[Q] Accidental install VM CM JB on Sprint Evo3D - HTC EVO 3D

So, I was excited this morning when GooManager reported there was a new version of the CM JB Rom I've been running. I let the app download the rom. Then I wiped the device and installed the downloaded rom. The only problem is GooManager downloaded the Virgin Mobil rom instead of the Sprint rom. I found out when I saw Virgin at the bottom of the notifications pulldown.
I manually downloaded the correct rom, wiped the device, and installed the correct Sprint rom.
My question is: Is there anything I need to be concerned about or should everything be okay?
Yes, I will no longer trust that the GooManager will download the correct rom and will validate the full filename before installing any more updates.
Thanks!

Should be fine....I've flashed countless sprint roms (im on vm) and have had no issues going back and forth

couple of questions and an issue....
when installing the deodexed stock say writing 1.3 kernel,is it the 1.3 kernel or stock? just the roko install script?
the file size is so small was wondering if it has webtop? or if since i installed lokis webtop it will have webtop once i install it?
the issue im having is no data service tried several of the usual methods to get it working but cant seem to get it to grab a signal. the weird thing is in seetings menu says i am connected to sprint but i have no 3g icon and no web page or data service loads.. idk if is just on my end or what but wanted to bring it to light in hopes maybe you knew a way to get it working..... btw
thanks for this once i can get it fully working will use it as a base for my roms from now on was looking for a completely stock deodexed rom for my base hoping i found it... i know there is a thread with the system and framework from stock deodexed but couldnt get it to boot so... as for me happy to see this up

I tried the unlocked deodex first and data plus wifi were not working. I didn't look at data much. Wifi said obtaining ip address, but never connected.
The odex version works. I rooted it with the photon-torpedo, and worked fine. I'm restoring my data with titanium backup as we speak.

[Q] evo 3d still no google play..

got an htc evo 3d gsm through rogers wireless in canada, and it still hasn't received an update from market to play store. Have rooted it, but still on a stock rom. Also have an acer liquid e rooted and with cm7 installed, and a rooted galaxy tab 10.1 everything is through rogers, and both the liquid and the tablet have updated to play. It hasn't caused any problems without the update yet, so not a huge issue, but if anyone has any ideas, they would be appreciated
Have you frozen or deleted the market updater?

Well, i found the site for that, but as i haven't done much with the evo, as in, i'm running the stock rom (2.3.4), i have to ask.. Does it matter which one i download? I see some for ics, and some for gb. Are these compatable with stock rom, and can i just download the latest gb version on the goo.im/gapps page?

If you still can't find the apk that works I can pm it to you when I herbs chance this weekend.

WiFi broken and can't read SIM after flashing virtuous rom?

To add into relations to my other post the reason I had to restir is cause the Virtuous Rom booted and WiFi woild not toggle on and keeps saying insert SIM.
??
I was only trying to install a good stable gsm Rom that would initially work well with apn settings seeing as I use the droid DNA UNLOCKED on T-Mobile.
I can't figure a way to keep the apn settings set after a reboot they default
So I read flashing a global gsm Rom will auto save the apns and theyll stick.
Any insight? Any good Roms that will do this for T-Mobile
And any reason or known reason on the re insert SIM issue after flashing a Rom
this is a noted problem from what I've read ,but with no Straight forward reason or solution.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
Well the Wifi not working is cuz you didn't flash the kernel properly.
And for the sim error, that's just a problem with the dna. Re seat it and it should be fine.

When you unzip the file there should be a boot.img file you will need to flash in fastboot. the command is fastboot flash boot boot.img
Then once you do that, boot into recovery and reflash the rom. Wifi should work.
According to both Verizon and HTC, there was a known issue with the phone software and not being able to read the SIM card. It happened to mine about ten times every week until an update was released to supposedly fix it in February. I still get the error from time to time, but far less than I did previously. If you've rooted and flashed a ROM prior to February, I would suggest making a backup and restoring the phone back to stock. Once you've done this, do the update to the new firmware and then reroot and restore from your backup. This should, I think, fix most SIM issues.

Hi Guys!
Since the jflte family of devices is almost exactly the same I thought I would post my I9505 (jflte) Rom here for you as well!
It has been tested by jfltetmo and jfltecan users and is confirmed working!
To install it, just download the I9505 rom and then flash the appropriate device specific package I created.
Download the rom from this thread
Download the appropriate device specific package
Install CWM or TWRP recovery.
Boot into recovery, install ROM, then install the device specific package then install gapps.
Wipe Data/Factory Reset if coming from another Rom.
Reboot and enjoy!
Your device name might show up as I9505. If you are bothered by it you can edit the file /system/build.prop in the rom .zip package before you flash it.
This does not affect the way the rom functions in any way.
Please let me know if you have successfully installed and running this rom on any of the US variants of the S4. I don't own the device!

Yes that usually pops on a loki issue if im not mistaken. So your steps would be to flash the rom, flash your preferred kernel(i personally like the chronic kernel) then flash your gapps package.

Is this thread still alive or what. I grabbed the rootbox stable and nightly version from goo. And I got to say is pretty solid feeling. I can't find a support thread for these releases unfortunately data doesn't work on either build. All the other junk ass aosp builds have data. I would like to achive data or at least find a support thread.
Any ideas suggestions or input is appreciated Thanks

Phones running hot after restoring my phone from backup

Hey so quick little question. I just flashed a rom. But I decided to flash to backup back to stock because I think we get 4.4.2 tomorrow. I'm rooted. I have it all. Android system is to blame. And a few other things. Does anyone have any suggestions to help?
correction : the phone seems to fine now.

You won't be able to take any updates until you flash a stock recovery on the phone... just letting you know so you don't screw up and try to take OTA with custom recovery.
