Hi Everyone,
Today morning I got the WP 7.8 update and in the 3rd update, the phone got stuck. When I cancel the update and restart the pone, now it shows Nokia screen and stay there. Nothing else happens.
What is the solution?
It is not getting connected to the Zune player even.
If you made a backup you can press and hold the camera button and press the on off button but keep the camera button pressed, you will see a picture to restore, connect phone to pc and run Zune, now you should be able to restore the backup.
If that ain't working read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457341

Hello,
Recently the three physical buttons on my xperia x10 mini (not pro) stopped working. The phone is on, the touchscreen works but i'm currently stucked at the sms screen and can't go back nor press home.
It happenned when i was turning the phone on to send a quick text. I was quite impatient at the phone's loading time and pressed several buttons as soon as the OS loaded.
My phone is a E10i and the OS is up to date (2.1 or something, autoupdate via PC Companion). It is rooted and I also modified the robyn file under system/user/keyboard.layout (or something) to map a button to end a call (never worked actually).
I will try to wait until battery dies and connect the phone to my PC while holding 'back' in order to repair it with PC Companion, but I was wondering if any of you ever experienced the same thing and if anyone might have another solution.
Thanks,
Dorian
Do you try the force method with Seus ?
OK, solved.
I've just read about the home+back+power combination to reset the phone but somehow I couldn't get it to go in restore mode (with the green LED). I've finally managed to do it by just connecting the phone, resetting it with the three buttons combo and release all.
Then update via UpdateService and everything's working fine.

The home+back+power combination is the force method.
Happy it works
Yesterday I rooted my LG Optimus L9 using LGpwn tool, after that it worked just fine.
This morning I tried to install ClockworkMod Recovery. Using this post. It explains how to download and install CWM Recovery from app that you downloaded in form of APK.
This method did not work 100%, but I was able to reboot normally, so in post it said that sometimes it does not work and you need to download and use Busybox installer Link to busyboxx.
After this I managed to boot in too CWM using app from mentioned thread.
Then problem occurred. After I saw CWM was working I selected reboot device option.
Except now when it started to boot it stops right after Second LG logo (First is static one second one is animated).
I get white screen with "Encrypting" on top and gray line. And one Reset Phone button. IMG they are Dropbox links.
This is followed with Error : Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped. IMG
I am able to boot in too CWM and I have tried flashing something like Cyanogenmod but I get error Status 7. Tried removing line that checks model, no use.
Tried clearing every cache and fixing permissions, nothing. Formatted everything still no use.
Dear XDA community That you in advance.
I fixed my phone by going into SW upgrade mode, and using the Upgrade Recovery function of the LG Software Update tool or whatever. Be sure you don't have any http servers open
Sent from my LG-P769 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I got the same problem, but when I try to access to SW mode and connect to LG Software Update tool to restore my phone, the phone keep disconnect and the phone screen will turn off, so I fail to restore my phone, I have already re-install the USB driver and changed a several USB cable but the problem still, but I tried to restore my phone with SW upgrade method since last night and is was OK, can anyone help me?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Problem Solve Finally, the solution is I plug the battery back to the phone after access to LGMobile Support Tool, and after finish the restore process, the phone will restart but keep boot loop, then I perform the hard reset (Remove the Battery and insert it after few seconds. And now do the 3 button HARD RESET. First press VOLUMEDOWN and HOMEbutton. Then Press Power button only for 3 seconds and release power button but dont release VolDown and Home button and KEEP BOTH PRESSING until you see a Bigger Green Standing Android and circulating Molecular structure above it. DONE! ), then the phone begin work~~~

Hi - I've been running win10 preview on the 920 for a while now. Decided to go back to Win8.1. Loaded up the Windows Phone Recovery tool, and the phone was picked up OK. I selected to restore phone, it downloaded the 1.5gb FFU and started the restore. Pretty early in the process the Recovery Tool came up saying it lost connection with the phone, and to disconnect and try again. At the time, the phone has a reddish background with NOKIA and a progress bar on it with no progress made. I powered off the phone and wanted to try again. At this stage, the phone would not turn on.
I have tried the following:
- reset by holding down vol down/power
reset by holding down vol up/down/power/camera
restoring phone through Windows Phone recovery tool - however it tells me the phone is not connected.
restoring the image that got downloaded for rm-821 through the Nokia Care suite - again it says that the phone is not connected.
restoring the phone with nokia suite - however this says the phone is not supported.
I'm at a bit of a loss as to what I can try to get the phone going? Holding down vol down/power for 2min+ does not vibrate the phone like it used to. Windows's USB storage indicator on taskbar however shows up when I connect the phone, and when I hold down vol down/power it does seem to turn off/ and on again after about 15 seconds. But that's the only sign of life I'm getting - nothing on screen, no lights, no vibrations.
Ideas?
Cheers!
Hello Folks, I have CAT S50 phone and yesterday I uncheck the option for NFC in Settings, because I'm not using NFC. Then I saw that there is an update for my Android and I decided to do this update. The whole process goes fine, then the phone restarts and when load for first time after upgrade I get error that the NFC service stops working. The only option to select is OK and then again the same message - NFC service stops working and the phone can't start. I shut down the phone with button combination (power + volume up/down) then I tryed to enter the recovery menu, with power and volume uo/down and nothing, the phone starts and get the service error. The phone works perfect before the upgrade. I tried everything with all button combinations and nothing.
Can somebody help me with this tread?
P.S. I did a video with the issue which can be found here:

Did you solve your problem I got the same problem and can't find any solution?
I don't remember, it was long time ago
Hello and thank you for anyone bothering to read this.
I got a CAT S50 and was experiencing a bit of instability lately.
I've run LTE_S0201121.0_S50_0.023.00 without a hitch for a while, then it decided to crash several applications, from google play to any other app open.
That's when I decided to do a factory reset and see if it would help. Performed the rest without a hitch, but the errors kept coming back. At one point, the screen went black. I knew the phone was on because the backlit was working. I hard-reseted it (hold the power button for 30 seconds or more) and rebooted. The phone froze on the CAT splash logo screen and that's when I hard-reset it again. But when I tried to turn it on, the phone simply refused to work. No vibrate, sounds or anything. It's dead.
When I plug it on the computer's USB, the PC makes a sound as if it detected the device, but when I go to the device manager, I get this QHSUSB_BULK with the yellow exclamation mark
I want to know if it is possible to unbrick this phone and if so, if there is a tutorial or if someone can direct me to the correct procedure. I looked everywhere for the ftf file for this phone to attempt this with flashtool, but I simply can't find it.
ANY help of any form is greatly appreciated.
Sadly I had the same thing happen to me, just a black screen. It decided to delete recovery mode or I just cant get to it.
Power Off the Phone,
While pressing Press Vol Down + Cam Button insert a Powersource -- hold down Vol Down + Cam
Recoverymenu should start
Then flash the original rom via ADB Sideload or SD Card.
btw. i have flashed the LTE_S0201121.0_S50_0.023.00 but i want test older ROMs!
can anyone link or upload an older ROM ?
Guy i have the same issue, can you please help me
I got the same problem I search lots place but still nothing then normal update rom anyone can help?
