Im using JackpotClavin's CyanogenMod 10.1, did the following changes to build.prop using BuildProp Editor from the Playstore:
ro.product.model=GT-I9300
ro.product.name=m0xx
ro.product.device=m0
then reboot device and clear data from play store
Download from there latest Facebook and facebook messenger and then on facebook app, go to Account > App Settings > Tick "Enable Facebook Home" box
If you live in america, you should be able to download it from there, but if you dont, like me, you can get it from here: (thanks to dancolin for posting that link on this thread.

Cool. But the download link to the Android Market doesn't work with a build.prop string:
Code:
ro.build.fingerprint=dell/streak/8x50:2.2.2/FRG83G/eng

@nickshertzer
Well i tried installing on my Dell Venue and it was successfully installed :

Fantastic! Much easier then f-ing around with masquerading as the Nexus One by editing a fingerprint.
Thanks!
works on my SimpleStreak!..great..Nick and Jitin!
...meh
I really like the concept of this app. They need to have more built in scenes, but a few are pretty good. The notifications support IM, GMail, Twitter, and Facebook.
You can add your own scenes for notification, be it an image or movie file. And of course customize it with your own notify tones.
However, because of the battery effect it was having on my phone and the lack of support for more notification types (eMail, Google Voice, GTalk), I have uninstalled already
You know a year or so ago google updated the market to include music movies and some more bs that i never wanted on my phone (and a terrible icon). I found out that if you remove all read write permissions from /system/app/marketupdater.apk and then uninstall all market updates you wouldn't have to use the play store but you could always enjoy the android market the way nature intended.
Next you made google + and and forced us to use it if we wanted to review apps. No problem once a month I make a google account make all my reviews and then delete it.
Now you go off and install this app on my phones and then when I delete it it comes right back like jason. Guess what....... wait for it.... I figured out a way to stop it ( wish there was a smiley face with a middle finger). Any ways lol here it is
Okay so the first thing you need to download this apk here
uninstall google play services
Then either put it on you sdcard and install it or adb install it simple done
If your wondering what it is it's simple it's a package with the same package name as the the google play services no main activity or anything
If you like this hit thanks and if you have some mirrors thanks.
Video here http://youtu.be/qzVpoMXoApc
P.S Youtube does work make sure that you uncheck automatic updates from all google products so they can't fix this also probably a good idea to resign the google play apk so that it can't do automatic updates anymore
P.P.S go here for an original android market that doesn't update just minds it's own and delivers apps
Smiley like this

Now you can reply (not create) from your watch! You do not need an input device (ie minuum) to use it, but the reason for this thread is that you CAN use it with minuum to reply to texts. :good:

you must install from ADB not playstore
Btw, you can also create new messages with your Watch.
You have to install the Wear Mini Launcher and then start wear messenger and you're able to write new messages. The only problem is that you have to know the number of the contact you want to write^^
Another "problem" is that you only can reply and write SMS. You have to install the messenger bridge of the same dev to get the ability to answer to your Whatsapp messages. It will convert the whatsapp message into a sms with a prefix and convert it back to be sent via whatsapp.
Actually the dev works on the support of the latest whatsapp version. The Update will be live today or tomorrow he told me.
Does anyone know how to cancel a message once started? I couldn't do it and the only way out of the app was to send it (which I didn't want to do).
well all know about adaway which block ads in rooted device
but some user like me face problem that ad blocker not working in
custom rom android 7.x.x or official miui rom so here is the solution...
first download the latest version of adways from here
then of it and grant super su permission (if you use magisk the enable system less host in magisk manager setting)
now in adway app upper right coner 3 dots- Hosts sources
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
add these 3 extra link there for more host links one by one
HTML:
https://easylist-downloads.adblockplus.org/easylist.txt
http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.txt
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/StevenBlack/hosts/master/alternates/fakenews-gambling-porn-social/hosts
Now save it and go back in 3 dots select YOUR LISTS
then again 3 dots import all list and select this download file (extract it using any unziper)
now you can see like this image
now go back and hit DOWNLOAD FILES AND APPLY AD BLOCKING
NOTE
if you still faceing problem that ads are showing in some add or some apps unable to connect then do this as shown in video
if you want to remove add then select black list and if want to connect app if facing no connection problem then add to whitelist
video link
i am not responsible for anything happen with you or your mobile during applying this method
nor any link or apps belongs
Hit like if i help

I cannot find it elsewhere in MediaPad M5 8.4?
The Facebook app layout doesn't play well with the M5 8.4 resolution, ratio and DPI out of the box. If you go into the tablet "Settings" and go to "Display" and change to "View Mode" to "Small", you should see the Facebook app renders better, along with displaying its own "Settings" icon. You may have to clear the Facebook app cache to get it to display.
I had the same problem on the 10.5 version. The solution that @mroshaw has posted , works for me since I've purchased the tablet.
