set DPI as per your mobile Screen resolution. Its not compatible with 140DPI
You can try 180/185/200/240 if possible.
ok Thnx ill try that later today and post what will happen

Hey guys,
Does anyone know how to change Pixel Density on the SGS2?
I'm running Cognition 1.05 on my SGS2...
With such a large beautiful screen, changin the Pixel Density will make more stuff fit in

Using 200 dpi is just great! You can test it with LcdDensity and set it for good if you have root with Nitrality. As launcher you can use Launcher Pro (Free or not) and set it for 5 columns and 6 rows. For a clock you can use Fancy Widgets...scales well and working great.
Good luck.
This looks great using Launcher pro and 200 dpi.
But I have some issues with my dialpad. possible to fix?
EDIT:
Got it working.
What I did:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14650421&postcount=38 <-- Downloaded Contacts.apk
Backup of system/app/contacts.apk, and then replaced it using the downloaded one.
Rebooted into CWM and cleared cache.
Reboot and it should work.
Running Cognition S2 v1.07
Can this contack apk working on stock ROM?

It should work with stock KE7 rom. But dont blame me if it doesnt.
sorry for noob question, tried searching for a bit but didnt seem to find a answer myself
I had have been using stock rom since day 1 and just now I have flashed dismitty the collective rom... after installing ss launcher and reset my wallpaper I found the resolution is way off.... I tried using FJ-tools to reset the screen DPI to 320 but it didnt help at all... anyone have any idea how can I set it back?
Is it possible to change the DPI on stock or Sammy based roms rooted or is this only possible on CM9 AOSP based roms. I would like to keep a Samsung based rom for all the unique apps Samsung have developed for the S3 but I cant get away with the huge icons and DPI. CM9 based looks so much better so I am torn between the two.
DPI can be changed in the build prop on rooted roms via rom explorer .
Or in a custom rom Samsung build .

in /system/ find build.prop
open in text editor
find this
ro.sf.lcd_density = ''
and change the digits to any of u like
dont forget, changing the dpi in sammy roms will have the usual probs like unscaled dialer and a poor theming for camera. setting the dpi too low will crash the stock launcher, so install a secondary launcher before starting

Just tested on my S3 with stock ROM + root and it works. Just as a note, you should have a keyboard other then the standard Samsung, it keeps freezing over and over until you change it to another one.

for rooted phones, flash the xposed framework.. there app settings module (i think) enables DPI settings.. (you may need to search for the module..)
I tried to set dpi to 300 and it works very well on sammy 4.3 ML2 rom. Dialer looks weird as mentioned above, but I use pixelphone app and issue is solved for me.
I'm trying to change the DPI from 320 to 240, but everytime the phone wont boot. any ideas? im using android revolution hd 9.0.0 with stock android jb launcher. ofc i made a backup, well my phone is running, but i still want to change the dpi. i used dpi density modder
