[Q] why only can flashing JB Leak rom - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

now, i'm in chameleon rom3.0.1 xwls8 and would like to try flashing 4.2.1/4.2.2 custom rom, such as super nexus, rootbox, aokp, after following the instruction guide it's always ended with bootloop
i always fullwipe before flashing, this happens after i installed JB test firmware and JB stock rom, when i used the ICS rom, i often do the custom rom (aokp mille1) and there's no problem
anyone can help me with this?

Ur previous ROMs have no influence when u do a full wipe and flash AOKP/AOSP roms.
Tell us which ROM u want to flash (give a link to that thread)..
And please provide the details given in 'Settings - About Device'.

[Q] Can i flash JB gapps on ICS AOKP based rom?

[Q] Latest stock & CM ?

Hello everybody. I have a i9100 with pda: xwlpy, phone: xxlq6, csc: neelp6 on stock 4.0.4 and Dorimanx 5.92 kernel.
Untill now i didn't want CM because of the dialer (really like the Samsung dialer) and other small things, but now i want a clean, fresh install and start.
So i was wondering, can I install this stock LSJ 4.1.2, then root it (or should i install it with mobile odin and try to keep root? i preffer via pc but root is a must), then install Dorimanx 7.26 kernel with mali and then as a second rom this CM 10 4.1.2 ? Then i'll switch dorimanx to battery mode because i'm not that much into gaming.
Are this the latest releases? Any advice before i start working ? (now i'm downloading for ages the stock 4.1.2)
You can root LSJ but not with Dorimax kernel.
You cant use dual boot option (yet).
Yes XXLSJ is latest release.
ok, is that 4.1.2 stock recommanded or another download

that stock 4.1.2 is a leaked test version and not a official samsung release for u
hence try some other stable Stock ICS 4.0.3 versions for now, till a official JB released from samsung
hm... any eta for that ? that would be great but i'm afraid i'll have to wait some months and move to another country, so i'll have little access to a pc to get in download mode and everything to make a really clean install

[Q] NeatRom Lite v.4.4 with Syiah v5.0.1

Hello,
Yesterday I got my SGSII. It's my third Android phone and I'm not new in flashing custom ROMs, although I'm really confused how things work between kernels and custom ROMs here. I got stock ICS 4.0.4 onboard (XWLPW). For now, I flashed Syiah v5.0.1 kernel (which is for ICS) with Odin, so I got root and CWM6. I want to install NeatRom 4.4, which is JB 4.1.2 based. So can I just flash it on top of Syiah v5, or should I flash v6 first and then flash the ROM? Or maybe flash the ROM and kernel v6 before leaving recovery mode?
Sorry for this question, but I really couldn't find the answer, have been searching for it for some hours...
Thanks in advance!
you can flash both files while you're on recovery mode under siyah v5 but you gotta flash the Neatrom zip file first before flashing siyah v6 otherwise you'll only have a stock kernel.
Be aware that you have to do a full wipe before flashing them (which means you have to backup your files) if you don't wanna have bugs.

[Q] Help! Sammy apps on Custom ROM

Hi there.I have two questions, which have been bothering me for a while.I'm using JellyBam ROM with DorimanX kernel.I want to know:
1.How can I add the Samsung Galaxy S3/S4 weather widget on android 4.2.2?I've tried UCCW with the skin, but I didn't like it.I searched the forum, but I can't find anything.
2.How can I add the stock Samsung Camera app?Back in August,2012, when I bought my Galaxy S2,it came with a stock ICS ROM.I liked the camera pretty much, for it's focus and colours. The AOSP Camera is good too,but it's not the same.Is it possible,to have both Camera (Sammy and AOSP) installed at the same time,so I can use them both on the same ROM.

Nobody?
You should know by now that most Sammy apps work only on sammy based roms. Some apps can be ported, but I have yet to see a ported camera app.
This is the one reason why I switched to omega.
You can try Chameleon rom and see if it suits u.

1. Yes, to install a custom rom like cyanogenmod, you need to be rooted and have a custom recovery like CWM.
2. Cyanogenmod (CM) have many ROMs, based on all android versions.
CM7 - GB
CM9 - ICS
CM10 - JB 4.1.2
CM10.1 - JB 4.2.2
CM10.2 - JB 4.3
To upgrade to 4.2.2, flash CM10.1!
3. Instructions on flashing CM and rooting your phone can be got by a simple search of the I9100G forum. Please do so, and ask any questions you may have. Good luck!

Am sorry, but I'm not allowed to give you ROM recommendations. I suggest you either:
- Try each ROM and see which suits you best
- Check out what other members say about both ROMs in their respective discussion threads
