If you haven't heard looks like dishnetwork is trying to pick up sprint.

I'm not sure how I feel about it. Im a fan of some dish (TiVo) but now there infrastructure
Sent from my endeavoru using Tapatalk 2
Just thought of one benefit, they could replace sprint tv (with like 5 free channels) with blockbuster Online which has more content.
I wonder if dish is thinking about getting rid of the dishes on your house and streaming content wirelessly over LTE, in some kind of everything on-demand offering,
you set ur box to download shows and 24 hours later it shows up on ur dvr.
More then likely they are trying to force T-mobiles hand by feigning interest in another company.

Interesting point.
Also, I saw today that Verizon is putting in a bid for clearwire, for whatever that's worth.

Dish has a lot of spectrum. This would be excellent for sprint and customers
Seems like dish would steal sprints spectrum, and leave the scraps (the consumers and what's left of sprint)

I would suggest buying a GSM Evo 3D and getting a GSM carrier like T-Mobile, AT&T, or Simple Mobile. Good thing all of the main networks here in Russia are GSM, I don't like the CDMA system.

It depends on the agent you get; whenever I do any shananigans I usually call the spanish line since they're based in Mexico, have full power over the acct, and are less likely to question your shiz.
And, yeah, the ESN will be clean if you do such a procedure.

Although I was thinking about it and would it be possible they could use the wimax towers to stream on demand content to their boxes?
I mean wimax has never even been near my house so I think it would be a MAJOR investment for dish to provide this to all their customers. But this is one possibility that ran through my head a minute ago.

I say, a Virgin would do the trick for only $35 dollars a month.

Does Metro PCS have there own towers? Would we gain any service coverage from the purchase?
If not, then I think Sprint should concentrate on their NV upgrades at the moment.

Only if that would mean we get access to their LTE. And as far as I know, they use a different frequency so it would be useless to us.

metro pcs must have lots of towers in my state cause i used to have metro before i went with sprint and i kno a few people that still got metro and service is good near me.. im in Rhode Island
Just what sprint needs another company with more LTE coverage or more debt, looks like lose-lose situation, not sure what's worse, guess it would come down to profit per subscriber.

Pretty disappointed with Sprint. Service has degraded in most of my area and prices have continued to go up. This just seems like a poor investment given their current problems.
Of course it's good for us. Any time we get more bandwidth (and man, does sprint need it) is good. And before you say something about less competition... When was the last time you heard about metro competing anywhere... Maybe against cricket.... But we all know they suck

K. I'm not ready for a new carrier just yet.. I use roam control strictly for voice since here at my house I get really crappy service. Roaming allows me to make calls even in my basement. (as opposed to having to have my phone next to a window to get service)
If you are stateside you may qualify for a free airave. Must call Sprint and complain about poor service. Oh and have decent broadband connection.

The transaction is expected to close in mid-2013, subject to a meeting of Sprint shareholders, and the usual FCC and antitrust approval, as well as SoftBank's ability to secure financing. In the event that it can't raise the necessary cash or if Sprint gets a better offer, the Japanese carrier will have to cough up $600 million in termination fees. Likewise, Sprint will have to pay $75 million if its shareholders don't approve the transaction.
