Restore from Titanium Data - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, there was an app on Play Store (can't remember the name) that allowed you to restore apps and data from backup created by "Titanium Backup".
Now I tried searching on Play Store "Backup", "Titanium", etc but I can't find it.
Anyone know name of this app and where I can download it from?
Many thanks

Titanium backup would probably be the best app to restore data/apps that it backed up.

Titanium backup

I have the pro version but I'm wondering two things:
1) which thing should I restore to get my marketplace apps back. I know how to respite the apis themselves but then they never show up in the "my apps" section.
2) how can I backup my sms and mms messages?
Thanks in advance!

1. In Titanium Try Menu>More>Market Doctor.
This has worked for me.
2. I don't need this but you can search Market for "Backup SMS" there are apps for that.
Thanks but I don't see that under menu more on titanium...
Edit: never mind its there now

[Q] BackUp app which restores the contact list too.

Hi,
I am looking for a backup app which restores not just app but also all the contacts and their numbers in the Contact List.
AFAIK, Titanium backs up only apps (though I am not too sure about it.Read this in this Forum itself)
Moreover Titanium doesnot work on my HTC Desire S as it is not rooted. (I wish to do that also but I am unaware. Also does it void the warranty?)
And, heard about mybackpro but I am not too sure about it.
(Are we supposed to ask for the cracked app here.Apologies,if not)
Thanks aprior.
Try my backup pro ... it should the job.

Don't know about settings. But for SMS just check the market for one of the apps that backup your SMS/MMS/Call log to gmail.

Just download Titanium backup from the market (free version).
Once you run it hit the context menu button, and tap batch. From here you can do a full backup of all your data and apps.
Finally once the batch backup of everything is done upgrade your ROM and reinstall Titanium Backup, open it and navigate to the backup/restore tab and you'll see all your previouse backups. You can now restore anything you had preiciously including system apps, games and their data, messages, contacts, and pretty much anything on your phone. Just make sure that if you want the data back for the app when you go to restore it you tap restore app + data.
Hope this helps

SMS Backup and Restore
Its is best and free, easy to use, you can get it from market

I use Titanium Back Up. Create a "batch group" of apps and data that you would like to restore on your new ROM, and that way it is just a one-click process to restore everything.

Restore App+Data

Hi Guys,
What is the best way to restore apps+ data on new ROM?
Titanium backup just does backup for app and not data.
Helium does not do backup for some importatnt apps which needs account
nandroid manager fails for all those apps which actually has data.

titanium backs up app data fine for me. i use it all the time to restore data on many apps.
i only use productivity apps and tools, maybe 20 different ones without issue. i dont play games, so i cant speak to how well it preserves that data.

i assume by login account, you mean similar to twitter, etc. i have a few of those, occasionally it doesnt do it the first time, but i restore again and it works. i forget all what i have, but twitter, xda, mediafire, polaris office, and more work fine for me usually.

hmm... interesting... will have titanium backup as well... lets see if that helps...
does it also load hotmail or any other email accounts that you would have configured?
anyone else has any such recommendation?
if i manually copy android data folder and then paste internal folders will it help?

i dont use any other mail but gmail, but i used to, and it worked fine. accounts are restored by a separate backup called "accounts".
its only a backup of whatever accounts show in your settings/accounts menu. i had hotmail and live accounts, and they both restored fine from there.

Never use titanium to restore system data. This can lead to huge issues including unstable device performance.
