Your warranty is now void.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed.
Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

Beta 1
*treat this as an initial beta for testing; many things are still broken and any (constructive) feedback will be helpful*

Tablet Mode
Hybrid engine allows you to target apps individually. You get to pick their actual layouts which can tranform content drastically. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with build.prop hacks or DPI changes. We list all layouts an app brings, you choose one, its as easy as that. It does not matter if your device runs itself in Phone-, Phablet or Tablet-UI, your apps will always look as you like. On top of that you can scale apps, to fit your screen, that way you can even bring full fledged tablet apps and make them run perfectly. Nothing will break, nothing will shrink, your market will be fine. Additionally we have rewritten many parts of the android framework and fixed countless of AOSP bugs to make way for these modifications - our "tablet mode" runs better on a phone than on a real tablet, that is guaranteed.
Per-App Colors
Paranoidandroids newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel. See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.

You can cut part of the phone, and the statistics of the battery in the settings?

Are you building from source or it is a port ?

It's a port from the galaxy player 5.0

since PACman ROM has all the ParanoidAndroid features and more, i'm considering discontinuing the rom, unless anyone has strong feelings about this.

Well I've thought of building pa for a while but because you made a port of it, I decided to compile PACman. Also I want to compile it because PAC takes some ram.

Can compile ParanoidAndroid 2.57?
I prefer clean ParanoidAndroid than pacman.
Remove the phone part and it will be very good.

As I've said multiple times before, I can't remove the phone part because android is a os for phones. I would need to do some heavy modifications on the framework to get what you want. + the phone id with the tablet options brings a device Id hack into the device.

what i think he means is that when you go into settings you see "about tablet" rather than "about phone", which for some reason I can't implement

I won't do it for a simple reason. When I use the phone parameters on the device's configuration, you can see about phone and all but you can't download the apps from play store. The fact that I say to the OS that it's a tablet brings a sort of deviceID hack to it. It's still implementable but i'll won't do it.

You might feel that this is just like those other CyanogenMod kangs, but no, it isn't
It has it's own unique features, and all code from CyanogenMod is regularly merged.
It isn't intended to replace CyanogenMod tbh, but to provide a better CyanogenMod-based ROM for tablets.

Thanks.downloading now and once my battery is to an acceptable level will update, excited to check it out,in particular tablet ui with the stock dpi should be great
Just posting to say tested and so far everything works. If you like I can post a screenshot later. No FC's and it seems to be smooth.
Only one thing - The tablet mode seems to be only a tablet panel and not full tablet UI (Launcher & Settings still like phablet).
Is it just me that isnt getting a match on the md5 of the file and the one in the link?

Ok, forgive me its quite possibe my noobness is betraying me here but at the initial link ( http://sgt7.tk/ ) there are two files, the .zip and the md5 sum file and when comparing the two they are not the same, am i flawed in the way im carrying out the verification? completely aside from that where is the toggle that you mention, i know i need sleep badly but im not seeing any option to toggle the UI on the fly its very smooth and similar to CM9 but its still 100 percent phablet UI . Thanks for the help
UPDATE: OK I SEE THE TABLET UI TOGGLE, it is in the status bar area of the system menu

Probably, as i check the md5 locally, on the server, and when i mirrored it to goo, it generated the same md5, and the rom did install, so the md5 is indeed correct.

Welcome to the first release of AOSP+
AOSP+ is a collaboration ROM from myself and Lloir. Lloir enjoys using pure vanilla AOSP whereas I have always enjoyed the features from CM or AOKP. After trying out AOSP I was impressed with its speed and smoothness and found I actually only missed a few small things from those other ROMs so decided to port over just those features. The result: AOSP+
For all the changes over AOSP, see the second post.
All code that is not built directly from the google repositories can be found on github here https://github.com/AospPlus/
Other apps included in the ROM:
Superuser by Koush
LockClock from CM - much as Lloir hates it, i quite like it so it's gone in
Torch from CM
ShareLogs from cornedor - we will provide NO support unless the logs from this app are included with your post!
PerformanceTool from cornedor
We welcome suggestions of other things people like from other ROMs that you want included but we want to try and keep all changes as light as possible to stay as close to AOSP as we can. Also, feel free to add your own features and make pull requests to our repos to have them included.
Known Issues...
MHL, as with all non-sense ROMs
The boot.img included will not currently work well (or at all) so use the latest BLADE-42 kernel from maxwen (link below)
As these builds are very close to vanilla AOSP, updates won't come regularly but only as AOSP itself gets updated or if there are other features we implement
Downloads
BLADE kernel
ROM (MD5: d8a5ad3b0ff92930bd9d0d7abca98d60)
GAPPS
Installation
Install kernel from bootloader
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot-BLADE-42-201305280126.img
A factory reset and system wipe is always recommended (use Titanium to backup/restore your apps and data) but may not be required. If you have issues, please try and recreate them after a factory reset/system wipe before reporting them.
Install ROM and GAPPS from recovery
Wipe cache/dalvik
Reboot.
Thanks to...
Lloir for the device tree
Maxwen for his kernels
corne for his PerformanceTool and ShareLogs tool

Planned
Advanced reboot menu after long press reboot
Camera mods:
Timer option
Burst mode
How-to build coming soon.
we don't want this rom becoming a mashup rom like pacman and so on, which are highly unstable and cause massive issues with apps on the market....so if people want to recommend stuff sure, but not all will be accepted
Been using this rom for a good day now and I must say that it sure is incredibly smooth! So great work boys

Greetings - I found this ROM runs quite well, and has some nice options.
Still having some odd keyboard issues - gesture typing doesn't display, although works. Long press on keys also work, but similarly nothing is displayed (other than the kb dimming)
Enjoy!

No problem. I really wanted an 8" tablet with an msm8974 processor and this was all there was, but, man, Samsung doesn't do software.
Thanks for the offer to help (hopefully that was a general offer!). I think I've fixed this specific problem, just waiting on a build on another device to make sure I didn't somehow screw it up (unfortunately, the fix is in packages/inputmethods/LatinIME so the change will affect all devices).
I don't see a download link for gapps. Any pictures? Coming from an other ROM which -local- way is suggested to restore data like mail settings if I do not use cloud services? TB?

I spose I can take some screenshots.
Mail settings... I never really figured out how to transfer, at least not for my corporate email. For gmail, well that's simple. For my corporate email, I had to re-setup the account every time... I couldn't figure out how to backup the settings with TB even. Just a user/pass and the server... so I guess not a big deal, but a bit annoying.

Yes clean flashing. Sould add that other cameras than standard save video recordings.
New build in the OP, new host as well.... my old hosting is going away.
I found the camera would take video from the back cam, if you turned it down to 720p. Also, the vid cam that comes with the 'full' PA Gapps package seems to work fine, although I couldn't find a resolution setting there.
Keyboard etc fixes from crpalmer baked in.

Sorry folks, I don't blind build. I only develop for devices I own, which I can test on.
However, if there is CM then other ROM's can fairly easily be ported. Just a matter of someone with the device stepping up.
In the correct device area for 'just' the 12.2, there isn't much. I haven't seen CM yet. But I would like to someday build or port and help out others with the 12.2.

Bluetooth won't enable... seems permissions related?
As usual, this wouldn't be possible without all the hard work from @crpalmer and the CM team in general.
In fact he already did most of the bringup for Slim, so apologies for dragging on this one - I know people were waiting for it.
Enjoy! I am thinking I can keep up with the weekly schedule Slim does, I'll try to coordinate my builds with their weeklies as best I can.
Let me know!
OK, audio was easily fixed... just needed to add audio-caf
Other issues are still present.
Good news! Thank you very much for bringing SlimBean to us! ☺

Awesome. Of course this drops right as I'm heading out of town and can't flash, but that's how my life goes. If you're not sure you've got the right repo and such, ask the guys in the N5 thread. They often help people trying to make their own builds. Friendly bunch there. Thanks for your work on this (and of course crpalmer!).

See the post I quoted, it's fixed.
I've also fixed the keyboard issue... I guess I should play with different values, but the values used for CM didn't work... default is 4, crpalmer adjusted to 5... which worked for other ROM's. I just tried 15 for fun, and it worked.
Going to attempt 6 and see if that is good enough. I'm not sure what the negative effect would be of turning up this divider tho?
I finally got a chance to flash this and though I haven't tested everything possible, so far I've not encountered a single issue. I'm just thrilled to death. It's just like on my Nexus 5. I can't thank you, @arrrghhh (and of course @crpalmer for his device wizardry) enough.

I've never used BT on my tab, never saw the need...
I'll try it later. Thanks for the report.
I would never use it either if it weren't for my MOGA controller and Dead Trigger 2.

If using the Tab for WiFi calls (Groove IP, &c), Bluetooth becomes a useful feature to have.

Seems pretty smooth, but holy cow is the status bar tiny. It's a good thing I'm not elderly.?

I didn't say it was useless, I just didn't see a need for it.
Also, isn't GrooveIP basically dead now that Google removed support for third parties?
I wish Hangouts was as good on Android as it was on iOS... sad really. But I digress, I'll look at the issue...

lol, Slim likes to use a different DPI. I believe Slim is working towards a DPI updater on-the-fly... otherwise you'll have to adjust it in the build.prop.
No Doubt...

Understood as to your statement of its utility, inasmuch as one person's feature is another's bloat. As to Groove IP rendered dead, it was given another span of life via the entity Ring.to. Swift to establish, and a host of additional numbers to grab. Works flawlessly.
I as you am dumbfounded by the superior quality of Hangouts for iOS.
Thanks for all you do.

I've never messed with Dpi before, but you learn something new every day. Lookin good now!! Thanks!!
I've noticed apps seem to treat the tablet as though it has a menu button. No three dot button in UI or menu button appears in soft keys. Is there a build.prop edit or something that can fix this?

And it may take till Christmas to get one. The Exynos processor in it makes it harder to work with, from what I understand. The 8.4 has the better supported Snapdragon 800 and is not too different from the Note 3.

Another one? Wow! Just tried PAC and your 5.1's have come a long way. Problems already noted. Battery life is phenomenal. Will try this one later. First have to update my pc.

Tried the old rom you had posted, it seems to work well.. Would love to flash the updated version
BTW, is there an overclocked kernel for lollipop?
Which is better?
I still am in love with Candy5 but yet liquidsmooth is also good. Is this Rom more stable? What I know is that you can overclock your device using liquidsmooth rom as it uses uber kernel. Ill just wait till the rom becomes official. Or until it is popular
Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but this from does not have uber kernel, -1 for having it in the description and c- for 5.1 on quincy cause it needs it.

No need to come here grading my work or my thread! Nobody is making you flash this or any other ROM. Next time please try to be helpful and not so judging please? Uber is NOT going to fix anything with this device until we have repartitioned it with at least 6GB for the data. You could help there if you'd like?

To clarify overclocking was mentioned in the description however its not present in the rom, and there are a few people throwing around "uber kernel" and associating it with this rom, it is also not present. Just from the description clarification and debate settlement I think my post was warranted, maybe too light hearted for Your taste I didn't mean offence to you or the op, but hell there was a bunch of wild speculation And a misprint am I not allowed to have a little fun?
Ps Only a noob would flame out NOOB without further investigation of the guy he was flaming

my apologies, I didn't mean your rom specifically just the general concept of lollipop roms on i717. what would a 6gb part do for the device that would help it's operation Esp in context w/ a custom kernel? I haven't fully tested the rom but I think maybe the primary issue for me on 4.4 and up is the poor frame rate, I just think the adreno 220 just can't handle it w/o a little help. are you saying that the other performance issues associated with these roms is related to the data partition size? Please explain how and I may help
Flashed this Sunday morning and it's running well for me. Came from your latest PAC ROM and can say the performance seems a bit better with this one. And seems pretty solid stability wise.

Misprint? Not on behalf of the OP...
And what more investigation do I need than you coming out of nowhere, posting incorrect information, dropping "grades" on the OP (really?), and having some "fun" in a Development thread?
I think that's the first time I've ever used the term "noob" other than to describe myself back when I had a handful of posts like you. But I take it back- it has nothing to do with being a noob. It's just plain ignorant and disrespectful, and having been around as long as you have, you should really know better...
Need a Uber ?
If you love Uber so much, download the app and let them come pick you up. , . . .
I Give props to the devs that are still developing roms for the MSM8660 Qualcomm devices, cant wait for Android M lol .:good:

The data partition is only 2GB and it's getting filled up too quickly. Gapps alone can fill it actually but if we had more space, that would help the device run better. I'm trying to flash a pit file that I've edited to give up 6GB of data partition. Odin will not flash it for me so that's what I was mentioning you could help with if you wanted. Also the CPU isn't going to handle LP as we would like it to but there isn't much we can do about that.

Frequent freezes followed by auto reboot.
Hello,
I flashed LS V4 for my Note i717 with minimalist gapps using TWRP. I really enjoy it so far and would like to see if you can help with an issue.
I am fairly proficient with flashing mods so I got through that process fine. I use this phone as my Uber driver phone so have barely anything installed on it. (Uber partner app, Google maps, mileage log, Gmail, one cloud, and system maintenance apps like no bloat and xbooster set to multitasking) When I am doing something as simple as going through the settings, it will freeze, then reboot. Normally it wouldn't bother me, but if this happens while I am driving for Uber, I can lose a fare, so I'd like to get it figured out.
I haven't changed any of the default settings in the performance section, because although I have a basic understanding, I don't know enough to go messing with those. I do really enjoy this mod and having lollipop on the device, so I'd like to figure out these kinks. Any assistance is appreciated and I am somewhat noobish on this so please keep the responses with detailed info and layman terms.
Everything works except the video camera for me! Has anyone else had this problem or know of a fix? I seem to have this problem with all the 5.1 ROM's so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for all your work!!

Short answer: Use a stable ROM until lollipop rom's are out of beta.
Longer: Use recommended TWRP to install with a very minimal gapps package. After it boots to the set language screen don't touch it. Just don't. Leave it to settle for 15 minutes. Then set it up. Install extra apps fresh. Your backups may not work well. Try out for a period of time. Report issues clearly in the forum.Good luck.
