Wiping battery stats does not calibrate battery, contrary to popular belief. The real way to calibrate a battery is done by completing the following steps.
1. Discharge your device fully
2. Without booting it up, plug the device into your power supply and let it charge till you know it's full.
3. Unplug, and pull out the battery for about 20 seconds and put it back in and reboot.
4. All done, enjoy
Hit thanks if this helped

Using battery for a week will recalibrate .
Only time to wipe stats is if stats are messed up .
Question posted multiple times if you want more answers .

[Q] Battery Drainage/Wipe Battery Stats

Hello,
I recently got the Galaxy S2 and I'm really enjoying it! the only problem i had till now is the battery drainage issue.
Because of this issue I asked what to do and someone told me to do heartagramm's tutorial of calibrating battery, the only problem is that it says in the tut i need to wipe battery stats and i can't find it in the recovery.
1. Where is it? do i need a custom recovery?
2. Do you have a different fix for the battery drainage?
(While using 3G and playing a little the battery died in 5 hours)
Battery fix is use the battery .
Battery stats via root explorer .
No custom recovery yet .
Wiping battery stats may well just be false information >> wipe stas and in a few days your battery is better or just wait a few days and your battery is better .
Battery drain = programs draining the battery ..
may help.

Battery acting weird last 10% of battery gives 2hrs of on screen time.Rest 90%= 2.5hr

Guys my battery is acting weird now the last 10% is giving me 2 hrs of on screen time and the first 90% gives only 2.5hrs
The thing is I always used to see that people posting their S2 on screen time of 6hrs and 7hrs of on screen time and then there was me who used to get only 2.5 hrs of on screen time but the thing was i used to charge my phone whenever the battery reaches 10% . From the last two days I'm fully discharging my S2's battery and for my surprise on last 10% i get more 2hrs of on screen time and it last really long .
Is there anyway so that i can calibrate my S2 battery so that it will show correct battery percentage .
if you are using siyah kernel. ising extweak you can reset the battery gauge chip or just go in to recovery and delete the battery stats and recharge your phone to 100% and report if problem still persist

this will get nothing - batterystats.bin is just the Settings > Battery statistics. This is not for recalibration.
If you are not using Siyah just discharge battery, remove it from phone for >3min, put it on, connect to charger and wait till 100%.

how to overcome the Battery Life Problem in cyanogenmod

This is a simple way to increase the battery life in cyanogenmod... this worked for me,..
1. Goto cwm and clear the battery stats
2. Charge the phone to 100% (make sure it is 100% by checking the battery status..)
3. NOw allow it to completely discharge ... do not connect the charger until the phone is shutdown automatically...
4. Once the phone turned off due to complete draining of the battery, charge it and use it normally..,
hope it helps
i have a better idea, bring powerbank 5200ma or up, when u go out. ur device will not run out battery even on hard gaming all day long. like i did

yep, maybe it doesnt help but it work for me
1st charge 100% while phone is on
2nd reboot to cwm n wipe battery stats
3rd turn the phone off then charge it to 100%, cause it will tell u that ur battery isnt full yet (charge it about 20 minutes or more)
4th turn it on while still charging
5th unplug the charger n use ur phone as usual

I'm not trying to argue here, I'm just saying that wiping the stats won't help improving battery life. So if you say so, on what basis?
Anyways, cheers!
not improving battery life but, correcting current battery stats. it happen when u often switch rom n restore from cwm then u feel like ur battery drain more quickly than usual, so i tried the method i post earlier n it works

For all those have battery problem with XP try this

Hey guyz
I dont now if itis an old topic or a new one that's topic for xperia p save battery
My friends, i can see you have many problems with the batery life. I don't know if any of you has noticed this, but when the phone is charging and it reaches 100%, you shouldn't remove the charger. The phone is still charging even after reaching 100%,sometimes for half an hour. If you want to see when the phone is fully charged, go to Settings-About phone-Phone status. In the first field you can find if the phone is or is not fully charged. Try this and let's see what happens. I hope i can help some of you.
I havent write this topic i have only copy it

It's a program found on the play store search for Battery Calibration
Requirements: Android 2.1+ | Root permissions
Calibration needs to be done after flashing a new ROM, but you can calibrate any time you think your battery is miscalibrated. This program does it by removing the batterystats.bin system file. The OS generates a new clean batterystats file soon, thus any fake information from the previous ROM is removed.
It's suggested, but not necessary, to let the phone fully discharge after calibration, then charged to 100% without break.
Is it the same to do the battery calibration with that app or to just wipe battery stats with CWM?

This and all other programs. which delete batterystats file, not do any callibration! Batterystats file only hold battery usage statistics and automatically deletes when charging reaches 100%! To avoid battery problem, allways before charging, discharge battery till phone turns off!

2. Remove charger and turn off your phone holding power button and volume up button at the same time until you phone vibrates 3 times.
3. Connect the charger and charge your phone to 100%.
4. Repeat previous steps 2-3 times.
5. Remove charger and let your phone turn off when it reaches 0%.
5.Charge your phone and your battery is calibrated and you get some extra battery life!

Can't you read on page 1?

RE-CALIBRATE your battery THE FAST WAY

most people here are changing ROMs...and most of the time people say that some ROMS are a big battery drainer..
some move to other ROMs because they noticed that the battery performance of the ROM they are using is changing..
this happens because all the records on the way we charge are saved on the battery stats..sometimes our battery meter says the wrong information. that is why we have to calibrate our battery...we usually do this by going to CWM and wipe battery stats..
but are we really doing it the right way?
here is my guide to do this in the proper way:
i know some of you are using battery calibration from them the market, but all it does is just delete battery_stats.bin from system..But the truth is, the system is still writing the old battery stats if it's erased online...So the only solution is to delete it through recovery...
this is what you need to do:
1.Install Battery Monitor Widget from Market for Monitoring
2.Charge your phone to 100%
3.When done, restart your phone, but go to CWM recovery
4.Go to advanced -> Delete Battery Stats
5.Reboot, you should get battery about 90-100% (depending how much margin has been wrongly calculated)
6.Open Battery Monitor Widget to monitor the voltages. the maximum voltage is 4200mV for Li-Poly battery. Try to reach that value before disconnecting the charger.
7.Before the voltage graph getting dropped, Disconnect the charger immediately. for me it is stopped at max 4190. your mileage may vary.
8.You're done, your battery is calibrated..
kind regards,
baiclark
Thanks for the tips

Yes, There's no option for wipe battery stats on CWM 6
Only CWM 5 i guess
Guys!! Wipe battery stats is havent nothing to do with battery life!! There is only info about battery drain of every app and time of theses app. Also battery stats are wipe every time when you charge battery above 90% so this function in cwm is practicaly useless.

For sudden drops to 0% Sony Service recommends that you charge the phone to 100%, remove the usb cable and the battery for at least 10 minutes. Return the battery to your device, turn the power back on and put your phone back on the usb charger until it hits 100%.
