This morning while I was simply just surfing YouTube I got a prompt asking me to start downloading a firmware update. I accepted and let it download but have no idea what it is. It's a 228 mb file. When it finished downloading nothing happened. Went to the AT&T Software Update menu and it says "Continue Update" but when I hit it nothing happens. Anyone have a clue? Could it be the 1.29 update?

That's what I'm saying. I couldnt even get any info on what the update was. But it's a pretty big file. Hopefully it doesn't prevent the HTC Dev Unlock because we are dealing with AT&T.

The prevention of Dev Unlock is totally on HTC. Unless AT&T is pushing a new Hboot, which MIGHT block it, but it is easier for AT&T to contact HTC and tell them to block the AT&T phones from the procedure.
Yeah you're right I was a little paranoid because I didn't want another HTC One X situation. I rooted and rommed my other One but haven't done this one so I guess I can just test it out and see what happens. And btw, do you know what the current hboot is right now?

I read the other day that a similar update hit the international version and it is believed to be a prep update for 4.2.2
I guess they are breaking the update into parts to make it easier?

Never heard about that. Could be true. Checked the hboot and it has not changed. I've seen literally no changes. It's just kind of puzzling. For such a big file how could it not do anything?

I just did a check for update on my AT&T one, and nothing found.
I am stock rooted though so not sure if that is an issue
Just checked in Iowa on both my ones and nada

At&T did something similar when the LGOG finally updated to Jellybean. The update wasn't that big, but they rolled out a "patch" via OT then a week later JellyBean.
I'm curious to see if this is real and what it does!

Hmmmm...... No update in Southeast Texas either....... Maybe we're all not special!
I just really hope it doesn't prevent any of my rooting or romming capabilities. What I will do is try it out after work tonight at let you know if I can still unlock bootloader and root. But I'm just so confused. The installation took FOREVER. Just to see no change. I really hope it's just a prep for 4.2

Ever since I've gotten my one there's been like 3 updates some people have gotten and I havent had a single one. Am I alone here or is there others like me?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
I've gotten one update for the media link but nothing else
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Besides the media link there hasn't been an update for the AT&T model. There was supposedly an update but one person reported seeing it on xda so probably an accidental quickly pulled release.

Well if your phone is already on v1.26.502.10 then there's nothing to update. What version do you have? And keep in mind there are people on here with the developer edition, which is on a totally different update schedule.
That's what I'm on now. I've been on Samsung phones for like 3-4 years now. Waiting for updates is something I'm used to.

Lol... It better be. I'm just so impatient for updates, but far too scared to root and install custom Rom while being locked into a two year contract and risk ruining my device and having to spend a bunch of money! D: but yeah... Ill be waiting. And checking every five minutes. Haha

Sounds like it's been there for a couple days. I read the same thing off the HTC site. This means nothing to us because Verizon is super lame!

This could be the flu talking but, who knows.. Maybe all the backlash was actually heard at how ridiculous their update process is at Verizon.. I mean, we did just get a pretty big update.. and this already starting? You never know...
I'm surprised they are even still updating the phone its beyond a year and usually Verizon stops so we are forced to buy the latest and greatest device, unless you unlock and flash custom roms.

Will this ROM work on AT&T? I've been thinking about test driving their network and am in my research phase.

Knowing Verizon, we most likely won't even get the update until We're almost through the year. So don't get too hyped up about it. We'll be lucky if we even get it in the next 3 months.

I have been tweeting Jason Mackenzie President at HTC, and he responded last night to expect the update by end of next week. I wish I knew how to paste twitter threads.
Ugh, nevermind. I guess he was confused and thought we were asking about HTCOne. Waiting for him to reply about DNA. So scratch what I said. Sorry.

Lucky. I asked him why the DNA got pushed back to "integration" no response
Checking his feed for news or responses and Verizon was the second to approve the One update. Now for HTC to make the DNA 4.4 that can go through approval... Which by history, I'd say might never happen given the age of the device compared to the One.
