[Q] Omega Rom - how to uninstall Dropbox? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
Just installed the latest Omega Rom v43.
When I installed the ROM, I had Dropbox installed with it.
Now I realise because it was installed with the ROM, I cannot actually uninstall it like normal apps.
Any work around?
This integrated Dropbox always seem to link my Dropbox gallery into my phone gallery, which I want to stop.
Thanks

[Q] Install Stock ICS gapps on Samsung ROM (XXLPJ))

Hi,
I have put the latest ICS leak on my SGS2 which funny enough I find better and more stable than the official XXLPQ.
The only things I miss are the stock ICS apps such as the ICS calendar, stock Email for Exchange, stock dialer/people apps etc ... but I also kind of like Touchwizz launcher and would like to keep it.
I have downloaded the latest gapps but is it safe to flash these over a Samsung ROM and would it bring the stock ICS apps that I am after?
I have searched on the forum and found few threads about stock apps but not really what I am after.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Anyone can help for this?
I am trying to get the Email app from the CM9 ROM installed onto my LP3 stock Samsung ICS.
I have tried to copy Email.apk and Exchange.apk to /system/app but that doesn't work, the app is not visible under settings/applications...
I would love to get the stock ICS apps (sms, contacts, email, agenda) on the Samsung ROM (LP3) which I find very stable

[Q] No Google maps in ICS?

I've installed Rebelrom 3.0 and now 3.1 but in both versions I can't find google maps anywhere. No maps show up in the play store either.
I did install the Gapps file so what am I missing?
Strange it doesn't look like maps is included with that rom, simply download another lpq based rom that has maps in it, like foxhound, and copy it to the /system/app dir.
Or try the Android market .

I can hardly find anything on the market. With a direct link it keeps telling me the device in not compatible.
It's a shame because besides the missing apps the ROM is great.
Is there another ICS rom available that has none of the Samsung-look menus and compatible with Siyah kernels?
I've installed the HyDrOG3N-ICS rom and newest Gapps, works great so far. Play store works fine as well so except for the camera option I'm happy

[Q] GNote ROM (Seraphim/Stratosphere) - how to change theme back to standard gmail?

Just downloaded and installed the Galaxy Note ROM from TheCollective (Seraphim - Stratosphere). It's a nice ICS based ROM but I'm not feeling the GMail white on black theme. I find it very difficult to read and follow threads. Anyone know how you can get standard GMail theme running on this ROM? Is it just a matter of uninstalling from this ROM and then installing the normal GMail app?
Uninstall the app then install the one from Google Play.

Stock ICS Rom

Hi All,
Sorry in advance if I have either posted this in the wrong forum or if this question has been asked many times before (I have searched the forum).
I just got a Samsung Galaxy S III on T-Mobile UK. Previously I had the Orange San Francisco with CyanogenMod, the Nexus 1 with CyanogenMod and an Archos 101G9 with stock ICS.
I rooted the device fine and then started to uninstall some apps which were pre-installed using the app removal tool within Titanium Backup. I then noticed that many of the stock android apps like calendar and email were not there. Instead, there is different email app and a calendar app called 'S Planner'.
I then installed the Omega Rom which had less apps which were pre-installed but I still had the problem were the basic google apps like email and calendar were still not there. I also noticed that the normal android sounds and keyboard were not part of this Rom.
I there a rom out there for my phone which is just basic android ICS? The less apps pre-installed, the better. Is CyanogenMod9 stable enough? The reason I like CyanogenMod is that they provide a list of the APKs which can safely be removed.
Thanks,
Dan
What about the blackstar aosp rom?

No Google search for GB anymore? :(

Greetings all, I'm having Xperia Neo rooted running GB 2.3.4. I just recently flashed my GB 2.3.4 and as usual got stock rom Google apps including play store, gmail, google search etc.
In stock rom, google search has older version, obviously, where its GUI is not that good and I remember that I had updated it when I haven't flashed or rooted and that GUI was so smooth and sleek. It was full white and bright than this older version came with stock. So I thought to update it from market manually. When I went to market, saw google search app but, Market says, only for android 4.1 and up oh Google, why so? what about GB users then dear? If suppose, I had not had stock .apk of google search and I wanted it from market only then unknown download, I could not have it on my phone only. Google search is most imp app, obviously. But why google did so? This is very disgraceful. Tell your views.

It says on the page you linked to that it is because it includes "google now" and that only works on latest version of android.
You can still use the standard search bar included by most manufacturers though.

I noticed that as well, they could have left the old version on Google Play as well. Most devices come with it preloaded but there were updates to the app that you can't get now unless you sideload the apk. You can get it here:
