Ok so i recently just purchased the HTC One and i rooted it yesterday. The problem im having is so i was a watching a video and all of sudden it turns off and doesn't turn back on I've tried charging it several times and also tried holding both power and voulme buttons down at the same time and also tried taking the sim card out?? Can somebody tell me what's wrong because i'm really confused.

Had the phone for just under a month and after a big night out my battery died. Put phone in charger and left over night. Woke up and phone wouldn't turn on. i have tried everything. also read all the other posts.
I have taken out the battery for 20min and put back in. i have removed SD card and done a battery drop too many times.
When i plug the phone to the charger the light comes on for 2-3 seconds and turns off again.
1)Was just wondering of solutions people have come up with that have worked!?!
2)Also if i send the Phone back for a warranty replacement will i get a replacement considering the phone is rooted and has a custom rom flashed?
3)does the CWR have anything to do with the phone not charging?
Am currently going to try to charge the battery manually by using the wires in one of my cords and attached them to the + & - point on the battery. this worked on my HD2 might just work for my Evo.
more than likely is a bad connection. try a new usb cable and i bet it will solve your problem
CWM 5.0.2.0 won't charge when the phone switchs off.
try plug in to pc and do adb reboot bootloader

hey thanks for all your responses. have tired 3 different cables.
1. i bought from ebay
2. i have for my WD HD
3. my HTC cable that came with my phone and I still get the same thing. Wont boot.
I have found that when i have my charger plugged in my phone and do a battery drop and then put it back in the charging light flashes 5-6 times but that the only thing that's different. still doesn't boot.
Holding the camera button doesn't work.
To be honest i cant remember what version of CWM I have but i'm 99% sure it has charged before when asleep. i will check what version i downloaded when i get home.
just a little more information:
I had flashed a new rom the night i went out. Everything was working. making calls, sms and camera but when i flashed my rom i had a wifi error so i flashed a kernel that matches the rom. that's about it. phone battery died that now your up to date.
would still like to know if i could send this back to get a replacement? not too sure how it goes with the whole phone being rooted and a new cooked rom on it? i bought the phone on ebay and i live in Australia so if i was to send the phone back it would take ages. just want to make sure they will replace before i send it off.
however any other solutions would be much appreciated.
OK! So took the SD card and the battery OUT for 30min then put the battery back in with the SD card sill OUT and pressed the volume down button and power on button (i had done this before but didn't seem to work last time)...
Didn't boot up so got frustrated and kept hitting the power button with the volume button still held down. When i let go of the volume down button the phone finally booted up into recovery!! Problem Solved! its charging ATM but i dont understand what the SD card has to do with the phone not booting up? will keep it charged until I get home so I can back up my data and reformat my SD card!
If anyone know about what the the SD card has to do with the phone not booting please let me know pretty interested to find out why that is?
I would also like to know about warranty information considering phone is rooted and has a flashed stock rom. I'm sure people out there have a phone that are rooted and flashed but wont turn on! if the phone doesn't turn on can't HTC just replace the Phone as they have no other way to find out if the phone is rooted and flashed?
I know these are separate questions but if anyone knows the answers, would be much appreciated to find out.

what i don't understand is that i had charged my phone fully then powered it down. now the battery is fully discharged only showing 1% but it is on an charging.

hi, also I have the same problem! i've removed the battery and the SD-Card for a lot of time..I've reboot the phone without the SD but when i plug the phone to the charger the light comes on for 2-3 seconds and turns off again (and my EVO 3D GSM Wont Turn On!)..please help me!!

My Galaxy S2 will not respond, will not power on at all.
I put it on AC charger before I went to bed (like I been doing for a year) and in the morning I was not able to power the beast on.
The phone is rooted, it's on 2.3.4 stock, 8 moths ago I flashed an insecure kernel so I can use BLN, I had the yellow triangle for about 3 weeks and then it suddenly disappeared. Since then I been using the phone with no problem, I haven't made any other software "adjustments".
I tried another charger, I tried other battery, I tried Download mode, Recovery mode, computer USB, nothing works...
What could have happen? I haven't installed any apps lately either.
I forgot, once every like 4 weeks the phone randomly shuts off and will start vibrating, and it's unresponsive until I remove the battery and power it back on.

I wasn't sure where to post this, since my phone doesn't have a specific forum... I have a Motorola Razr V XT885 running Android 4.0.4 on Virgin Mobile. For the last week it has been rebooting randomly. Normally this would be a minor annoyance, but it has been taking 4 hours to finish booting back up. Today it just died, while charging.
I use the charger that came with the phone and I have tried 2 others, nothing at all. If I plug the phone into my computer it recognizes it and installs drivers. But I get no indication that the phone actually works. No LED light, no phone off charging screen, nothing. I have tried just turning it on, I have tried the power +volume button and I have tried removing the SIM and SD cards. So far nothing has worked....
Can anyone give me any indication as to what might have happened to my phone?
Might be a hardware problem. Take it ti tech service... From what i hear it seems it's not software related...

Got it to power on last night. It's now been stuck at the boot up screen for 8 hours.... If it's a hardware problem I'll just replace it, I've been looking for an excuse to get a new phone anyway.

Recently I've been using my Desire and it was going good. Nothing unusual happening. All of a sudden my phone turns off and wont turn back on! I've tried charging it to see if it was out of battery, I've tried pressing down the power button and the volume buttons, but nothing happened! I haven't been doing anything to my phone lately, so I don't know what the problem is.
The screen isn't cracked, but I've dropped it a bit.
Please help.
Had exactly the same issue after 3 weeks of use.
HTC support had to replace the motherboard to fix it.

I have an HTC Desire X bricked. So i can charge the phone, the red led lights, but i can't turn it on. I was unlocking bootloader and installing costum rom and in a minute i couldn't turn on the phone. I press the power button for 10-20 seconds but it doesn't start. Can u help me? I have the very same issue with my Desire X I rooted yesterday, following the procedure described on the hackatab website (I cannot post the link here, but you will find it easily on google...)
The strangest part is that I managed to boot it properly 1-2 times, but unfortunately since the back cover was not properly mounted the battery fell while turned on. When I tried to start it again everything went as totika10 described.
Trying the 'lower volume button + power on' technique does not change anything, the phone remains turned off in any case. Another strange, but critical, behaviour is the fact that it randomly vibrates 7 times in a row (even without touching anything...)
Is there something very wrong in the unlocking/rooting procedure? Do you think it is completely worthless trying to recover it?
