I don't really feel like going all the way back to stock and then going through the whole root and unlock process, so is there a way to have the tz partition updated with a flashable zip and be able to flash all these awesome new roms coming out?
( I'm on snowjb 1.1)

Look in development section for teenybin
No flashable way, but the process has been made quicker. Like gunnyman said, checkout the android development section for TeenyBins from autoprime, I LGNPST'd the TeenyBin (alternate) to get my TZ/RPM updated. I've tried 3 AOSP/AOKP roms since then, so it definitely worked.

Which way is better to upgrade to 2.3.6? OTA or a different way? If it's a different way how do I do it?
Thank you.

threads about 2.3.6 are all over the place here. expect the moderators to shut this one down.
I wouldn't even bother updating to 2.3.6 unless it's a custom ROM. there are so many problems with the stock 2.3.6.
I am on Unnamed which is based on 2.3.6. It is good for me.
Read around though.

Hello xda been a long time.
I just noticed that the latest version of hulu plus throws a drm error at me.
The previous versions worked fine and I was wondering if more people on other roms are having the same problem and if there are any fixes.
Please list your rom and device in your reply.

Maybe it throws that error because of the lost DRM keys when unlocking the bootloader.

I don't think that is the case as I have yet to see or hear of any method the unlock bootloaders on droid 2 or even the dx.

Ok. Just got my phone back from repair centre after i had soft bricked it. Was previously using gingerbread roms and now that i have had it updated it is on 4.0.3 and want to root again due to shocking battery life from stock t-mobile Rom. Previously i used odin to flash lightening Rom which gave me root. So, with the below details should i just flash an insecure kernel using odin and then use recovery to flash new Rom. To be honest i am happy with stock Rom but just want better battery life.

I wonder if the Cyanogemmod for LG Optimus 3D MAX is on the way, because the 2.3.6 that comes in it is a drug kkk. I'm asking for some information because you can not wait to LG.
Mainly because a phone with these specs come with android 2.3.6 is a joke.
The model of my phone is p720h Brazil
Moved to Android General section.
In order to get CyanogenMod you will need to compile it.

You're not giving a lot of info.. What did you do to get here? Can you still access recovery or fastboot? Is the device wiped? What programs did you use? etc..
looks like you flashed 20A at some point.. and are now trying to flash the 10D and 10J files.
instead use the 20A or 20C KDZ and it'll work.
you can't downgrade from N to M using LGUP on the H830... so have to flash another N KDZ instead (20a/c)
I'm good
