Which rom did you use? You have to make sure it's stock and not stripped.

U can root ur phone and not have to flash a Rom. I rooted and used tb to remove a bunch of apps so it's kinda like I'm running a custom Rom lol

I think he means you just flash a stock rooted image not one with things trimmed or deodexed.
Down with Verizon for locking my bootloader

I am sorry for what will seem like a dumb question, but I recently rooted and used the bloatware remover. I would like to put the bloat back on the DNA but I am not sure how to do that. I downloaded the undo file and placed that on the phone and installed it via recovery but the files did not reload. Could someone help me to figure this out?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

Just install whatever ROM you are currently running. You shouldn't have to wipe or anything, just flash it and your bloat should be back =)
Just make sure you flash a rooted rom (most are rooted except for bone stock verizon roms and RUU's)

I installed CM 10.1 Unofficial and still the same problem, i unlock go and touch an app and it takes for ever to load (10 sec). I will try the other rom and let you know.

I did this same thing. I did an unroot, and re rooted. that did the trick for me!
unrooted using this http://stockroms.net/file/GalaxyNote/SGH-i717/ICS/I717UCLF6_I717ATTLF6_ATT.zip
and then re-root with your favorite recovery.

huh, crazysause. I wouldn't have thought to check the root, but then again most of the problems i've heard that come from rooting is breaking the phone.
Yeah, usually huge lag happens when you flash a modem that the ROM doesn't like, or you flash a mod that changes your framework, like the 15- toggles mods, or 4-way reboot menu mod, if the bases aren't the same.

That's understandable, and I'd expect that from flashing a rom or radio just not when rooting. Guess I'm just lucky that hasn't happened to me

Yeah, I really don't understand how changing root permissions cause lag, unless the incorrect kernel was flashed. That would at best cause lag, at worst cause brick.

Even if you flash a stock ROM , unless its a complete update package, you don't change the modem.

when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. If you've eliminated everything with the software and firmware, the only thing left is hardware.

go to sammobile. com and download it there.

Downgrading isn't possible. Neither is loading custom recovery. You now have a locked bootloader.

You can not downgrade, and attempts to do so will potentially trip your KNOX counter. At the very least you'll end up soft-bricked and have to do a repair install....of 4.3.

Meat & Potatoes:
I tried ODINing my GN2 back to stock 4.1.2 tonight - I rooted it a couple months ago. Did not install a custom ROM, just rooted (the process also replaced the Recovery).
Tried ODINing back to stock using the files and information found in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024207
When I run ODIN, it simply fails. Tells me "0 succeeded / 1 failed". Phone still works, I just can't get anywhere in the rolling back to stock bit.
Longer Version:
I've had the phone since the end of January 2013. I rooted it for a couple of reasons, mostly to get rid of bloatware, but also for an app or two that needed root access. I've had zero problems with usability or stability of the device before or since the rooting.
I couldn't tell you which root process I used, but I know it came from an XDA thread, and it automatically replaced the recovery with something touch-based. I'm not sure of the name of the recovery. It did not replace the ROM - I've had less than desirable results from using non-stock ROMs in the past on a handful of other devices, so I wasn't about to risk it.
Since VZW is rolling out the 4.3 update and it looks like a good deal, I want to get my phone back to non-rooted, non-custom-recovery'd state so I can install the update. I'm also doing it because I'm hoping they get the phone up to 4.4 down the line so I can use HCE and GWallet.
Currently, I'm downloading (very slowly, thanks sammobile, for not hosting files on your own servers) the stock VZW 4.3 package from Sammobile.com in hopes I can do something with that and just go straight up from where I am, but I'm not holding my breath since the OTA fails due to the custom recovery.
Any thoughts on what I might try differently to get ODIN to work?
Guys I had the same issue. What I did to resolve my issue is:
1. Get the Verizon upgrade assistance installed on your PC . Here's one from scoobysnack (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47368638&postcount=7&nocache=1&z=2813086102250963)
2. Boot to download mode
3. plug in USB and wait for the update message on your PC
4. Update should take about 30-40 min depending on your connection speeds.
5. once updated, your phone should boot back to normal, but you will LOSE everything and have to start all over.
Hope this helps.

Could you kindly copy a link to instructions for getting root with 4.3. I have been looking everywhere and nothing seems to be working. Not sure if I am doing something wrong. This is just a guess, but somewhat educated one. I would never take an OTA while running a modified ROM especially to try get back to a stock state. OTA are generally just patches not the whole system it most likely will cause major issues if not a soft or even worse a hard brick. I would go with the odin route for safety reasons but make sure you read all the directions and get the right images for your hardware model and maybe even the same baseband you were originally on before switching.
Lets see what other people think before you jump in...

Odin back to your the original firmware you were on before switching carries like the other person said. Your radio will be included in whatever full wipe Odin tar you use. How did you flash page plus? Did you just boot into download mode to do it?

You are on MK2. The last three characters of your build number tells you what firmware you are running, the last three under baseband version tells you what modem you have. This thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735172 was created for the NC5 wipe and no wipe Odin Tars but the poster was kind enough to include links to the MK2 tars as well. Make sure you click on where it says MK2 for your downloads and flash in Odin via the instructions in the post and you should be good. Backup whatever data you need as you are basically going to be factory reseting your phone to MK2 so if you need text messages/call logs/contacts/calendar stuff back it up cuz you're going to lose it.
