[Q] Unbrick is possible? - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

Hello.
First of all, pardon me for my English. I bought LG L9 P769. Try to put firmwire with Russian language, and by mistake puted firmwire from P760. It makes all pictures and text morrored and all colors is reversed, and digitizer mirrored as well. After that I tryed to put original firmwire V10G - and no luck with that. Then I tryed to put Canadian firmwire V11A, get an error on 54%, anf from then my phone is not working at all((((
Any sugestions? Thanks a lot.

Is the phone able to go in SW Upgrade mode?

If you just see the LG logo with "Security Error" you can fix it this way:
download & install latest usb driver
download & insatall LG Mobile Support Tool
remove the battery from the phone
while pressing volume down button connect the usb cable and wait (about 10 seconds) in this mobe until SW upgarde is displayed on the phone
insert the battery back
perform a SW update via LG Mobile Support Tool

Yes, it's ONLY in SW Upgrade mode. But LG Mobile Support Tool says that phone has a latest firmwire and there is nothing to update or recover.

Set Recovery Phone in LG MST

1.To fix s/w upgrade mode as well as inverted colors and mirrored display you have to fastboot your phone. Download and unpack this and "run as administrator" start.bat
--
2.Put your phone into s/w mode(steps 1-5) and Flash&root your p769.
--
3.Finally fix the digitizer

Flashed v20b, waited 1 hour, unlocked bootloader. Flashed cwm touch.
Flashed 10g, rooted using lelus bl locked method.
Did the digitizer fix.
Restored JB v20d cwm backup.
Everything's fine, but I went further, doing the mirror fix with ufix.
Everything is fine, reboot, now I get the LG logo and "security error" under it.. Can't boot, can't enter SW mode, Recovery doesn't boot.
What did I miss, where's my mistake or how do I repair this?
thanks
EDIT: I can still trigger fastboot using omap4boot, doesn't say bootloader unlocked up top as I expected and it's still mirrored.

the mirror fix flashes stock jb xloader and uboot which can't handle unlocked bootloader.
you either have to flash stock recovery or xloader and uboot from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2235581&page=2 post #12 or #16 but you'll have that initially mirrored screen
stock jb p769 recovery

As threads get older, it starts to get hairy/scary - Easy to confuse what works when or not.. lol
Especially as files/links degrade, die or get deleted..
Thankfully attached files in post #12 were still available, post #16 on depositfiles has been deleted.

As a result, fastboot is hanging there, "waiting for device".

Can anyone of u help me ???? My phone is still stuck with Fastboot mode
Basically on a windows machine you download kdz updater and uncompress it as it is a zip file.
Download from here.
This is what I did on an xp laptop.
I had to down load the drivers from the official lg site. when here you enter the code that is on the box the phone came in or under the battery.
Chose the your county and laguage from the drop down box at the top right of the dialogue box. Then from the middle you can choose the drivers. For some reason I had to find the files and click on them to install the driver.
Ok once you decompress kdz updater there are three seperate files to work with. 1. windows enabler. 2. msxml.msi 3.KDZ_FW_UPD.exe
You will also need to download the right file to restore with,You can find it with google.
Please check here the The_ERROR thread wich explains it very well:
[ROMS] Original LG Firmware list.
Install msxml now.
Now you have to boot the phone into rescue mode. On Lg Optimus One turn phone off even if it means taking out the battery.
Press power - volume up - back (this button is next to the home button).
Connect to usb now.Computer found new hardware and installed four drivers.
Then open device manager. Left click my computer - properties - device manager. You need to disable the lg modem driver. Left click on it and disable.
Now launch kdz updater. There will be a drop box on left set to 3gspt or similiar. on the right drop box set to diag. The long box just above the info box with a file at the side lets you browse to find restore file. e.g. V10a.00.kdz.
Double click the button below and let it do it's thing. Took 15min. My phone shut down and came up with an error at the last minute. Anyway I rebooted and all was good.
Everything was the way I left it. Just had to re-root.
My only real problem was getting the kdz installer to see the phone.
After installing the drivers restart pc. If it finishes quickly and just before saying finished it says phone not found try removing all phone related drivers including nokia pc suite and the lg suite and remove and reinstall the drivers.
Hope this is of some help to you.
Finally, Recovered my phone by flashing KDZ through Emergency mode.. No other method worked..

I had the same worries coz my pc did not detect my device at all..
I was trying to get pass the Fastboot mode.. But in the cmd when i tried to erase and re-install recovery it said waiting for device.. Luckily and finally after many tries i could enter emergency mode. Only then the phone got detected but fastboot didnot work there.. The Only way out was to Do the KDZ flash. I flashed the indian GB V20b and did a hard reset now. Flashed recovery and for now have left it with the stock rom..
I wonder now this problem arises due to custom roms.

this problem was cuz didn't perform the steps carefully.
This can called bricking but not fully . As it can be recovered.
Bricking is when your phone is as useless as a brick.

Unable to connect to phone in SW mode.

ok, I used pimp my rom and well one little setting in the GPU area caused it to blackscreen.. so I decided to just clear the phone hard reset.. but no luck.
so now im stuck, LG comes up and SW does.. but I can not get the PC to clear the phone it keeps saying usb disconnected please connect.., I was using the Metro PCS rom.. 10D I believe, but anyways anyone that can step me in the right direction would have my gratitude.. ive tried the lelus method.. and just not working right.. maybe its the drivers.. but I made sure all of them are installed..

OK. Two options to solve this problem.
1. You can use LG Mobile support tool to recover your phone. Load it from LG website select recover phone from menu.
or
2. Flash ICS u boot & x-loader via fastboot. Please refer to to fastboot tool at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292828 after that your computer should reconize your phone in S/W update mode and you can flash kdz.

[Q] Stuck at LG logo

Hi all!!
Yesterday i tried to install android 4.4 but the procces didnt succeed, it stuck at. LG boot logo. So i decided to restore my backup in ckockworkmod,it started the process then stopped at the phase "restoring /system" . I waited about a half hour, and because it didnt take the much time before, i took out the battery. I read somewhere that formatting the system partition in cwm could help, so i did that. Then i retried restoring my backup. It stuck at the same phase. Later i downloaded the official kdz, and decided to flash it. I could bring the phone in update mode, but the process stopped at 15% at lg update manager.
At the moment i can get into clockworkmod, but cant restore /system . The update mode is also okay. I dont know that fastboot works or not. I havent tried it yet. Please help me thanks in advance
@trapistasajt
You will need to get fastboot working and use lelus's fastboot script to flash the "u" and "x" loaders for the device and then perform the offline or online flash
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292828
Also as you found out you cannot flash custom roms without ulocking the bootloader first and you cannot use the L9 CWM bootstrap recovery for Locked Bootloaders, too flash custom roms.
try this online flash methode with B2CAppSetup
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344
i had the same probleme and i fixed it .
My bootloader is unlocked. I tried the fast boot method, but it doesnt go further than "Waiting for omap...." . So, i couldnt go into fastboot (probably my fault). Yesterday i sent it to the service. If they notice that my varranty is void (because of the unlocked bl) and send it back, i will try it once more. I would be very thankful if someone could write a noob friendly-fastboot guide. As i read, lots of people are struggling with the same problem. Thanks in advance!!!

For example i actuallybhave v20L but my original carrier only released v10a. It will restore to v10a
None of them works, other ideas?
This fastboot method worked for me in 5 min, pay close attention to the instructions and it works!

Spent days with LG update tool which if you read the log has no url for files to download.
Good luck!
I got my phone back from the service. They didnt repair it, because my varranty is void. I tried the methods mentioned above.
First, I tried flashing kdz, (with the solution for post-jb problem), but i couldn't get into S/W mode, which was available before the service.
Second, since i couldn't load S/W mode, the LG upgrader wasn't successfull, too
Third, fastboot still not work.
I am sure, that im not the only person with this problem, since it happened during installing @artas182x 's JB 4.4 rom. Please @artas182x or somebody write a noob-friendly guide/suggestion which may help to unbrick my beloved phone. Thanks!!!!!

Boot Certification verity - Secure booting error

Hello everyone.
I have already posted this message in another post ([FIX] NO Recovery mode, No download mode, after OTA rooted on LG G2 )
I have a smartphone lg g2 guarantee europe. I tried to enter the root "ioroot25" and with the program "Root Checker Basic" I got confirmation that the operation of the root is successful. After the application "Flashify" I tried to flash the recovery TWRP (version 2.8.0.1), after removing it I flashed the recovery, and I clicked Reboot Now.
After that the device will restart and with the logo Lg there are written:
"Boot certification verity
secure booting error
CAUSES: Boot certification verity. "
In an attempt to restore the original firmware of my Lg G2 I found that my device does not go into Download Mode.
I think I messed up my lg g2, I tried to follow your guide with Ubuntu software.
I connected my device to the PC, I opened the terminal resistor Ubuntu (CTRL + ALT + T) and I inserted the following code:
ls /dev/sd *
Click to collapse
Depending on your driving terminal response has included only the first line:
/ dev / sda / dev / sda1 / dev / sda2 / dev / sda5

After that I could not continue the proceedings of your guide.
Can you help me.
Thanks

I tried using LG Flash Tool with H90120e_00_0316.kdz... it gave the connecting to server error. I had read that this is normal, that I should wait... I waited twice, overnight, and nothing happened.
Did you have success? if so, which version of Flash Tool did you use, with which specific kdz file? and what is your phone version?
Thank you for your input, I will try again using the KDZ I have.
This happened to me and I was able to unbrick. You have to get into download mode by connecting your phone to your computer and just hold the volume up button before it loops again. Then I was able to re-flash the kmz in download mode with LGUP.
What happened is I forgot to fully unlock the bootloader again after flashing the kmz. You have to do the fastboot portion as well (fastboot oem unlock). Then you can flash the tot file and continue the root process.

how can you get into downloader mode ? I get stuck on the boot screen, even when trying to access downloader mode. I don't have recovery installed as this happened while trying to install it.

Your phone needs to be connected to PC for that to work. Check if you connected directly to onboard USB port and cable is OK. Also, check if you going in it right: full shutdown (preferebly with battery), hold vol-up and connect it to PC while doing it. It should show small frame with "Download mod" and some dots and go to actual download mode after it detectes connection to PC.

Also, you can try holding vol-up again, after download mode screen appeared. What kind of bootloop you area having, by the way? Is it just LG logo or something is writen in red there?

yes, i tryied holding vol-up again, after download mode screen appeared and when i let it continue to normal boot there is something in red color after the Lg logo appears (690 boot varification fail!)
(740 -cause: MISMATCH_SIG_LEN)
Is there a way for taking away?
