The Rezound is currently on sale over at Amazon for $150........I'm up for an upgrade. Are there any drawbacks to buying from here? The options can get confusing when trying to order........

You have the standard 14 days to return it for a refund without being locked in for another two years. Even though Amazon will refund your purchase within 30 days, after 14 you will still be locked in a contract with Verizon and ineligible for discounted pricing. The only reason this would be a problem is due to the time lost in shipping.
I had to return two rezounds to them and the third came in only one day before the point of no return contract wise. If the third one had been bad I would have wanted a refund and out of the contract extension.
Other than that, ordering from Amazon was great. They replaced my first rezound over a single dead pixel. They replaced the replacement over a loose piece of plastic around the USB port. The replacements all came with free overnight shipping and according to Amazon they do not carry refurbs so all of their replacement phones are new. This is much better than a Verizon store where you will get a refurb if you have a problem.
At 150 I think you should go for it. I ordered mine at 220 and used the difference to get a multimedia dock, hdmi adaptor, and car dock.
With wirefly you can't switch the phone on the line you are activating for 6 months so for example: if you use your primary line then you can't change the phone on that line for 6 months. I don't know whether amazon does that. This, shouldn't be an issue if you plan on using the phone on that line for longer then 6 months.

I don't think they can tell if you switch lines. As far as I know, as long as the line is open for 6 months, you are good. Now, cancelling data on that line might raise a red flag, because I think that is what they earn the commision on.
I have had no problems with the 4 phones I have ordered from amazon. Great amazon CS, and fast shipping.

Ya I emailed wirefly to ask about that and they said you have to keep the equipment on the same line you used the upgrade to receive it. I always wondered how they could tell, maybe amazon is different.

I think they might be blowing smoke up your butt. I bought my t mobile phones from wirefly and switched them within 3 months and never got charged or notified.
I added a line to my account from Amazon to get the rezound for a penny, then put the rezound on my line, and a dumb phone on the new line. and I never had any repercussions from it.

I preordered my Note from ATT's website Saturday.. As I'm sure many have seen I'm not due for an upgrade until November '12, but when I went to upgrade the Note was available for preorder at the upgrade price of $299, while all other devices were showing full price.
A lot of speculation is that if you preordered the Note, you qualified for a contract extension of 2 years... Did anyone else preorder before they had an upgrade and can confirm they received the device???
Any information helps, I sold my Streak 5 and am anxiously waiting a new phone.. I placed the order Saturday though, so even if it does go through the order my not be really placed until after Presidents day (monday)...
I did it the same way. Only 11 months into my contract and the Note is $300! I would just see how it goes and not say anything to AT$T :-D

I got the $299 upgrade price 4 months into my new contract with the infuse. Phone came no problem. Been using it for 2 days! It was on the pre order button. You had to hit the preorder button for it to show up.
I was less then 2 months into my contract and I was able to order the note for $299. It was worth that price and I was surprised I was able to order for the new user place.

My contract wasn't up until June. So i called Sunday and checked if i could upgrade early they said no. I hung up and called right back and told aother CSR the same thing that i had heard that we could upgrade to the galaxy note for $399. Well he put my on hold for about 10 and came with we can do that ill mark your account so you can just go tomorrow to the closest store and they will take care of you. Ok so ibget to the store today as soon as they opened I told the CSR that my account should be posted so i could upgrade early to the Note. Well the system was rebooting today so they had a hard time sgetting up to different price of $399 so they had to show on the ticket that only paid $299 for the Note and twisted my arm ;-) into spending the other $100 in the store on accessories so on the ticket it would show what the extra $100 was for lol....so after I left there i went to the store 3 miles away from them and got my cash refund on $100 accessories......soooooooo after all that that's how i got my awesome white Note for $299
Checked at&t account and unable to purchase for $299 ( got my skyrocket in October. So not sure how the rest of you got it 4 months in, but I'm jealous. I may cough up the $650 to get it

I'd just wait till march 5th and start trolling craigslist for people that can't return and thinks it's too big..maybe pick it up for 300 no contract extension.
My 1 yr was up around jan 2013.. pre-ordered the note at 299 on the 7th. received it on the 17th.. tried to get my buddy at work to do the same, funny thing his showed full price even though his 1 yr was up in aug of this yr.. so who knows. maybe it only worked for certain people.
It doesnt work for premier customers.

Not any more, you could only renew your contract if you PREORDERED, which obviously went out of effect yesterday. To confirm this I went and looked at the ATT website, and the Notes price for me is now $600. Sorry man.
I upgraded to a Skyrocket in December. Pre-ordered a Note on line for $299. Received it on Friday.
Just ordered mine through Staples.com as they started taking preorders on 32 gig Nexus 10 only today .Can't wait !Sad news is 17-27 of Dec . for arrival ! O well late Xmas better then a longer wait maybe from google .

Yeah the Play Store is going to have stock well before then. When the Nexus 7 sold out they also quoted the same 3 week timeframe but in a week and a half they were back up and running.
They don't have the 32 gig one and just 16 gig .again I can't touch till Xmas (gf rules lol) .it doesn't bother me waiting and still have my galaxy Tab to hold me over till then

hope you're right, might try to stop in to Staples tomorrow and see what they have to say.
so now instead of 17-24 days the Staples website says 28-32 business days, thats 6 WEEKS!
So I ordered on Saturday. Now my order status has changed to cancelled. I called staples and they said this is the way they handle pre-sale items. Basically we are just being put on a waiting list. A second order number will be created once they get stock and we won't actually get the product until after we receive a phone call from staples verifying that we are still interested. Only then will the order be placed.
Can anyone who also went this route check their order status to see if it also says cancelled?

Grrr!! Mine has been cancelled as well Not sure now whether to reorder or forget it....
Update: Just reordered... Now Expected delivery date is 01/10/2013!!!! I hope Google gets more 32gigs available at the Playstore or Walmart gets stock before then.
Update:haha I didn't fully understand your post until now. I just cancelled my new order and also called to confirm that my original order was still in place which it is. So still cosher

Same thing happened to me, too. If I can find the N10 anywhere else, I'll buy from there and call to truly cancel my order with Staples.
When i called about my order the lady said I'm still good .My preorder said it originally at the latest arrive Dec 27 .The cancelled order showing will be replaced with the actual shipment order when they get the tablet.first she said 6 weeks then she "wait your order will arrive at your place Dec 15th ."I ordered mine the day they started preordering .

I was told when I contacted staples is that the schedualed delivery is just a rough estimate. We can expect to receive it before or on the date stated.

I've learned that some retailers will say anything to seal the deal with your money. I saw the Google Play option as an opportunity to get the device in my hands faster. =)

I ordered from Staples 2 days back. Ordered 16GB on Nov 16th, received today on 20th and again ordered 32GB today on Google Play. Once it is shipped I will cancel the Staples order. Wondering what to do with the 16GB

Why the heck does AT&T ship a device without signature required?
Long story short, my One 64GB was delivered supposedly to my house today and left on my doorstep. Needless to say, NOTHING is here, and FedEx can't talk to the driver to make sure he delivered to the right house until tomorrow? How flippin' stupid! Called AT&T to get a replacement but the replacement won't get here till at least Wednesday or Thursday...

If I'm not mistaken, FedEx, on their website, states that the signature is dependent on the driver. Not really an AT&T call. Ive had two phones delivered (S3 and Note 2) and the S3 required signature but Note 2 didn't, and they were different drivers obviouslycuz it was two different addresses.

If im correct, even if the company says the package needs a signature its all up to UPS/FedEX driver to decide if you need to sign or not.. because i've had many packages come to my house and after i check the tracking status it says i signed it.. but never did
but how AT&T and even people like me can protect our self when selling online (eBay etc) is by delivery confirmation.. because on AT&T end it says the package was delivered and signed by YOU the buyer.. but if you never signed for it or picked up and someone else did you the buyer is screwed.. and the seller is protected because you could be lying and just looking for extra money..
and companies don;t include insurance on shipments at least from what i know

I've had the MOST DIFFICULT time locating this phone. No one has them except Corporate Sprint (and Verizon) stores, at least in my area. It seems that Best Buy decided this is a phone they will NOT stock in stores...ever. I have called and visited over 5 Best Buy or Best Buy Mobile stores. None of them have it, and none were able to order it. I ordered it from BestBuy.com on release day, with a promised delivery by Monday, November 18. Well, I got an e-mail basically saying it was out of stock, and they expect to receive and ship orders within 30 days. I called Best Buy Mobile and spoke with a representative, who transferred me to a manger to find out more. The manager then called HTC for availability information, but HTC said "You need to call Best Buy." So then I called HTC and spoke with a representative, who transferred me to a manger. They called Best Buy to find out more information, and Best Buy said "You need to call HTC." PATHETIC. Between the two companies, SOMEBODY has to know when these phones will be in stock. And if they knew they didn't have any to begin with, they should have listed "backordered" on the website, and not "Add to cart."
Then today I called Wirefly.com and placed an order with them, and after giving all my information and going through all the steps with the representative, it turns out they, too are out of stock!! I opted for expedited shipping, in hopes to get it before Thanksgiving. But Wirefly.com says they "expect" to have more info on availability within 72 hours, but I don't trust them at all.
What is going on!? Is it just me, or is this the worst HTC product lunch ever!? I've heard (rumor) that they are trying to pull a card from Apple's deck, and create a false sense of demand. I'm a fan, and I've upgraded to a new HTC phone every year for the past 7 years, but I'm no idiot. I know HTC has neither the popularity nor the market share of Apple or Samsung. Not even close. So why is this phone so hard to acquire? For now, I'm going to leave both my BestBuy.com and Wirefly.com orders pending until one of them ships and they confirm it by sending a tracking number, then I'll cancel the other.
Side Note: For those wondering "Why don't you just buy it from the Sprint store?" I want to buy it from Best Buy because they have it for $250, plus they will give me a $50 gift card for upgrading through them, so that results in $200. Also, I like the advantages of the My BestBuy program. Wirefly had them for $200, which I would have been okay with getting it there. Sprint is asking $250, and they seem unwilling to match any of the others' offers. I'm going to try a different Sprint store tomorrow, where I know one of the managers. Maybe he will be willing to match Wirefly.com's offer. I'm tempted to order from Amazon.com, but I fear I will get the same "backorder" nightmare.

My local Verizon store had it in stock on launch day. I did get the same run around at Bestbuy before going to the VZW store. I too was a big fan of my note 2 and the jury is still out on the Max but I like it for now.

I got mine Launch day with Verizon EDGE. Traded in my old Moto Razr HD for it. I like it a lot. Avoiding Unlocking it till HTC fixes the Fingerprint Reader issue.

It's a Global Phone meaning it has the radios to do it. But knowing verizon it will be locked.
On a side note: Please don't post the same question on every thread in addition to the thread you already created. It's impolite.

How? I asked to be notified by email of when it was coming by way of the HTC One Max coming soon landing page for Sprint. They did, and the page asked if I wanted to check my upgrade eligibility, so I did, and qualified for the One Up promotion, but it involved setting up an appointment to go into a authorized store. This was on a Friday. I made the appointment for Saturday, and waited all of about 7 minutes and they started the ball rolling.
