Hi, I am trying to find a thread regarding an issue with the browser but I can't find... Does the Internet browser reloads the pages each time you switch between then? Or it has been fixed? Sorry for the basic question, but I couldn't find if this persists until today.
Come on guys, help me decide if I buy this device. I really want it, more than the One, but just wanna know if it continues to reload the web pages. Can someone just reply " yes, it does reload every time you switch the tabs" or "no, it has been fixed"
Buy it and find out.

I am from Brazil and unfortunately we don't have HTC devices here. I've already bought 5 devices from Clove in the last 5 years and now I'm planning an upgrade. My problem is that I don't have a local store where I can check this information, otherwise I would already have my answer.
My HTC One S has Sense 4+ but it reloads all tabs when switching between them, even when I kill the other apps. I was wondering if this was solved in One X+ since we are in 2013 and I prefer sense 4+ over sense 5.
But if you can't help or don't wanna do, I don't know why you bothered to write just to be rude with someone who is seeking for help.
I really want that when you pose a question to others that they solve it without being as rude as you are.

Sad... Some load instantly and some reload. Download a different browser if this is a major concern. If this is a major concern for you, you will hate this phone.

Stock browser does reload on a stock Rom but with a rooted rom and a couple scripts for multitasking and the problem not longer exists for stock browser apps games anything. This phone is a beast its a shame most people won't get to experience it though as not everyone roots

Thanks man, and which rom do you suggest that maintains sense 4+ but solves the multitasking issue?
is there any fix for this on a stock ROM? The reloading drives me up a wall, and is a huge waste of my precious cell data.
As carny said the chrome browser works really fine and the tabs don't reload, so the problem is not with the 1 gb ram, as we can also see in the galaxy s 3 browser that doesn't reloads even with the 1gb ram. The problem is with the stock browser. I know we can use other browser but I think the stock one is the only that can load flash.

lag issues? i'm not familiar with blade buddy or that touch screen app for galaxy.
i haven't done anything *too* intensive on the phone but i have rarely experience any type of lag on this device. the lack of lagging has been very impressive to me.
if you are on the stock ROM and kernel and still experiecing lag, based on my personal experience, you might want to look into taking it back for an exchange as it could be a hardware issue.
if you don't experience the lag on a stock ROM and kernel, it might be whatever custom ROM or kernel you're using has an issue or bug. if you're on a custom ROM/kernel, also good to check in those specific threads to see if anybody else has reported a similar issue so the dev knows to look into it and resolve.
hope that helps!
Yea when I first got the phone the xda east major laggy and that's before I rooted so I guess I need to take it back then cuz this sucks...since I rooted its been flawless but couple days later the lag would come back and now my screen is becoming unresponsive at time for like 2-3 secs!!!

yea. as a last resort test, i'd flash everything back to stock and run it for a day. see if its still laggy. if it is still laggy, find good examples of when it lags so when you take it back, you can show the person how laggy it is through the examples.
hopefully you can swap out for a device w/no issues!

lol yea, given the unknown area rooting a device currently sits from a legal standpoint, i'd avoid anything related to rooting the device as a prime example.
ideally, if you're experiencing lag on the device, it will occur frequently in common tasks like making/ending a phone call or moving between text messages or moving between menus in the settings screen, etc. it makes the best case for having an issue when you're able to demonstrate it lags during normal routine operations.
hope that helps!

hah yea. working on mainly two small apps on the market, root check and flashimagegui. pondering publishing the completely stock ROM with root, busybox and some developer tools i use on my personal device (as I did publish this on the evo and it was decently popular - might be where you saw my name). also, trying to help out (give back) in the q&a boards when i can!
if you find some good common tasks which cause the device to lag, post them back here as people with the same or similar issues might find this thread through searching and it'll give them some rough benchmark to compare against.
i've yet to see this device lag through any common tasks i run. previous android phones ive had would experience lag so this device has definitely impressed me!

Hello,
i have a problem with my EVO 3D, i bought it 1 week ago and i just cant stand the lagging in the app drawer and in the browser.
I have tried to install other themes and other browsers, but it didnt help, i did a factory reset but it didn't help neither.
I've ran Linpack many times and saw something annoying:
When i run "Single-Thread", i get around 45MFlops.
But when u run "Multi-Thread" i get around 32MFlops!
I really dont know what to do next, it is very annoying, please help.
Get rid of sense.

Let me guess. Sense 3.5. Totally different case. Sense 3.0 is always laggy. Except on eternity.

If you want to stay close to stock then get a custom ROM that is using the latest OTA updates and latest stock kernel. It runs very well overall. I still think custom ROMs and kernel have a lot better things going for them, but this was a very nice release from HTC no denying that.

I moved all my apps to the sd card and that helped reduce Rosie's lag. Which I noticed immediately after purchasing the evo, AFTER I installed my apps. Moving them to SD helped speed everything up(Rosie). Also, try editing build.prop to force the launcher into memory, also helped.
Just finished watching the livestream of the Facebook Home announcement. It was mentioned that FB Home would be coming to several devices on April 12th, including HTC One, One X, One X+, GS3, GS4, and Note 2. It seems to be basically a launcher replacement/UI. They also said it would be coming to Tablets in several months. So I was curious what DNA users think. Do you care? Should we feel left out? Do you want FB Home? Do you think we will get it? When?
People who don't like FB at all, don't bother posting. You don't need it and it won't be pushed on anybody. Hopefully this thread will be for FB/DNA users who are interested in discussing FB Home.
I think it looks interesting but I actually like Sense a lot so I'm concerned about how well it will integrate and whether we will lose out on a lot of features we have come to rely upon, like widgets, etc.
I am getting it one the 12th. It looks pretty slick.

Even for people who are not on FB, it is generally a good thing for the Android ecosystem because, at least for now, it could be driving users towards Android who would otherwise be buying iPhones.
I use FB several times/day, but I don't think I would want this simply because it will take a lot of why I like the android platform away from me, namely, freedom. The UI of FB home doesn't look half bad, but unless you want to be forced to have your phone revolve around FB then you might instead like any one of the hundreds of other launchers currently available from the play store.
Not to mention that it took FB several months to work out some of the more basic bugs from its first android app.
This honestly smells of desperation to overcome FB's member boredom. Google could easily also make a launcher for Google+, or MySpace or Twitter could, and I'd feel the same way. It's pretty bold of FB...
Oh, and His Zuckness also wants to run ADS on the launcher as well.

It's not on iSh*t because it sucks.
If this improves the Facebook experience on Android I'm all for it.. The Facebook app has improved greatly, but compared to other apps, it's not good at all.. I'm always dealing with "loading" ... and "No internet connection" .. constant issues with the application.. We shall see what this does!!
Message
All Im really interested in is the messaging functionality, that was interesting, and maybe the lockscreen, If I could cherry pick aspects of fb home that would be nice, as a whole however I'm not that interested.
I'm always on facebook. That said, this is probably gonna suck given the track record with their FB app. I'd try it if it came to the DNA.

+1 This makes tons of sense. I wouldn't mind certain aspects running in the background I'm just not sure I want it to take over the home screen ui.

Modaco's should work if you are rooted and remove the apk from /system/app.
I'm stock OTA so it tells me the signature exists as facebook came with my phone
The hacked version does work on the DNA its a pretty neat launcher if you are really that into wanting a face book phone. Sucks up data fast for those on limited data plans so make sure to check the settings. Not the best launcher, for ease of use, but it is sure different. The future of launchers could be a good start.

I have compiled 82 system apps that I have frozen via titanium backup pro, I have risked a lot with my 600$ device and guinea pigged myself as a test subject ,for the greater cause .Of course I do have plenty nandroid backups if anything were to have gone wrong .As of now there are no know issues, force closes, etc....force closes are common when u freeze the wrong app, just for future reference !Also some force closes render the phone helpless unless you do a battery pull..in which the HTC one dorsnt have a battery to pull.
So as far as my compiled list is concerned it Is safe for everyone to use.
Everything works as should. You can choose to safely freeze whichever of the 82 apps/apks you prefer to. Feel free to add any apps you have also tested to be safe to freeze .
This greatly helps reduce lag , free up ram and and may even provide better battery life ,due to android os that sometimes has many system apps... that we don't know what they do exactly but many greatly affect our battery life because they unnecessarily run in the background and drain batter and the majority of them we never use .
This is the list freeze as many or as little as you desire to.
Every one check marked indicates it's safe to freeze .
NOTE: DO NOT DELETE/REMOVE ANY OF THESE APPS IN TITANIUM BACKUP UNLESS YOU POSITIVELY HAVE A NANDROID BACKUP IN cwm or twrp RECOVERY.I AM ONLY PROVIDING INFO ON "FREEZING APPS" "NOT DELETING".
I WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY OR FEEL OBLIGATED TOO...FOR THE LACK OF FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS POSTED .
Please leave feedback with your observations towards any improvements or issues if any that you may experience.

Well, this list is very subjective. Alot of what you froze alot of people actually use. Like street view...document viewer...the remote app...among others. From looking at what you diabled it seems all you want to do is make calls and text lol.
THIS IS ABOUT WHAT CAN BE FROZEN WITHOUT ANY SYSTEM ISSUES OR FORCE CLOSES .
If you want to unappreciated that's fine too.
Obviously I have takin the freezing to an extreme,it's called freezing as many apps as possible that DONT AFFECT SYSTEM FUNCTION IN A NEGATIVE MANOR.There are many I'm sure who don't use these apps and would find It fine to do so ....and only care about speeding up there device ...I have done no wrong ..infact if anything I've answered possible questions in the future on if them apps can be frozen ....maybe there are people who would want the most possible options .So it is up to whomever to pick and choose what they want to freeze from the list. All I have done was made It clear that if they want to take it to the extreme ,all these system apps and apks are safe to freeze with no issues .

Have an HTC One coming next week and the idea of being able to replace it with stock Android makes it potentially much sweeter. I love the Nexus 4 performance and it does everything I want but I can't get over how nice the One is every time I hold it so I had to pick one up to try it out as my daily driver. Had a One X awhile back running Viper ROM which was very nice so I would imagine I can just run with the stock Sense until stock Android is available. Saves me from buying the Googled version of the One if HTC will be providing an update.
I could never give up Highlights & Zoe.
I'm fine with Sense. Just need root and I can do whatever I need.
