How to restore the IMEI number ?
The IMEI number on my S3 is completely gone, i installed a custom ROM and after it booted up i wasnt getting any signal. i didnt a little reasearch and found out the imei number file has been deleted and is wasnt backed up. does anyone know how to recover the IMEI number? I reverted back to the stock rom and unrooted my device but the IMEI thats underneath the battery doesnt match with the one it shows when i dial *#06#, when i dial that the IMEI is 004999010640000/01 and when it was rooted and on a stock rom it showed "null". if anyone knows how to fix this can you please give a detailed walkthrough on what to do.

I have Samsung Galaxy Skyrocket SGH=i727R (Rogers) is show No Sim Card inserted, and in dialing says not registered on network, in setting abount device, status, network shows Unknown and Basband showing and IMEI showing by pressing *#06# correct imei showing only problem is that not showing SIM Card so displaying emergency calls only! It is came from USA with jelly bean installed locked, I unlocked it here in pakistan, then working for 2 months still running on JellyBean 4.1.2 and now no sim card inserted issue again.
I tried many Radios AT&T ROGERS and T989 not work.
Please Help.
