[Q] best way to backup before flashing new kernel+rom - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Plenty of apps are installed on my rooted x10mp, and each with its myriad settings/data I've put in.
whats the best way to backup these apps and their settings before flashing a new kernel & rom?
TIA

Turn the X10MP on. Press repeatedly on the back key when nAa kernel logo shows.

Shortly after CWM Recovery starts.
You navigate op and down with the sound volume buttons on the side of the X10MP, select an itim with the start-buttom (the middle button), and goes back in the menu-system with the back button.
Select backup and restore > backup, wait for the backup to finish.

Stuck at the HTC white screen, Can't get into TWRP Help!!

Hey all.
I was running mikeyxda's rom with the latest ota and flashed a flashable version of beats audio on top it. The result: phone wont boot. I tried taking the battery out and holding volume up + power button with no luck; it just stays on the white htc screen.
Whats the best way for me to solve this? If I plug my evo into the comp it is recognized as a usb composite device.
Please help. would love to get this straightened out tonight. Should i just run one of the official ruu exe's from sprint? Is there an easy way for me to just get into recovery so I can wipe everything?
Thanks
Recovery is volume down and power

Mods you can delete this as it provides no new info. thanks!

Titanium Backup 5.2.0.1 issue.

I updated TB yesterday from Google Play, now when I boot up TB, go to Backup/Restore, press menu, there is no option to backup or restore apps.
There seems to be no batch option. Am I just being blind/stupid, or has the last update removed the batch option?

In the top right corner, to the left of the menu button, there is a piece of paper size thing with a check mark. Press that for all Batch actions.

You're a saint, that totally threw me. Thanks Kwurky.
This had me stumped as well.
They need to update the wiki - it still tells you to use the menu button and then select batch.

SMS wont restore from Kies

I have moved from Orange to 3 (UK)
So i flashed the 3 version of the ICS4 firmware as on:
http://www.theandroidsoul.com/galax...wnload-the-i9100h3glp2-firmware-at-carrier-3/
That worked out fine.
I did a backup before.
It shows that it has backed up my SMS:

When i go next
Wont let me restore them.
By flashing the 3 rom, your phones become just a i9100, no longer a i9100P. Probably whats confused Kies, thinks its a different phone and wont restore personal data (contacts, calendar etc)

So if i flash it back to Orange i would be able to retrieve that info?
alternatively, you could install a SMS backup application from the play store and restore your messages
Personally, I dont TRUST Kies. I use third-party back up tools for the job.

Would still have to flash the orange firmware and restore them to the phone before i can back them up using an sms backup app?

[Q] p769-20d - Remove Qslide

Hello Everyone,
I would like to remove the stupid QSlide area from the drop-down menu by using the script posted in this thread

I have successfully rooted my phone, but I am having trouble figuring out how to run scripts and boot into recovery. Whenever I try to boot into recovery, I get a picture of a dead android with his stomach plate opened up and a warning label over it and I can only restart by taking out the battery. Thus, I cannot run the script from recovery.
I am currently trying to use SManager to run the script from my external SD card with root permission, and this happens:
Nobody else in that thread seemed to have that same error. What am I doing wrong?
Can anyone either tell me how to properly run this script or how to successfully run a recovery installation?
The script is attached also, for your reference
Thanks
The zip has to be flashed from recovery. You can use artas cwm for locked boot loader found in development section.

[Q] Backup and restore data\apps for non-responsive OS

Hey everyone,
I have a very annoying issue. It seems like I messed up with lockscreen settings and now the phone is crashing at the very beginning of OS boot, a FC message constantly pops up every 3 secs or so and the status bar is missing. A process called "com.android.systemui" keeps closing and won't let me do anything with the phone.

}
The home page of Nova launcher is shown but the devices behaves as if it is on lockscreen, but I can't unlock it open. Nothing on homescreen can be pressed\launched as the phone is "locked" and only volume up\down, short\long press home\back (lockscreen actions if predefined) and reset would work. I can't just wipe\factory reset yet as I have some important stuff should be backed up before.
Obviously if I Nandroid then restore - this will restore back this conflict as well. I have a very early working backup stage of Viper ROM but it does not include all my customization and all apps installed later on.
I need a way to backup all apps+data and settings, SMS, etc. without the need to "touch" the OS - Titanium backup would absolutely have no use here for me nor others like.
Perhaps I can modify the Nandroid backup file and tell it which apps to (de)install?
Any advice before I reset this device?
