Recently switched from AT&T to Straight Talk. Whenever I have the AT&T SIM card inserted the phone runs fine, as soon I put in the Straight Talk SIM card, the phone reboots randomly. This happens 4-5 times a day.
APN is set to StraightTalk ATT (att.mvno). Are there any other settings I need to change?
Any input is appreciated!
EDIT: I'm using MROM Olympus btw (latest).
Anyone?

So this is what I got so far.
I have a Samsung Sch-r451c.
If you call *611 it goes to verizon, but its a straight talk phone.
My thunderbolt is already cloned, and number input.
Plus I tried different Prls for straight talk.
Most of them say to buy prepaid minutes with your credit card.
The issue is I think is that, when I try the *22890 it tells me Sim card is already turned on with verizon.
I've already put it in CDMA Only, and CDMA (prl).
No luck.
I've even tried the phone without the LTE card.
I have bars, but i'm not able to call out.
Tired different Roms inculding:
Liquid 3.2
Thunderstick
Miui
Bamf
Infected
So I have any luck.
I am currently trying to flash a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (i605) to PagePlus. I have rooted and unlocked using Casual. Currently running Stock Rooted (root66) but I have also tried using CleanROM VZW with the same results.
Currently I am able to make/rec calls and txts on PagePlus when the SIM card is NOT in the phone. When the sim card is out of the phone, I cannot get a data connection (1x or 3g)
Whenever I put the VZW sim card in the phone, it cycles through Verizon automatic activation mode (*22899?) repeatedly, freezing the phone from being accesible (Please wait while your phone is being activate msg) until it eventually times-out after 3 or 4 tries.
I have tried renaming /system/app/setupwizard.apk to bak, but that has not helped stop the activation.
Can anyone tell me what (or how) I need to do to get this phone flashed to get 3g and/or stop this annoying Verizon activation process?
The sim card I am using is brand new, purchased from VZW and is not tied to any account.
Any help is greatly appreciated
Oddly enough, my sim tray will only work with only one sim. And unfortunately, it is a broadband sim. Where I can't text and call. When it comes to regular sims, it would do say 'no SIM card.' Does anybody know what to do? Thanks
I am having the same kind of issue as well. I have a att i717 on stock 4.1.2 no root and sim carrier unlocked. Actually I have 2 EXACTLY the same, the one I've been using for 6 months with a cricket sim card have had no issues. With this 2nd i717 that I got yesterday, its now sim unlocked not rooted on 4.1.2, just like mine, my cricket sim works in it just fine but my sons metro pcs sim doesn't. My goal is for my son to have the exact same phone as me but with his metro pcs sim. Any help please? My son goes back to his moms tomorrow night and was really hoping he can go back with his big o phone working with his metro pcs sim.
Now I'm soo broke I can't even pay attention!
[SOLVED]
Everyone, after months of waiting and keeping it in stock condition, my sim is now working. After playing with sim tray, I solved it. Just keep the metal frames up, all the metal frames.
I have been using my AT&T sim card on my phone for months and it has worked fine. Recently I have started trying a project fi sim card and swapping back and forth (I've only swapped maybe 4 times) including last night. Since last night, the AT&T sim has been in the phone and working fine. It was working fine this morning. Now, I get a "No SIM card" error message. I cannot make or receive phone calls but my data works.
To be exact, the message says "No SIM card - AT&T"
I've tried pulling out the card and putting it in again and rebooting.
Any ideas on how to fix this would be much appreciated

I would check the following:
Card works on other phones?
Having the phone open, will removing/inserting the card trigger the reboot?
Other cards work fine with phone?
So my main phone is the honor 6x and today freedompop sent me a new lte sim too replace my old global sim card. So i figure why not put that one back in the dna which it used too have when it was my main phone...
So i pop it in and it does detect the sim card but the sim card icon up top is displaying a blank sim card and on the notification screen for sim card it keeps saying emergency calls only...
I have all apn settings setup as it was before but no matter what i do i cant get it too detect the sim right...
There is nothing wrong with the sim card cause it works in my honor 6x and even my droid maxx and also droid mini.
I figured i try the tape on the back of the sim card like videos and what i found on google cause it seems like this phone has issues with sim cards sometimes... But nope didn't work:/
Has anyone else had this issue?
I am running dirty unicorns 6.0 rom and im wondering maybe something got mess up on it? even tho i been running it fine sense 2015....
