Best bet would be to remove any apps you didnt get from the market or here. Any other apps found on other site contain this ads as well as worse things like keyloggers and software to upload all info to private servers.

Install this and start turning notifications off until you stop receiving the spam... Simple?

That doesn't solve the issue or protect against what else the app might be doing.

Just delete the app itself? If the problem persists you may have to re flash stock rom (risky) if its really that much of a problem.

[Q] Gaps on Applications Page

Anyone else know how to get the apps lined up without moving each one manually after un-installing one on the applications pages?
I have gaps on most pages and takes forever to move manually
I couldn't find any other way, it annoys me too.
So is there no fix to this then? Seems like it should do it automatically.
Have you tried 'TouchWiz AppSorter' from the market?
It sorts the apps in the app drawer alphabetically and removes spaces. However the phone does need to be rooted
Thanks, worked a treat

[Q] Ace increasingly getting slow

My GT-S5830i is increasingly getting slower and slower.
Andriod: 2.3.6
Kernal Ver: 2.6.35.7
Build: Gingerbread xxmd1
Various apps running 195MB used - 32MB Free
The 3 major app memory usage, Facebook @33MB, Weather Channel @16MB, Android Antivirus @24MB
The rest as far as I know are standard Android system apps, the only duplicate app I can see are 2 Google maps each @5MB. I have tried un-installing one or other, but they restart themselves.
Any tips of improving access speeds to various common apps, such as txts and phone contacts etc to dial. Also photo's which are all stored on a SD card as are all videos, sounds and etc.
thanks

visited the link and looked at all apps on my phone to compare..
i have uninstalled the Facebook app and added a shortcut instead. For all the green apk's to be deleted, although listed and most are not used. Cannot delete any, only clear data or force stop. Yet when looking down the app list, some have restarted such as 'maps' and 'email'.
thanks again

Do as @Envy-X told
First Root your Ace and then Delete those unwanted system apps by any Root Browser
It will delete that app permanently.
OK
What else could I gain by Rooting my phone.

Frequent ads appearing on every app?

I have a problem using my apps because of the ads, they appear fullscreen on every 3 seconds,so its imposible to use my apps.i have tried a lot of apps that block advertisments, but they were useless.all of the apps are downloaded from google playstore.solution?
check your apps, fake ones act like this
There are some apps which produce ads on our mobile for that they earn money for displaying it and earn more when clicking it.
Try adblock plus which is totally free and it's not available in Playstore so you need to download it directly from your browser.
It might work :good:

How can i know which apps are fake?
Are you rooted? How do you block ads?
Is this happen on every app on your smartphone, even the native ones? This sounds like a virus/exploit.... if your smartphone is rooted you should try to get an antivirus-app and try to use it.. or if nothing works you have to reinstall your OS

This is abnormal (not related to a website for instance). Wipe the user data and start from scratch to identify the faulty app. Did you install apks outside the Play Store?

Well that's part of your problem right there. That developer is known if being terrible with putting ads everywhere. No one that knows will touch their apps.

That won't matter as long as you have apps from Cheeta apps. They are one of the most hated app developers around do to the ads. Also most of their apps really don't do anything other then placebo

Honestly that depends on the device. Most Chinese devices come with adware like this built into the OS. What device do you have?

You have obviously installed crappy apps that use ads from adbuddiz, admob... We can find a lot of them on Google Play (one of the reason why F-Droid is a good alternative).
Either uninstall everything but trusted apps (then reboot) or root your device and update your hosts file with good sources (AdAway's ones for instance). If it doesn't work, you will probaly have to start from scratch.

Facebook messenger issues

Hey ever body I'm not sure if anyone else is having the problems I'm having with Facebook messenger but I've tried clearing the cache memory, uninstalling re-installing and nothing helps I actually have the same problem with my PC . When I go to send a message it has taken as much as an hour to send sometimes it doesn't send at all and I've googled my butt off to no avail. I'm hoping someone here has an answer as to how to fix it my S8 is still on 7.0 and it's a Sprint phone if you have any ideas you can either post them here or email me at [email protected] admins sorry if I'm putting in the wrong section
Thanks in advance,
Harry

I have no issues with FB messenger on my T-Mobile S8+, when I send one I get a response within minutes if not sooner. I'm wondering if you have another app on your phone that is causing issues with FB messenger app, not sure what it might be though.

Try these
1st
Settings: Applications: 3 Dots in right corner: Special Access: Optimize Battery Usage: Change view to all apps: Then turn off anything Facebook related.
2nd
Remove accounts and re-sign in
3rd
Verify Sync is enabled and data isn't restricted for those apps
4th
Make sure data saver isn't enabled within Facebook or Messenger app settings
There could be a ton of reasons for this though. If non of the above resolves then most likely it's either carrier data/service related or FB servers. If none of this resolves and it continues much longer I'd suggest opening a support ticket with Facebook as they could get a better idea of what is causing the delay.
O and having multiple active locations signed in can cause you to miss out on notifications and even have delays in sending/receiving messages.

Closing apps isn't a problem nor would cache/data. It would be settings related, account related, or some mixture of both.
FB says to first try removing accounts, wipe data/cache, remove apps (FB & Messenger), then start over. The article was done back in KitKat days but that is the best way to start in narrowing down the "why" aspect.
The article that follows that points to VPN and ad blocking as a potential culprit but I would think that's unlikely in your case.
FB services app including update manager came preinstalled on S7/S7 Edge in which I once had your same issue for a week but using package disabler I wiped those, uninstalled app (FB & Messenger), rebooted, followed by installing again. Fixed the issue and until now hadn't thought of it.

I used app to wipe data on them all and only uninstalled Facebook and Messenger the normal way. Have you changed the battery optimization settings like mentioned in my post a few back? Also account removal is an important step.

That's a really weird error message, did you installed something on your smartphone lately ?
When an app request a permission, it asks for it right away, it has been like that since Android 6 (the creation of the feature). So I think it might be a malware. When you click on restore, what does it do ?

You need to grant Instagram the permissions it requires or Instagram won't work. You can't deny its permissions and then expect the app to still work without those permissions being granted.

Ok that's definitely a trap, don't ever allow anything, review your app list very carefully and come back here with screenshots of apps that seems suspicious. Sometimes viruses have a transparent app icon, if you see a blank space in your app list (usually it's at the end of the list but check the whole thing) click on it and uninstall the app right away.
The malware can also come from an apk you installed (from a normal app like a WhatsApp mod or just a normal apk), so check the battery consumption of every app you installed through an APK file, and if there is a heavy usage one, it might be the one. Come back here with the screenshots of the app list and the suspected apps before disabling/uninstalling anything (to avoid erasing something important to you)

You can't install an app - here IG - two times or even more often on an Android device. You always have to completely uninstall ( means including its data ) it first and foremost and then to re-install the app in question.
