So I unlocked my Vibrant and found out I can't open picture messages and can't send them. I also can't get 3g or at least edge enabled either. I have been told to google AT&T's APN settings to enable both mms and 3g. I have found only the settings that I have which obviously don't work for me.
So can anyone care to explain why I can't enable mms and 3g/edge on my phone?
OR
Help me figure out how to enable both things on my phone? Pretty please?
Here are my default settings

Also when I dial *#2263# it says RAT Selection Option is restricted !
Idk if that helps
And also when I dial *#*#4636#*#* it says my gprs service is disconnected
I think you might need to enable the 850 band, its in one of the *#*# settings or w/e.. I've done it before but you could probably search to find that.
EDIT:
I found this
Open Dialer
Enter *#2263#
select COMBI BAND select WCDMA 850
hit MENU > select back > the Back on the Phone
reboot.
Yes when Idial that it says ita restricted
I have a pretty much brand new L769 from Tmo.
Sim unlocked.
Traveling in France using an AT&T sim.
Phone does not connect to data network but calls/SMS work (data enabled, roaming enabled). Any ideas?

Sorry to necro this, but when I add an APN and then save it, it goes back to apn list but is not there as an option. I've unlocked and can make calls/text but no data at all. I am unrooted, is there something I'm missing or do I need root to edit apn? Thanks a ton.

You should have a radio button to the right of each apn config. Tap on the button for the one you want.
If that does not work try toggling "Airplane Mode".
If that does not work, you have the wrong apn settings. You will need to contact your cellular provider and ask them for the correct Android APN settings.
Good luck.
I just got my M8Pro 3G tablet from PiPo with default APN setup for using AT&T.
Name: ATT
APN: broadband

Password: cingular1

APN Type: default,supl,mms
APN protocol - IPv4
APN enable/disable - APN enabled
Bearer – Unspecified
My problem is that it will only connect to the EDGE 2G network, which is way slow. The modem specs for this 3G tablet are as follows:
1. Standard SIM Card Slot
2. HSPA/WCDMA: 2100/900MHz
3. GSM/GPRS/EDGE Quad band: 850/900/1800/1900
4. Download maximum: 7.2Mbit/s
5. Upload maximum: 5.76Mbit/s
In working with AT&T Tech Support we find that the provisioning system can not ID the IMEI number. Therefore, no APN settings from AT&T.
I am thinking that if provisioning could be set up for some other similar tablet we might get this working properly. I have tried several APN setups but nothing will let me get beyond EDGE 2G.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you guys can help me? My HTC One is only getting EDGE.
My HTC One that is being used with MetroPCS' BYOD plan is only getting EDGE, and not 3g, 4g, or even LTE. The phone was being used with Verizon Wireless before I got it. Everything works fine, but my data speed is super slow (EDGE 0.01 download and 0.01 upload). When I check the APN settings, it still says Verizon Wireless Internet. The people at my local MetroPCS store were no help since they don't know anything about APN settings. Thanks.

I have the same problem with a Metro PCS plan on an Alcatel One Touch Fierce XL, has anyone been able to make Mexico roaming function?
I have the Xperia Z2 on Three UK and I bought it unlocked. 3G works fine but 4G doesn't, even when LTE only is selected and my friends on Three have full 4G signal it shows no service. 4G used to work on O2. My APN settings are correct. Any ideas?
LTE on 3 UK works fine for me, are you 100% sure you have 4G signal in your area with three? Have a check with this tool. Have you checked the "Use only 3G networks" option in mobile network settings?
Also, check your APN settings with my ones what I'll post.

It's working now I think you have to wait a few days after starting a new contract before 4g is activated.
