Is this only for the P760? When I load up Rom manager, it says device unsupported.

RomManager is working on P760 Stock and on CM10 on P765 too, since a month or more on P760. Not a new discovery. Check this 18th March post of mine.

It works on P760 Stock and CM10.1 on P765 but does not work on P765 Stock rom.
But if anyone flashed P760 Stock kdz on P765, RomManager should work as it recognizes P760 rom.
Sent personalized mail to Koushik Dutta regarding adding support for P765/P768/P769 and P778 too.
Hope he adds them soon.

Thats a good idea. Hopefully it will be done. The recoveries for all of the L9 variants are all interchangeable/compatible. Thank you for taking the time to message the dev!

I always do this for community. In conversation with GETRIL developer Robert also. Now we are getting custom kernels and roms, so RIL (Radio Interface Layer) matching is also very important for radio (not fm radio) performance.

[Q] PACMan ROM on P769

I don't think anyone has discussed this yet, but has anyone had any luck porting the PACMan ROM to the P769? I know it's been ported to the P760, but what would be involved in getting it to run on the P769?
Well, if anyone is interested, I got adamz667's PAC ROM for P760 to boot on my P769. It seems to work just fine so far. I had to remove the NFC apk and I'm having a problem getting Superuser to work, but hopefully I can figure that out soon.

One, is your bootloader unlocked? And two, can you upload a cwm backup?

Yes, my bootloader is unlocked. I was going to upload a CWM backup, but I don't think I'm able to upload a file that large.

Search adamz667's thread for superuser and you will get the link to the flashable zip to fix it.

[Q] Can i install a rom of P760 on p765?

My friend asked me to upgrade his p765 to CM or anyother rom.
I searched this forum.I found many roms for p760.but only few for p765.
Can i install a rom of P760 on p765?
Because both have same hardware features except NFC support.

Yes you can and you should remove Nfc.apk after installation. Please make sure that you unlock your phone bootloader first. If not you will get security error.

That's what "Search" is for my friend. Sorry, but this thread is completely unnecessary.
No one can provide/give you a link to any recovery without the correct information. You didn't mention what device model you have. Just saying "L9" isn't enough as there are 4 L9 variants. Also, if your bootloader is locked, you'll need a 2nd-init recovery instead of the standard recovery that can be flashed to your recovery partition. And, don't tell me you searched either. If you had, this thread wouldn't be here.

The latest recoveries (for p760) are Twrp 2.7.1.0 from either the Openrecovery project or Zyr3x(which has a battery indicator as the only mentionable difference).

Update baseband easy way (RESOLVED WITH ARTAS METHOD)

Dear friends,
I had this problem for a long time. I always facing network problem everytime i flash custom rom from kitkat to lolipop. The notwork is disabling everytime i change wifi to mobile data, and change from airplane mode. Some friends in XDA thread says it because my P765 baseband (v20b) is out of date, and should be updated to v20p. I already try this method but it did not suceed. I wonder is there an easy way to update the baseband? Realy need the feed back, thanks before friends..
Regards,
Koldan

[Q] LG Optimus L7 II Rooting Help (v20A)

First of all: My english is a lil' bit bad, so sorry for that.
So yea.. I need help. I can't root my LG Optimus L7 II with the firmware
v20A (Android 4.4.2 Kitkat). I think, i should tell you the history of my
phone first: As i got my phone, it had a firmware-version with Android
4.1.2 which I rooted with.. Framaroot i think. Then I flashed cyanogenmod 11.
And i lost my root T.T. Cyanogenmod had many lags, bugs etc. So i tried to flash
Android 4.1.2 with the LG-Update tool. After that my phone didn't start anymore.
My father sent it to the LG-Repair center and i got my phone back with Android
4.4.2. (v20A). I tried to root it a several times (framaroot, towelroot, easyroot..) but it
didn't work. Anyone who can help me?
Some people told me that now this app (former vRoot) can root on Kitkat firmwares (yes, it is a 1-clic root app). Maybe it could help you. If not... have you tried flashing an already rooted KDZ file?
If I wanted a rooted phone with Kitkat and a custom recovery... then I'd flash one of maxx_hr's KDZ. Just use his KDZ and LG Flash Tool (not any other LG tool) and you're good to go
Thank you!
I flashed a pre-rooted ROM by max_hrr 1-2 weeks ago
and it works for me. I have full root access now! Thank you
for helping me

That's great. I used the kdz for Mexico and the results were amazing. Stock firmware, no modifications, rooted, with custom recovery, all in just a few clics. What model of L7II do you have?
Have you seen that now the CyanogenMod 10.2 is going to be the best rom for our LG L7II devices? If not I'd recommend you to have a look at it.
Have a nice day!
Thank you II

After you flash my kdz, and check it works, turn off device, boot to recovery (TWRP), and flash upgrade-supersu from: https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU .
That's all.

Hello,
If I flash the phone with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56986151&postcount=2 ROM, it will be automatically rooted?
If the phone is rooted, does that mean that I can uninstal some system applications that I don't need?

Yes, you can uninstall system apps you don't need. But in order to root your phone you have to download a .zip version of SuperSU and flash it in the recovery mode. I done the same with my P710 and everything went well, so you don't have to worry
