I have curious problem... I finally flashed stock JB via OTA update with stock JB kernel, I have TWRP 2.4.4.0. recovery (if I understood correctly it is made especially for JB) my CID is HTC_032. Everything looks OK, but I am unable to flash JB Custom ROM's as:
Desire X Stock ROM 2.20.401.5 Jelly Bean Sense 4+ and [Sense 4+]|Sense.Revolution +|[R1] (In both cases it writtens in Red that it has failed
But interesting is that when I try to flash random one of ICS Custom ROM it flashes successfully and it is ready to use... Are there any suggestions how can I flash any of JB Custom ROM?

Try Nexus prime recovery modified by atis112 for JB. It worked for me.

ICS roms are beta at best, I wouldn't advise flashing one.
There is CM9 which is AOSP and there is Samsung leaks, all need ICS bootloaders, search and read before you even consider flashing any of the ICS roms.
how to get ics bootloader?? will it be automatically there if i flash a ics leaked rom??

Depends on the rom, stock ones will come with ICS bootloaders, you *may* need them first for CM9. Also if you want to go back to gingerbread from ICS you will most than likely need to flash back to the old bootloaders from this thread.
Krarvind said that you can possibly flash the datadata kernel for the HB ROMs to the slimbean Ron, you just need to clear data. I did however I lost system apps but say they are still there, like phone or browser. Any ideas?
Check out the Hellybean nightlies Here and here and the Devil Kernel for ICS here and Jelly Bean here for the Galaxy S and variants.
Hello there, this is my first day with my Samsung Galaxy S III. Coming from the Nexus, x user of S1, S2, Note.
On my Touchwiz rom days, When switching between Touchwiz & AOSP roms, used not to be directly successful. So is it the same case on my S III now ? Like when flashing an AOSP rom, when reverting back, what are the required steps? Thank you. Enjoying this device, the display is just AWESOME
all you have to do is make a factory reset in cwm and flash a zipped custom rom or simply put your mobile in download mode and flash the stock rom via odin.
I just flashed CM10 from Stock 4.0.4 Touchwiz rom. So now basically, if I want to flash a Jelly Bean Touchwiz rom, I just flash in CWM? And when I want to go back from Jelly Bean to AOSP, same thing? - Just trying to avoid bootloops and using Odin or such...TY

Yes you can flash back and forth..........just make sure you WIPE WIPE WIPE correctly. so you do NOT have those issues.
believe it or not improper or not fully wiping your phone before flashing a new rom are alot of the reasons why some people have bugs that others do not.
Can i flash stock JB (I9300XXELLA) SDS Fixed Kernel in a ICS Stock ROM?
I just want to install the kernel on my ICS Stock Rom, is it possible or the kernel being JB will cause problems in my ICS System
Why are you still on ICS?
I'm pretty sure you can't flash just the stock kernel without the ROM. Update to JB and flash a custom kernel that has the fix, like perseus

I like the battery duration of ICS, also i ve read lot that JB drains a lot more battery and doesn't last as long.
You can't fix SD on ICS
I have the HTC One AT&T (JB 4.3) and i just flashed the PAC rom(4.3). I want to flash the ElementalX kernel and there is a kernel for sense based roms and sense based jelly bean roms. I was wondering what is the difference between a Sense based rom and a Sense based Jelly Bean rom? Which one do i flash to my phone? I dont want to end up with a $600 paperweight. And also what is an AOSP based rom?
I suggest doing some reading before flashing anything

Do not flash the elementalx kernel or you may brick your device or put it in a bootloop. Those are for sense based roms only. PAC rom is an AOSP (stock Android) based rom. Try looking for kernels for AOSP roms.
