(Request) Radio Hard Reset dna specific - HTC Droid DNA

Is it possible that somebody who knows about epst.apk give us a hand with a tutorial for radio hard reset and prl update dna specific. It seems tutorials for Evo and other htc devices do not work with dna.
There is a lot of returned phones to vzw just because issues related to radio and it seems just a prl update would fix them.

Don't SIM cards auto update the prl?

What benefit is to be gained by a PRL update? I thought that concept went away when LTE came along.

Sprint to Verizon flash

I recently flashed my EVO 3d from Sprint to Verizon. While rooting the phone I forgot to backup my nanodroid. I installed a ROM that at the time I didn't know it didn't work with s-on. I thought I soft bricked it. I paniced and I installed the latest RUU. Doing that took my Verizon off the phone and I had to get it reflashed. My question is if I change Roms which I tend to do every two weeks will that take my Verizon flash off my phone.
Sent from my PG86100 using xda app-developers app
You changed the ESN of your verizon phone to your Evo3d? That what your saying?
When you flash the new rom no you won't loose the carrier flash you will only lose the mms and web setting only if you change the prl u will lose the carrier flash

You can absolutely change roms, you just have to go and edit the mms and 3g settings after.
How do you do that?

However you changed it in the first place to get it to work on Verizon.
So the answer is no I can't change Roms. Im trying to avoid having to do the Verizon thing again because they gonna charge me .

Again, you can ABSOLUTELY change roms, you just have to redo your 3g and mms settings after. It should literally take you about 1 minute. Just write down the settings you have now.

Charge you for what? If you're already flashed to Verizon, then you are paying verizon, correct?
I didn't do the 3g and mms settings. Where and how do I adjust them?
Sent from my PG86100 using xda app-developers app
Okay you can change roms but regardless if your switching from sprint to verizon your gonna have to change the mms and Web setting because each carrier had specified Inet and picture setting there's no wary to avoid this unless you look for an APN file for each carrier and just enable it when you switch roms or carriers
But there is no way you won't have to change the setting when you flash to a new carrier every 2 weeks just google APN setting Verizon or sprint using the model type of phone and then use APN back up and restore to modify mms and Web but do it research first or else u will end up with neither of the 2 good luck

are you in a sprint service area? try rebooting the phone. find a good spot where you should have the signal and hope for the best! if you get a signal dial *228 to activate it.
http://www.everythingwm.com/forum/threads/sprint-signal.9891/
Couldn't hurt.
Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk 2
Try this
Go to dialer and type *#*#4636#*#*
Go to phone settings and try different settings aside from cdma auto (eg cdma only or evdo only) and then reboot it in that setting
Once rebooted switch back to cdma auto and see if your fixed.
If that doesn't work you can manually change prl
So mess around in these setting and a solution should be there.

No i had it for awhile at first it said failed to boot 4 and so i fixed it with this method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1798145
And thats how i was abke to fix it i flashed all the stuff it asked to and now it says no service but better than being brick is there anything i can flash to be able to get it to work on sprint towers

Uhhh, if you know the esn number from some other form: tools like cdma workshop cam help you restore it. The only thing is not even stores have this software so you will just have to search around for esn editor. WARNING tools like this can be seen as illegal because tools like this can be used to duplicate phone identities.

Just to be clear as this can be a little tricky
1 flash full electrify sbf via rsd
2 flash 2.3.5_254_13 sv2 boot, recovery and cdrom image sbf via rsd from here
3 root
4 install bootstrap recovery
5 install stock locked rom 254_12 or higher via bootstrap
if you are still getting no service try step 6
6 install photon radio via bootstrap
if these steps are follow all should be well
is your wifi functioning?

Got a random firmware update this morning....

This morning while I was simply just surfing YouTube I got a prompt asking me to start downloading a firmware update. I accepted and let it download but have no idea what it is. It's a 228 mb file. When it finished downloading nothing happened. Went to the AT&T Software Update menu and it says "Continue Update" but when I hit it nothing happens. Anyone have a clue? Could it be the 1.29 update?

That's what I'm saying. I couldnt even get any info on what the update was. But it's a pretty big file. Hopefully it doesn't prevent the HTC Dev Unlock because we are dealing with AT&T.

The prevention of Dev Unlock is totally on HTC. Unless AT&T is pushing a new Hboot, which MIGHT block it, but it is easier for AT&T to contact HTC and tell them to block the AT&T phones from the procedure.
Yeah you're right I was a little paranoid because I didn't want another HTC One X situation. I rooted and rommed my other One but haven't done this one so I guess I can just test it out and see what happens. And btw, do you know what the current hboot is right now?

I guess they are breaking the update into parts to make it easier?

At&T did something similar when the LGOG finally updated to Jellybean. The update wasn't that big, but they rolled out a "patch" via OT then a week later JellyBean.
I'm curious to see if this is real and what it does!

I just really hope it doesn't prevent any of my rooting or romming capabilities. What I will do is try it out after work tonight at let you know if I can still unlock bootloader and root. But I'm just so confused. The installation took FOREVER. Just to see no change. I really hope it's just a prep for 4.2

Htc dlx 6435lra

I would like to know the difference between my phone and a DNA. The model number is 6435lra and the build is 2.03.557 release keys. I've asked this repeatedly on different forums, but none reply.

Same here. I tried to find your model with a quick Google search, and nothing came up. It could be fairly similar, or different enough where our unlock and s-off methods would brick your device. ROMs may have the same outcome.

When I first got this device, I read a forum on Android central that pushed me towards using the butterfly version of twrp. It didn't work so I tried the dna file and it worked perfectly. I know the 2 phones share some of the same numbers, like the hoot and a couple more. Also I seen on a cyanogenmod 10.2 screen shot, that it uses the same kernel numbers 3.4.10 I think.

Got cm10.2 installed!! Everything is working. I really like it so far. I thought I was stuck in a bootloop for a minute. Everything loaded fine after initial boot. I brushed through the screens and checked the software version and went back home. From there I selected reboot and it got hung up on like the second HTC screen. I waited like five minutes and nothing happened. So I held the power button down and the home screen popped up. Maybe I just didn't wait long enough. Everything I use frequently is working fine.

the htc 6435lra is the model number for the htc deluxe
The HTC deluxe is an exact clone of the DNA with the exception that its not made for Verizon(it says HTC above the screen not Verizon) it also has been "repackaged" for use the with the local cellular service provider Cellcom of Wisconsin(now I know where you live )
It basically has different drivers(maybe hardware, probably not) than the DNA and should be treated as a GSM DNA
(No CDMA builds)

They must be part the LTE Rural America (LRA) agreement as well. The local/small carriers put up Verizon LTE sites and they get some roaming benefits. That's why the spec number was 6435lra instead of 6435lvw.
Cool, I didn't really know what LRA was, I assumed the r and a were for regional appalachian. I'm pretty sure the phone is cdma because I don't have any of the GSM modes selected in settings.
