Use the BIBLE, it has the ODIN files in it under the ROMS section. This belongs in Q&A btw.

[Q] Bell Galaxy S2 stock kernel?

Hello fellow Bell Galaxy s2 users,
I read tons of posts that said the stock kernel for our Galaxy s2 is not available to download from Samsung server. However, if you go to https://opensource.samsung.com/ and search I9100M, there is one file available for download.
Now, I don't know whether this is the kernel or something else entirely...... could somebody verify what this file could be?
Cheers,
I believe that file is the source code for our firmware. Unfortunately we cant just flash it to our phones. I'm not an expert on this but I think that it still needs to be compiled.
can't someone compile it then and post it? How hard can it be? or is there bigger problems than that?
Yes. I agree, please compile this! I really would love to have a flashable stock rom for my GT-I9100M.

[Q] Recommended modem for Vodafone AU?

Hey,
Im running the GT-I9100T from Vodafone on Australia, currently running MIUI 1.8.19 and wish to flash to another modem other than the KH3 currently on here as the reception is less than good.
I was hoping to find the original KF4 modem shipped with the stock firmware available from kies, but alas could not find it. I only found KF2, or KG1 and above.. I was looking at this thread :
http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/s...II-Shipped-Radio-Collection?p=42051#post42051
for modems but was wondering who in Australia gets the best receptions with which modem?
Cheers!
EDIT : Can the modem.bin file from the original firmware downloaded through kies that is KF4 be extracted and placed in another rom to flash? or just flash through odin/cwm?

I'm with Optus and I find KH3 to be quite good for me. If you have the modem.bin file you can flash it through CWM, but you need to make it a flashable zip.
Otherwise you might be able to put it into another rom.
EDIT: The best way to find out which modem gives you the best reception is to test them out

What do you want help with? Flashing with Odin? First go to Sammobile.com and get 4.1.2 firmware from there. I'll give you a link for flashing with Odin if you can't find a good one.

This link is for the S3 but flashing with Odin is the same as with the s2. I link you to this as its a good guide but do remember that's it's for the S3 so don't be silly and flash i9300 firmware on you're i9100. Hope you understand if not tell me and i'll delete the link. Read it and understand what you need to do before you flash with Odin.
Reading is easy, fixing is not. :screwy:

I meant my phone is unlocked but on sammobile.com I found this
GT-I9100 United Kingdom (Vodafone) 2014 January 4.1.2 I9100XWMS2 I9100VODLSF kies
at the end was Kies icon
Pick a carrier free one.
But i can't see the option of choosing carrier

If you're planning on rooting and installing a custom ROM again you may as well just go with the Vodaphone one then go from there. I do have a copy of the unbranded one (can't remember where from) so it is out there if you really need it, only downloaded it last week.
I rooted using Philz kernel, if you search XDA for that you will find the info on how to do it and it seemed the easiest way to go...
