
so i cant try what you did, and probably your apk in market wont work..
Any ideas? where to search and find that file?
i 've only found apn settings..

Hi there, have someone here tried to activate the on screen buttons for xperia s using the following document:
[MOD] Enable Xperia S on-screen buttons (Stock ICS 6.1.A.0.452) on the development section? cause i tried, however it did not work, i am running last version of Android 4.0.4 with unlocked bootloader and root as well, I followed step number 3 just to replace the original file as it is explained on the post, right after the phone rebooted by itself and as a result i get a bootloop. I would apreciate any help that you can provide to me

Or you use the CWM file (last page, reuploaded. Or you paste the file on the /system partition, set permissions and then move it to /system/framework.
Framework-res.apk is propably one of the most important files from the entire Android system.
MMM ok, i think it would be easier to just install the ZIP file with CWM, however file is no longer available on your post, it seems it was removed from Mediafire server, so you think just by setting permisions i would be able to achieve the goal?

it is a chinese mobile phone.and i saw a workaround for it,but didn't know how to fix it myself, hence i attached my packages.xml for someone to be generous enough to just tell me what changes i have to make to the file

sorry friend Idk to edit the package too
if you are rooted you can try flashing the latest gapps package that should fix this and try fixing permissions
if you are not rooted then wait for someone to edit it for you or do a search and do it yourself

i am rooted and i tried flash the gapps but it gave an error.something like wrong package or something...
so no one is kind enough to just do this which would take a practiced one, less than a minute? how sweet

I bought Lenovo s850, rooted, few days ago and now I have a problem. I had uninstalled some programs that comes with system that were irritating and now after I rebooted the phone there is a message SECURITY PROBLEM. What should I do to solve that?? Its a KitKat 4.4.2, VIBEUI 2.0.

i try to root ...until now still cant {in hand 2 week } ...what software u use to root ..
and ,r u sure ready root ??? cos , mine1 also got root apk inside phone , but nothing to do

There are 2 roms on needrom.com but the older one just causes a constant boot loop. The other one needs installing via cwm but I cant find any info on installing it. Anyone else seen any info?
Can anyone who has the s850 from china do a rom dump to needrom? My original rom was vibeui_v9.5_9422_3_st_s850 but now I have wrong version from lenovo forums.ru which removed imei's and messed with partitions and radios.

I have a s60w and deleted secureit app
For remove message you must to edit /system/build.prop and add the one line
ro.lenovo.check_safeapp=0
There is oen app in play store to edit that file, phone must be rooted

You just need to copy and paste below line into the build prop
ro.lenovo.check_safeapp=0
After this, save build prop and reboot your phone.

Have you rooted your device?
I edited build prop via es file explorer. My es file explorer have root access enabled.

Hi, would you mind telling me how exactly to do that? I have just downloaded Build prop editor but I have never used it before and I am a little bit scared that I'll make everything even worse.
Concretely - should I just copy this line wherever in column of /system/build.prop? Doesn't matter where?

today i downloaded the rom ArchiDroid V2.5.2.
then I tried to install the apk FreeDom so that I could buy in game stuff..
so when I open FreeDom I get this message: "Write permissions on system partition are required in order to use Freedom."
How do I fix this?

1st: there is an archidroid q&a thread where you can post archidroid specific questions.
2nd: read Archidroid OP, there you will find your answer. alternatively either search in the main thread or in the q&a thread for "freedom" and you'll find at least 10 times your needed answer.
3rd: i am nice and repeat again the solution:
freedom needs to modify the hosts file but archidroid has a built-in adblock which locks the hosts file by default. so go to the archidroid app and unlock the hosts file. then it should work. but note that it is not recommended to use this method (read the thread to know why)
