don't use clockwork, use the amon recovery.
Use among ra recovery. Other that, how long have you let it sit at that screen? Sometimes it takes several minutes, just be patient.
Also, what rom, and are you on the new leaked firmware?
I could remote into team viewer on your computer and flash amon ra recovery on your phone and walk you through installing a Rom and kernel for you if you want.
But to properly wipe, it should be data, cache, dalvic cache, and system

that thread helped me alot, do lots of reading before you flash anything. also make sure you have the correct kernel for the rom your using.
i have tried using amon recovery and i get the same result.... i have let it sit for about 10 mins and nothing happens... im trying to flash scottsrom ics.. the latest one....

he doesn't need to be on the leaked ruu to use the ics roms. he can flash the old firmware patch too.
I have tried to find the leak ruu but I don't know where to find it and how to install it. I was reading about it earlier but I'm still a little iffy on how to do it ..

just be aware if you use it, your hboot will say "tampered" and you cannot roll back to GB firmware. if your new to this, id do alot of reading before attempting it. if you want a good GB based rom look into chingy's rom.

He can so that but its not supported by Scott so if he has any problems he wont get help.
Just because you are against flashing the leaked firmware doesn't make it bad.
To the OP, if you are uncomfortable with relocking your phone to flash the new firmware I would try one of the gb roms. The update for ICS should be anyday now.

he can also use rezrom which supports the old firmware with a patch. and we have no clue when the ota will be out. i never told him not to flash the ruu but if he doesn't know what he is doing i recommend he reads up alot. stop trying to contradict everything i say in every thread, it's getting annoying.

Okay so I downloaded clean rom 4.3 and I moved it to the sd card. When I try to flash the ph98img it says opening install script then installation aborted?? Help
You don't flash that in recovery. You flash it at the bootloader. Read the instructions that are provided in the OP
How do I flash it in bootloader

Ok..read the OP. You gotta wipe...flash..then flash old firmware patch...then go to developer options and reboot to boot loader...hit the power button and follow directions.

Did you or did you not run the leaked ICS RUU. You would know if you did, its pretty hard to do it on accident.
No clean rom is the only ics thing I downloaded. I'm trying to get a rom so I can use my device but it always sticks to htc screen when I try to power it on
No problems in bootloader
I've never ran ics

Boot to recovery, flash Scott's clean wipe tool, then flash clean Rom. Make sure it is on ur external Sd card and not ur internal. Then it will reboot u automatically to the bootloader, just hit power and u are done.

THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH! My phone is working now. I really appreciate your guys help. Thanks so much!

Can't boot any new flashed roms. Only restore works.

Can anyone help?
I'm not a noob, I've been flashing for years but I can't seem to get any Roms I flash to boot after. I just get stuck at the disclaimer boot screen. It stays there, no boot up.
Things I've tried, waiting of course for 10+ mins. Moving the Rom zips to internal sd then flashing. And redownloading the roms and trying again. Roms I've tried are, Meanrom and stock w Sony bravia engine.
Really sucks I can't figure out why I can't boot any new Rom flashes. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm having this exact issue. Rooted and flashed a couple of ROMs. Backed one up and now I can't boot into any new ROMs, even stock ROMs. They flash fine in recovery but do not pass the HTC disclaimer screen.
Did you by chance select Factory Reset from bootloader with TWRP installed? When I do that it reboots into recovery and cannot mount internal storage. When I try to mount internal storage to my PC through USB it says SD is corrupt and I must format. I have a suspicion that has something to do with not being able to boot new ROMs.
Have you tried to RUU? I've tried just to see if I can get my phone to boot into anything, but I get an error updating signature. Signarure (sic) Error 132.
Something I haven't tried yet would be to flash a ROM and make a nandroid before first boot, then try restoring it to see if it boots. Might be crazy enough to work.
Please post if you manage to solve this annoying soft brick!

Use 4EXT, it won't boot without the kernel, which CWM can't flash, since I'm pretty sure you don't have s-off, am I right or am I right?
You can always flash the kernel manually if you prefer to stick to cwm.

Once you can access hboot/fastboot the tool will work fine.
Kindly spend some time to read the amaze bible thread, I have no clue why you'd be searching for the info/tools that are all available in the dev forum, I also wonder how you got rooted/cwm but you're unsure how to use hasoon's tool.

Nope, you don't need s-off to do so, it just makes it easier, you can use 4EXT, if for some reason 4EXT can't flash it, then you can use Hasoon's tool or go all the way by getting down and dirty with adb to flash it manually.
