I am using Samsung Galaxy Ace GT- S5830i, using stock rom, rooted and having a 1.5 gb 2nd partition on Sd card. Whenever I download an app from Play store , it gets installed in my SD card (1st partition) after which i link the apk+dex+lib manually using Link2sd. Whenever i link the app, i saw that i recover the size equivalent to the dex size in my internal memory, for eg if the dex size is 2 mb and lib size is 4 mb and my internal free space is 30 mb before linking, then after linking the files i saw the internal free space is shown 32 mb. I don't understand why i didn't recover the space due to the lib files. Is it that the library files are not deleted from the internal memory but are merely copied to the Sd 2nd partition. I am confused. Please help.

hi everyone. i would like to you if i can change the internal memory of the I5500 samsung.
i have only 187 mega, i need more space. i don't know why but android don't consider my sd card as the internal memory.
if i move my apps to the sd card i still need more space.
do you know some trick to change the size of the memory ?
thank you very much
Uninstall some pre-installed apps
Sent from my R800i using XDA App
cause your internal memory it's not the same as the SD card for android.
if you want more space, deleting stock apps that you won't use can give you back some Mb... more space only 2.2+ with moving apps to SD
or u can use app2sd or s2e, that use a partition of the sd card like internal memory.
For example I have 4gb sd card, that has 1gb ext4 (it is used for internal memory) and 3gb fat (that it's used for files and data)
But for do this u can have a cooked rom like cyano or mad-rom

Hi, i own a Samsung Galaxy Young GT-S6310, and i'm too disperate with my internal memory... i have tryed many methods:
1. Editing Vold.Fstab file, but it's impossible because it will not show internal Mount Point.
2. Searched on Play Store and downloaded "External 2 Internal" app and i have installed it, then i have swapped memory, but internal and external shows same values...
3. Downloaded "Link2SD" app and i have created a Ext2 partition on my SD Card... but nothing (shows my memory is emulated)...
Please i'm disperate i will increase my internal memory because i must download games... Thanks for supporting me, Bye Bye

try GL to SD, it's free application on playstore, and easy to use
So, I have a samsung galaxy young s6312, stock android 4.1.2 jellybean, rooted. Since the internal memory is very low, I use link2sd to link app files to my external sd card. Now I have created an ext2 partition of 1.5 gb to use with link2sd. but now the partition is full, and my internal memory is also full, because I have installed about 3gb of apps in my phone, half are in the second partition, and half are on my internal memory. so now I want to know if there is a way I can increase the size of my second partition. if I had enough memory, I would have moved the apps to my internal memory temporarily, but I don't have enough internal memory to move the linked apps to my internal memory. so is there any way to increase size of second partition without formatting it?? NOTE: I don't have any problem in formatting the first partition if necessary, but I can't format the second partition. NOTE: the sd card I use is of 8 gb...
Thanks...........
I have the same issue...
... so I'm disappointed to see that no one has replied.
I have a rooted LD-D520 with Android 4.1.2. Since I quickly ran out of memory I added an 8GB SD card and partitioned it with a 1.5GB ext2. I used Link2SD to them move over most all my apps. I don't have that many, but some of them have gotten so big (FB, Skype, etc.) that I now have only 5% free space on the ext2. I don't have much space left on the internal memory either, so I thought I'd try to make the ext2 partition bigger. (There's lot of free space on the SD card since I'm not using much of the other partition.) I tried using the MiniTool Partition Wizard, but even after reducing the size of the non-ext2 partition to create some unallocated space I was still unable to resize the ext2 partition.
Any suggestions? Is there an easy way to do this?
CanvasHD has 4GB of advertised space out of which only 0.9GB is available for apps installation while other 1.7GB is for files.
Now for me 0.9GB is just too little to install apps. Is there a way to change partition sizes and get more space from 1.7GB partition to the 0.9GB partition. I don't mind if I have only 500MB for files because most of my files are stored to my SD Card. Please Help. I'm tired of that low storage warning.
And yes, I'm rooted...

Hello I am using a Micromax p480 with Android 5.0.1.I have rooted it and installed link2sd . My second partition is 3.50GB .I want to install the dark Knight rises. The obb file is 1.78 GB and although my second partition is free my internal memory is only 212 MB and hence I can not paste in the obb folder as insufficient storage message comes up. Where should I paste it. I have already installed and linked the app to SD card
