Hello,
After stuck flash to ICS, i decide to flash using JB files from sbf.droid-developers.org/umts_spuder/list.php
I used O2 JB and tried "Unknown Carrier" and "Retail British" also.
My XT910 get bit progress now. This device can turn on stable without any self reboot.
But again I can't boot to BP Tool
Now I only able boot to BP HW Diag.
Kindly help me to fix this issue.

I have to root my device first.
But I'm not sure root for XT910 JB is available now.
anyone?
Turn off your phone, remove the sim card and reboot. Then, power off your phone again and insert sim card and reboot.

OMG.... you saved my phone.. thanks a lot !!
It works, I can boot in BP Tools now..
Next step is how can I restore my cid and change my baseband without root?
Because upgrade to JB makes my baseband doesn't work in my region.
Also I found usb debugging notification on my phone, but it's not connected in pc.

There are two methods to restore cid. One of the methods need root and other not needed. Since you have no root, download the file ( here ) in your PC. Then extract the file. make sure those files are in a folder. Put your cid.img file into the extracted file. Hold Shift + left click and select "open the command window here".
Turn off your phone. Go to the bootloader (like one you boot to bptools) but this time select the 'AP Fastboot mode' . Connect your phone to your PC. In the terminal, run this line:
Code:
fastboot flash cid cid.img
Make sure no errors when flashing it. And reboot

Never seen that problem before, but it worked for me. Try to follow these instructions.
1. Download the file ( Here! )
2. Extract the file. You will see a file named allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm
3. Put the .bin file in the fastboot folder.
4. Put your phone in AP Fastboot mode, connect it to PC
5. Run these commands
Code:
fastboot flash mbm allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash cid cid.img
All thanks to the therazrguy

I just erase cid using your command, so I can get back to BP HW Diag again, still can't boot to BP Tools.

You had just erased cid? did i just told you how to restore cid?
But anyway, after few minutes of searching, i have found someone posted how to flash the cdrom partition. It is by TeddyOFLove
I will try. But remember this is all HSD-Pilots work, i only try to make it clear to you.
1) download These fastboot files.rar (clink on text)
2)download retailEU. jellybean OTA
3)Download HSD-pilots UNBRICK.rar
4)UNRAR HSD-pilots UNBRICK.rar from step (3) to any new folder (lets name it UNBRICK)
5) UNRAR Fastboot files:
cdrom_signed
cdt.bin_signed
devtree_signed
ebr_signed
mbr_signed
recovery_signed
radio.img
system_signed
from step (1) to Folder from step (4) we named UNBRICK ONLY extract files i said
6)Connect your device to pc
7)open UNBRICK folder Hold shift and right click on white space -> then press OPEN COMMAND WINDOW HERE
8)flash files from step (5) by writing in the command window you opened:
mfastboot flash cdrom cdrom_signed
mfastboot flash devtree devtree_signed
mfastboot flash ebr ebr_signed
mfastboot flash mbr mbr_signed
mfastboot flash recovery recovery_signed
mfastboot flash radio radio.img
9)with the phone still connected to PC open UNBRICK folder and tun Unbrick.bat.
10) after unbrick.rar flashed press power button once, and immediately hold volume up + volume down and press power again
11) go down to recovery and press volume up
12) when you just follow instructions in bat file. see android picture press volume down and volume up at the same time and wait for radio to install
13) after installation of radio wipe data and catch -> navigate to factory reset and do it
14) Then go to install update from external memory and install retailEU. jellybean OTA that you downloaded (you have to put it to your external SD card)
15) If all is fine it will update, just reboot and its unbricked

Also, i forgot that HSD-Pilot posted a thread how to unbrick on the jelly bean OTA, use this thread if its doesnt work.
thanks again for another how to.
i'm downloading the files now there are two question:
1. TeddyOfLove require fastboot files on ICS I guess SPDREM_UMTS_01.6.7.xxx but why tutorial from HSD-Pilot doesn't require this file? which one should i follow
2. Based on above tutorial there are no CID restore? so when I restore it? after all works or before all steps start?

atleast 80% battery
droid rarz utility 1.7
rsd lite
fastboot.exe or any fastboot command line tool
and some patience
1st - extract droid razr utility and find the mbmloader named " allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm"
2nd - enter fastboot and flash the mbm... here's how
( fastboot.exe flash mbmloader allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin)
3rd - reboot
( fastboot.exe reboot-bootloader)
4th - erase the Contact I.D No.
(fastboot.exe erase cid) (fastboot.exe reboot-bootloader)
of course with a erased CID you'll never be able to turn on your phone into normal mode but still can gain access to fastboot
5th - download and flash the XT912 fastboot file

Are you Encode from twit?
The problem is you flashed an ICS Rom. Try that first:
Boot into stock recovery and perform a factory reset. If it boots, ok. If it doesn't boot you should flash Jelly Bean. Just grab that one from VZW at sbf.droid-developers.org.
DON'T FLASH EU JB! Otherwise you won't be able to DOWNGRADE or switch to another region rom because it has the highest secure version compared to all others.
This is VZW JB: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/cdma_spyder/cdma_spyder_9.8.2O-72_VZW-16_1ff.xml.zip

That is what i am currently using and i am getting the boot loop back, Yeah this @EnCode_1
Hello guys,
Let me preface this with the fact that I have been searching this forum for the past hour and could not find anything pertinent for my situation.
I've updated to the latest GSM OTA (the Vodafone EU one) and all was great, decided to reboot my phone and got into a bootloop. I don't have a recovery to boot from and going to be short on battery soon.
The way I see it, I'm stuck with a bricked phone until the RSD package for the OTA is released. Is that correct? am I missing anything?
Can anyone point me to a relevant thread where I can catch a break?
Cheers!

Please tell us how you fixed this, i have same problem but i already screwed it up more by trying to flash back to ics after i was stuck at boot on JB vodafone. Now i have bricked phone and i wait for Fastboot files, which we dont know when will come out
Got the same problem here
Alright, here goes.
I am not responsible to whatever happens to your phones. This process is described for the Vodafone OTA.
Also, you will lose root
I'm guessing your phones are in a constant bootloop right about now. If they are, you have to make sure you still have some battery left so that on AP Fastboot it shows battery OK. If you don't, follow the guides here to get more juice or get a 'factory cable' and charge your phone.
To download:
- Fastboot from here: http://dfiles.eu/files/bih3tmg7b
- OTA kernel (here: http://d-h.st/xat )
- The whole OTA here ON YOUR SDCARD
- original ICS RSD Image here
Process:
Extract the fastboot somewhere accessible like c:/fastboot
Extract the kernel and the original ICS files on your desktop
Copy the OTA kernel (boot_3.0.8-g7198280) to your c:/fastboot folder
Copy 'system_signed' from the original ICS archive to your fastboot folder
Open the command prompt (search for cmd.exe in your programs)
Navigate to c:/fastboot (use "cd .." to excape a folder and "dir" to list the files in a folder )
Go to AP fastboot on your phpne and do the following from the command prompt:
fastboot flash boot boot_3.0.8-g7198280.img
fastboot flash system system_signed
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Now restart your phone and enter recovery the normal way volUp+volDown + power button then select Recovery, then volUp+volDown to see the menu.
Do a factory reset
Flash the OTA (that should be on your card)
Reboot
Ta-da!
If after the whole process you get a flash failure when rebooting your phone, use this guide to get rid of that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1634223
If this helped you, please show the 'Thanks' button some love. Also, post here if you run into trouble, DO NOT PM!

That's weird. Prolly the flash was messed up somewhere..
Try this before "fastboot flash boot boot_3.0.8-g7198280.img":
extract recovery_signed and allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin from the ICS folder and put them into the fastboot folder
do this
fastboot flash mbm allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash recovery recovery_signed

For your information, I managed to unbrick my phone. Problem seemed to be my CID.IMG. After erasing it, I could enter recovery and installl JB from ext-sdcard. Now I have to use BP Tools tools to boot, because as soon as I restore CID, the device doesn't boot.
Really strange, because my phone is actually from Europe (d/a/ch), Switzerland. Maybe it's due to the fact that I switched to the chinese JB Ota leak before updating to the EU leak.
Hello I inadvertently flashed his XT910 XML firmware 4.1.2 for XT912. The telephone does not work. I tried unbrick, but it does not work, does not start recovery. Runs only bootloader error "Invalid CG OTV".
Help restore the phone, please.
Thank you!
I am sorry for my bad English, I use Google Translate
UPD:
Through RSD Lite to flash now can only XT912 JB.
The phone turns on, but does not load launcher etc.
Other firmware via RSD not even installed. An error "failed flashing process 13/18 flash system".
I got that error too, try downloading the file again ut was a bad download or corrupted file...

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, this does not resolve the problem.
I think we should wait for the XML JB XT910.
I had the same problem, i switched from ICS to JB.vodafone and kept my root with Voodoo root keeper. One time my phone got into bootloop after restart (messed with build.prop a bit ).
Well i flashed a lot of stupid firmwares over RSD even x912 jellybean fastboot files on my x910 . But it just doesnt work
So a guy came to XDA forums and wrote this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2194825 I fallowed this instruction and got unbricked
I lost my Root, but i can atleast use my phone, which is more important :victory:
So there is one more side note to this tutorial
(as i flashed all sorts of files into my phone by trying to unbrick it, my partitions were a mess so)
So Before You use HDA-Pilot's instructions flash all partitions that you still have access to by hand.
Download EuroperRETAIL fastboot files that HDA gives you in his thread and flash with fastboot like this:
->fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
->fastboot flash cdrom cdrom_signed.img
...........
.....
...
Do this too all files and you will get error on system_signed and Boot.img, but your partitions will be ready to house euRetail JB and you will get System and Boot flashed on HSD-Pilot's tutorial, just before unbricking your doodles

Thank you! Excellent manual! It's simple and clear.
But, unfortunately:
Code:
mfastboot flash cdt.bin cdt.bin_signed
sending 'cdt.bin' (16 KB)... OKAY [ 0.000s]
writing 'cdt.bin'... INFOPreflash validation failure
FAILED (remote: )

Just ignore it
it doesnt matter as long as you fallow all at steps. the end should be unbricked, and it was bad tutorial just didnt have much time to make it easier to read.
i think cdt.bin was supposed to fail others will not, i just didnt remember the details as i did it week ago
So as i said just do it from start and copy all errors you get, as it may just be something i overlooked and it will still unbrick your phone hopefully, other wise we get more data on what might be wrong. Actually if you would agree on live session on team-viewer so i can control your pc and do it for you it would be ok too .
hi, i have an european gsm xt910 with deleted CID and verizion us jb (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182674).
i've been using it for a couple of weeks with no problem, but today, after i turned off the phone, each time i try to turn it on it appears a black screen with the following white things (like the fastboot mode):
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) (Boot Failure)
0A.6c
To return to normal mode - first press power key to power down
Device is LOCKED. Status code: 0
Battery OK
OKto Program

Data Cable

Invalid CG HAV (CG: wbtop, status: 0X004E)

is it bricked? do i have to follow HDA-Pilot's instructions or is it something different since i deleted my CID (although i have a backup, i can't recover it because i can't boot into recovery)?
if there's another way to recover my phone with keeping root would be great, but of course it's better to have a working phone without root than a rooted brick
this evening i'm leaving for the whole weekend, so it would be awesome if you could answer me asap, so i can (hopefully!) fix my phone before departing. TY!

ok, i got a new message similar to the previous one. this is the situation:
i have an italian gsm xt910 with deleted CID and verizion us jb (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2182674) and i tried to install the CM10.1 xt910 version. i use BMM.
- during boot i went to BMM and restored CID
- wiped everything
- installed the lastest CM10.1 nightly (0430) + gapps
and after i booted the phone it appeared the following message:
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) (Boot Failure)
0A.77
eMMC Info: Size 16G
To return to normal mode - first press power key to power down
Device is LOCKED. Status code: 0
Battery OK

and i can't go to recovery anymore, since this message appears ASAP the phone starts. what happened? how can i fix this? ty in advance.
i found this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2194825), but i'd rather not lose root + recover it using linux (never used linux), if it is possibile. is it enought to go here and install the retail UK firmware using RSD lite?
edit: ok i used rsd lite 6.15 + the UK JB firmware. now i'm fighting (using this thread) to gain my root rights back
I'm currently on the Verizon JB version on a GSM XT910 phone.
My question is can I use the following procedure to go back to ICS ?
1. Restore cid through BMM.
2. Reboot to AP fastboot mode.
3. Flash ICS with RSD lite.
Thanks in advance.

I've tried this about five times and I'm currently still trying to figure this out. I don't think It's going to work that way because Jelly Bean has a different kernel than ICS. I have tried flashing an ICS rom with safe strap and then flashing the fastboot ics files with rsd lite but I haven't been able to get it to flash the ICS rom.
Did you try this ?
1. Flash the fastboot files using rsd lite
2.Then enter into recovery and wipe your data and cache.
3.Power off your phone Reboot using bp tools
3. Root your device
Remember while rooting when the tool reboots your device press the vol- and vol at the same time when the phone switches off to enter in boot menu mode and reboot using bp tools mode, other wise u will see a black screen everytime you reboot.
4. Once done restore your cid using terminal emulator.
code: dd if=/sdcard/cid.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk1p18

Yes that's true for the Vodafone version being flashed with RSD.
I flashed the Verizon version with the cid trick.
I have this version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182674
I used this method to install it:
1. Install BMM 0.3.4 on stock ICS 4.0.4
2. Reboot to BMM, backup CID & whole system
3. Erase CID
4. Flash Kernel
4. Clear data, dalvik, cache
5. Flash ROM into System_1

For future reference, I did the razrguy method above:

But step 4 didn't work for me so I used BBM to restore the cid.
you can easily restore the cid in the AP Fastboot mode, just put the cid.img file in the fastboot folder, then use this command:
fastboot flash cid cid.img
and reboot

You welcome bro, Now using Samsung S10 Lite
(Boycottchina Movement )
I finally decided to root my phone today and unlocked the bootloader with all the excitement, but ran into this "boot/recovery destroyed" problem. All I did was flashing Orangefox image and installed magisk. I did some digging on google and found out, two things fixes it. 1) flashing the stock recovery, and then 2) flashing vbmeta.img with the commad "fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img". It actually solved the problem for me and now I'm back to orangefox and magisk works real good. There's no need to download an entire os for this fix. Nearly wasted 2gb of data on downloading the stock firmware, while I found this fix

Hey there,
It would be great if you could attached any error messages. Or what you exactly encountered after flashing vbmeta. For easy comm. you can contact on t.me/tempKChannel
Bricked my phone today and found this thread, thanks for everyone for providing solution!
My bootloader locked realme xt is displaying only the logo. No way to go to recovery, system or fastboot mode. Is is possible to still do something about it? I live in a region where there is no service center.
I've got a 8-9 month old XT with this exact issue. Phone is mint amd has always had a case and glass screen protector on it. No PC to flash files with fastboot so I ordered a POCO X3 NFC. Looking to sell it for $150 to somebody for an easy fix. Is that allowed on XDA?
I had to hire someone online to have it remotely serviced (on my PC).
Had boot/recovery destroyed message after attempting to flash a gsi. I followed the unbrick guide. I can access fastboot & boot into recovery, however touch input is not working so I'm unable to do anything. Phone sticks on the realme screen when attempting to let it boot. Any ideas? I live in the US so a service center isn't possible.

When to use?
-> If first time custom recovery installation is messed up because forgot to intall vbmeta_disabler in Recovery.
-> If you messed up and now stuck on fastboot mode and cannot go to recovery or system.
-> When your device is automatically rebooting to fastboot every 10-15 seconds.
-> Can also be used if you get a boot destroyed screen on trying to reboot to system and recovery.
How to use?
-> Download your vbmeta.img file of your device and put it inside your ADB or Platform Tools folder
-> Open CMD in ADB (You know it)
ADB commands :
Type "fastboot flash --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta vbmeta.img" (Don't press enter yet)
->Connect Usb to PC and long press device's volume down and power button to go to fastboot mode ( In some cases Fastboot mode remains only for few seconds)
->When you see fastboot mode in your Smartphone then you press ENTER in your PC
->If you see "success" in cmd then you can reboot to your custom recovery
