First of all: My english is a lil' bit bad, so sorry for that.
So yea.. I need help. I can't root my LG Optimus L7 II with the firmware
v20A (Android 4.4.2 Kitkat). I think, i should tell you the history of my
phone first: As i got my phone, it had a firmware-version with Android
4.1.2 which I rooted with.. Framaroot i think. Then I flashed cyanogenmod 11.
And i lost my root T.T. Cyanogenmod had many lags, bugs etc. So i tried to flash
Android 4.1.2 with the LG-Update tool. After that my phone didn't start anymore.
My father sent it to the LG-Repair center and i got my phone back with Android
4.4.2. (v20A). I tried to root it a several times (framaroot, towelroot, easyroot..) but it
didn't work. Anyone who can help me?
Some people told me that now this app (former vRoot) can root on Kitkat firmwares (yes, it is a 1-clic root app). Maybe it could help you. If not... have you tried flashing an already rooted KDZ file?
If I wanted a rooted phone with Kitkat and a custom recovery... then I'd flash one of maxx_hr's KDZ. Just use his KDZ and LG Flash Tool (not any other LG tool) and you're good to go
Thank you!
I flashed a pre-rooted ROM by max_hrr 1-2 weeks ago
and it works for me. I have full root access now! Thank you
for helping me

That's great. I used the kdz for Mexico and the results were amazing. Stock firmware, no modifications, rooted, with custom recovery, all in just a few clics. What model of L7II do you have?
Have you seen that now the CyanogenMod 10.2 is going to be the best rom for our LG L7II devices? If not I'd recommend you to have a look at it.
Have a nice day!
Thank you II
Thank you, i'll take a look at it Have a good day

After you flash my kdz, and check it works, turn off device, boot to recovery (TWRP), and flash upgrade-supersu from: https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU .
That's all.

Hello,
If I flash the phone with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56986151&postcount=2 ROM, it will be automatically rooted?
If the phone is rooted, does that mean that I can uninstal some system applications that I don't need?

Yes, you can uninstall system apps you don't need. But in order to root your phone you have to download a .zip version of SuperSU and flash it in the recovery mode. I done the same with my P710 and everything went well, so you don't have to worry

You can't change the rom until someone finds a way to root that firmware, or unless you downgrade your firmware to a previous version.

Nope.
I had v10n and z4root failed to root it. I flashed my phone with v10b using KDZ updater and then z4root worked. Here you will find the tutorial. Make sure you also have LG drivers installed.
Good luck!
Hello,
I recently purchased a LG Optimus One with Koodo branding on it. I have already unlocked it, rooted it, and installed custom recovery on it.
Can someone tell me where I can find stock LG Froyo firmware, and point me to a tutorial on how to install it?
Thanks.

All you need to know is here. Basically, you can't root KitKat directly. You need to revert to JB, install CWM, then return to KK.

Only proper way to get root on stock KK rom is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-l3-l5-l7-l9-ii/development/kk-kk-kdz-p710-root-t2950532
If you need kdz for different country/provider, just ask.

Yes. There is a solution to update to Lollipop or MM.
1. First root ur device. there are lots of app and tools. i used kingo root tool.
2. install custom recovery. the only best recovery that supports g3 is TWRP. No need of latest 3.0 version. Even 2.8 version is good enough to flash all the roms you want.
Visit this link , You will Understand better.
http://lgg3root.com/lg-g3-root-tutorials/how-to-install-cwmtwrp-recovery-on-lg-g3/
3. ** Even though ur device showed D855, you need to install only LS990 recovery as ur model is Ls990 running on custom kitkat D855 rom..( Yes. its a custom rom of D855. So the model shows as D855. You wont have system updates and some other options missing)
4. Now go to playstore, download flashify.. Open it and select the recovery file u downloaded. It will flash and will reboot to recovery.
5. Now ur device is rooted with TWRP'd.
6. Download the custom rom u want and flash it. If u did the above steps correctyly, U can update to 6.0 also( custom roms).
if anything goes wrong, feel free to PM me.
My phone is rooted with kingo but i want stock lalipop in my phone then i can update it to zv8 or zva update.with TWRP i think i cant have stock lolipop.please guide me.thanks in advance

If U flash stock lollipop, everything works fine except 2 things.
1. Sim wont get detected as ur phone becomes locked to a carrier
2.you will see a message or a dialog saying " handsfree activation" with a running circular progress bar all the time. You cant operate the phone, or cant even lock the phone as it appears again and again. There's a solution to this problem.
Also, a solution for the first issue. But data won't work.
Its better to flash custom Roms. Fulmics rom is the best for everyday use.
If u still want stock rom experience, and think that mobile data is not a big deal, then I can help you with the first 2 issues..
I flash stock firmware but fail motherboard says its ls990 but flashtool detect it d855.please guide me to get ur custom rom.
Now i lost root and not able to root with any method please tell me how to root it again i am on zv6 kk.please help me.without root not able to flash any rom.
hello i solved this issue on my sprint g3 a couple days ago let me help you
first of all these refurbished got the intenational version installed on them but you should keep in mind the phone is actually ls990
and for this tutorial you will need
1- adb drivers ( it will be cool you connect your phone and type adb devices so you get your real phone's version)
2- TWRP for ls990 other versions might not work (http://downloads.codefi.re/thecubed/lg_g3/bump/twrp-2.8.0.0_ls990-signed.img)
3- root kk android version on your device using LG_Root_Script_by_avicohh (https://sourceforge.net/projects/avicohh/files/Android/LG_Root_Script_by_avicohh.exe/download )
4- you need to flash the twrp.img i'll recommend you to copy trwp on your sd and use flashify (available for free on playstore).
5- download, this marshmallow stock prerooted rom (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6tyZeOuo5smdWNzWVBURE9SMTg/view)
put in your sd or phones memory and install using twrp
it might take a while to boot but you will be ok
6- that's how i got android M on my refurbished LS990
oh one last thing nfc is buggy though but i don't use it
the rest works fine
you can check for rom updates here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/rom-lge-d855-android-marshmallow-ported-t3285025

Yes.i will.
For handsfree activation dialog:
--> just Rename or delete
LGstartupwizard.apk... * Which is located at*
/system/priv-app*
and you are done...
Now for signal:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/general/unlock-sim-gsm-how-to-t2853594
Follow the steps exactly..
Not sure and cant guarantee that data will work. Inorder to uae data,u should go to custom roms only. (Self experience)
Done
Now everything should work.
Hit thanks if it helped...
