[Q] [Troubleshooting] Samsung S3 Stock APPS Problem! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Alright, I own TWO Samsung S3's and one is 10Gig white, other 16gig pearl blue.
BOTH Phones have the same problem. Very many apps are incompatible and paid apps tab is gone from play store.
Rooted the white phone, no issues until 3 months later as paid apps were gone.
The pearl blue phone was bought 1 month ago. THE ONLY THINGS I DID WAS;
Start up->Do all the tutorial ****->Firmware update that came up auto->Tutorial ****->Play Store register new account (gmail) -> Paid Apps tab gone.
I Live in finland!
Will include pics
Btw. The phone was rooted AFTER that Paid Apps Tab was gone from Play Store!
Btw many of my friends own phones like S3 and S2 and they have no problems! One has rooted S3 and has no issues at all, same SIM Card as me aswell!!!

[Q] About UK Galaxy S2

Hi
Thinking of getting a Galaxy S2, it will probably be simlocked as these are slightly cheaper and can be unlocked for free (?). I was wondering if anyone knew if any of the major UK networks (O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone) have branding on the phones themselves? I heard Orange might have a small logo on the back of the phone? Do they all pretty much have logo branding on bootup, but this can be easily removed by flashing a stock ROM?
Is rooting and unlocking via the app still working/doable?
Also whats the deal with 3 (three) network phones? Can they be unlocked easily and used with any simcard? (I'm going to use giffgaff - 02 network)
Thanks
dont get it mate whait for SG3 or galaxy note will be out at buymobilephones dot net soon
The phone is basically the same as the new flagship android in the galaxy nexus, the only difference is that that phone has a 720p screen (though it uses the pentile matrix system) bar that theres not much difference between the two phones, therefore you should get it, as since its been out 6 months its 450 off contract, while the nexus is 550 off contract.
Yes theres an app to sim unlock it, and yes rooting is very easy, where you can install either a custom rom or a stock rom, whatever floats your boat. So my advice is get the best carrier that is either cheapest, or gives you best service in your area.
I bought mine last week off contract for 450 from phones4U, they all come sim unlocked anyway from there.
I got mine on orange, it came with an orange logo little square on the back. And with orange software (unremovable without flashing stock using Odin). I was scared to flash a new and expensive phone, but now I'm happy without ****ty orange maps and orange all over my Internet browser etc.
Also like the other guy said, wait til the galaxy nexus comes out next month-the s2 might drop by a few quid. Galaxy note is way too big IMO.
got mine from T-mobile. No logos on the phone (white sg2). Had a few apps from t-mobile but I've rooted quite easily

I'm stretching my budget with the S2, the S3 will be 2012 and will likely be 500+. I'm looking at around £320 off ebay for a S2. I was going to get an Ace, then S1, then saw that a S2 was only around the £300 mark so decided on getting it.
May wait a while, not sure, but doubt they will get much cheaper than £310?
Talkmobile
Have a look online with talkmobile they us the o2 network and at one time had the cheapest SGS2 on a 12month contract and their handsets are not locked.

I have an international S2 and last week I installed TomTom Western Europe 1.0. The installation went perfectly. I have been testing it for the last week and so far the navigation is the same as my g/f's TomTom XXL. I also purchased speeds cams and HD Traffic. The HD traffic also works great. The speed cams are not always there when I pass them on the highway.
I can recommend it. It also consumes way less power than Sygic, Navigon, etc. When using those, my S2 runs out of power even when using the car charger. With TomTom on my android, it even charges! So removed all the other navigation apps.

[Q] How to buy a Japanese application legally ?

Hello everyone, first I want to say that this is not a piracy post, I paid for all my apps in Japanese. I'm a huge fan of Japanese Pachinko and Pachislot, in the past I used to trick google store to buy my stuff from there but of course now it doesn't work anymore so I was wondering if there's a work around as stupid as it can be (for example going to Japan, buying a Japanese Play Store card, saying that you are in Japan, connecting in Japan and buy the apps) I'm 100% sure that once bought the apps is available for ALL your devices connected to your account (tested with paid and free apps), I have a friend who live in Japan and that can be "manageable" lol but a pain in the ass also.
Does someone as an easier solution ? I contacted the company and they said that they are not going to put it on the market OUTSIDE Japan, never... So I'm a bit doomed with the new apps (the other solution is to buy an retina Ipad, creating a Japanese account and Japanese gift card *that's what I did sadly to have the apps*) Anything is welcome here...
Thanks in advance, my current "phone" is a galaxy note 8 and I also have a galaxy note 10.1 (both rooted)

I have a Smasung NotePRO live demo unit.
I've succesfully removed the retail apps and load in the frimware from sammobile but it still showing that is a live demo unit during boot.
I have changed it succesfully on two other tablets as well but that was couple of months ago and i dont remember exactly how i did it.
Couldn't find any help on google.
Do you know how to set the default booting screen instead the live demo unit??
