Hi all,
Note: This is only for jellybean roms.
First of all, check this link here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2079807&highlight=note
I have not tried this yet but if you read first post, it states it works with Original note.
I am going to try it when I have spare time mean while if anyone trys, let us know it works or not.
Cool-- talking someone else into risking their phone.
I tried install and run it. Looks like it works at setting but do not know how to activate it.
I guess nothing really risky since it is all through play store. At least nothing weird happen to my note. still trying to find how to use it.
Should put in title or at least first post that this is for Jelly Bean ROMs only.

I enabled apps and rebooted but no changes for me. I was expecting multi window icon in app like Note 10.1. Still not sure how to use it...
this is a multi-window manager
it manages the multi-window feature in tw based roms with that feature, nothing more nothing less.
there for it wont work on? thats right, roms without multi-window

After you get the latest Adobe flash player from the play store, go into your browser and hit menu> settings>advanced> enable flash and plug-ins.
Flash is set to off by default so change it to always on.

I know you are just trying to state the obvious, but thats already done.....in browsers that actually have that setting (not all have it). No ideaif Opera supports it as there is no setting for it. However, Boat has it. I dont see it anywhere in the stock browser settings like it was in GB. Its missing a few other settings as well.
But thanks

Ok...after I had gotten the Flash Downloader, the setting appeared in the Advanced Menu in the stock browser. Its already set to Always On.
Works for me in Dolphin.
Adobe stopped supporting flash for android so it might not be fully compatible with ICS.

It worked with ICS on my rezound and nexus just fine, and some people on the nexus forums say it can be installed even on jellybean. I think its just a matter of downloading the apk and side loading it by installing it with a file manager

Umm...because Adobe removed it from the play store just recently.
Adobe carries the android flash player on it's website. There is no reason to go to a seperate site. Also, if you go to the playstore, look into your account, and look in your apps, it is usually there as well. If it is already installed on the phone. No flames here... But, there is already a thread about problems, and issues with ICS. If you posted there instead of starting so many threads, people may not be as inclined to flame you. Really, just trying to be helpful. Otherwise, your handle here might cause people to react like they would in real life. "Oh No, its THE COPS".LOL

Thats the thing, I didnt see the thread. I searched for about 2 hours both on google and through XDA specifically for Flash Player not working after ICS update. I added Rezound because some phones just cant get it to work in ICS, like the Droid Razr Maxx. So its a wonder I missed that. Yes I poked through a lot of threads on xda that came up in search, but that one didnt. Its not like I didnt search.
Thanks for the reply JeramyEggs. Appreciated
And to Ashton, I appreciate the help. Just next time someone makes a few threads about Android problems, dont be rude like that. Its a good way to lose members in here. I know you are a respected member and a dev possibly and I just noticed you have been helping people out a lot. I'm sure you just got annoyed because you see it from other people often. Try and put yourself in a super frustrated and irritated persobs shoes who suddenly ran into problem after problem. No ones trying to break any posting records here, heck thats what that sticky at the top is for. I missed your post...simple mistake. I'm not going to get into rules, but I dont believe I was breaking any. I did operate as a moderator at 2 different smartphone forums for a few years so I know how it works. As for the Adobe Flash package, Im going to check Adobes site. If I dont it or have any issues then I will let you know about sending that.
I got it last night from the google play store but online trough the browser I downloaded/installed and is working without hiccups. I use dolphin

For somme reason it wasnt downloadingg it before so thatts why I was lookiing for an alternatttive download ocation. Damn F this...I cant typen here because there is EXTREME LAGGGG IN the typing noww..wat the hellk?k? wtf...its also double typing both characters on the samey..ugh..ridiculous ICS updatea!a!
I decided to leave the above reply of mine just to show how bad it was lagging on typing. I was not double typing. Thats like the worst I have seen in type lag since my Motorola Q9M......but anyway....im done with this post.
First off this is not my work! See thread HERE for download! I simply downloaded and tested it running ParanoidAndroid 2.5x. It should work on any AOSP/CM10 rom.
Instructions:
1. Download the 4.2Camera.zip.
2. Place the zip file on the root of your phone’s storage.
3. Reboot into your recovery.
4. Just in case, make a backup.
5. Flash the 4.2Camera.zip file. (No need to wipe anything)
6. Once installed, reboot your phone.
*Optional: Rename Gallery2.apk to something like Gallery2.apk.bak, or you'll have two Camera apps.
*You can revert back to stock camera by removing .bak from the gallery 2.apk and deleting galaxy4.apk
*Photosphere is not working yet.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is another camera for AOSP/CM10 based roms. It is basically a mod for the stock CM camera...it incorporates mores features similar to touchwiz such as the ability to save pics to ext. sd and burst shot. I tested it on the GN2 and it works perfect even tho its says for S3.

a little off topic, but have you or anyone tried bootmannager on the gn2?
edit>never mind, i did a litle research and it is not compatible with our phone
so, why wont this work on touchwiz? Only asking becuause I flashed the same 4.2 camara zip I used on my gnex on my buddys tmobile note 2 and it worked fine and so did panorama mode. I haven't tried it on my phone yet, just because I kind of forgot about it and the only reason would be panorama mode which is more of a gimmick than a need. The stock touchwiz camara is pretty sweet.
Also on the aosp 4.2 camara I had problems with all my pictures being blurry. I had to manually tap the screen to focus and or take 2 pics in rapic succession to get a clear one and then delete the blurry one. pita.
Thanks. I can test it out if you think its worth it.

the framework is normally different between touchwiz and aosp apps..but it might. make a nandroid flash it and report back!
Is it possible to make the default save location for photos the Sd card instead of internal memory? I didn't see it in the settings.

on the aosp mod it is but not the 4.2 cam. go into camera settings and scroll to the bottom.
to be honest, the only thing holding me back from flashing aosp roms are not wanting to lose the external sd card backup i have on twrp and gps issues, although i don't want to lose s pen really so it would be just to check it out. I am also not confident that once I flash cwm I will be able to go back to twrp easily.

Sorry, I didnt respond sooner. I flashed it and everything works fine exept for flash. If I have flash turned on it freezes and force closes. But photosphere works fine. Im not experienced enough to diagnose what is making the flash mess things up. Btw. Flash does turn on and stay on for about 5 seconds before it does a normal flash and fc's the app. Just to be clear for anyone reading this I am talking about the 4.2 camera that I already had from my galaxy nexus and not the one from this thread.
http://db.tt/GMD9WQKw here is a dropbox link to the file. Its not my work. I will try to figure out where I got it so i can give credit.
Tried to figure out where i got it (think it was android police) and the file seems to be available everywhere. Cant seem to pin it down and I dont see credit given on any of the posts or download links. So please forgive me. I tried.

Instagram and the phone crashes when you try to take a picture.
It has been doing this on the nightlies for over the last several months.
Anyone else notice this, does anyone care? I have uninstalled several times, no fix.
Can someone else please confirm this issue.
thanks
There is no fix .I heard instageam has to update to getnit fixed but maybe I'm wrong

Its because the CM drivers conflict with the camera. It has been discussed in a few threads and I don't recall a solution other than use another rom.
well if someone finds a fix with this release please let me know. this is my wifes phone and she is annoyed at me.

I'd love to be able to stop the 'warning' whenever I choose an application to run as the default option. Is there any way of doing that - specifically on TW-based ROMs, but if there's a consistent method that'll work on non-TW ROMs, that'd be cool too

Oh well, regardless of my lack of quality search tactics, thank you very much for the link!! :good:
Hello everyone,
I'm coming from a Galaxy S2 running ICS. When I would click to play a video from the default internet browser, I would get prompted for the video player. I'm assuming that it has something to do with flash compatibility? In any case, I really liked this behavior since I could choose MX player (stream) or Internet (download). This was very handy and I would love to be able to have that functionality on my new device.
I'm now using a Galaxy S4 running KitKat 4.4.2 and it seems that all videos play inline and I can't choose any other apps. Is there a way to get that functionality back?
Thanks for any insight you may have!
Nope. Android killed all flash plug-ins and apps are now made to play videos inline. Not to mention the option to download was breaking alot of rules.

You might be able to get around this by using outdated apks from before they started using the inbuilt browsers but be warned that if you download the videos google has the right to term you account. Other then that there is nothing you can do. Flash has been dead for a long time now.
